Arion Boutique Hotel

We were really looking forward to our stay at Arion based on the glowing reviews for this property and the appearance of their website. We booked it as somewhat of a "splurge" at the end of our trip. However for the price that is charged I don't feel the property lived up to the expectation $$$. The property is somewhat dated in terms of the furnishings in the room and the location is kind of alone, past Asteria Beach and at the top of a Hill. Almost a bit isolated in terms of atmosphere. It felt like you were creeping around the place (almost) being watched every time you came and went, due to the dynamic of the room/s setup. It just feels very old fashioned accommodation and this was not comfortable and lacked that relaxed good feel vibe. The breakfast was very simple especially if you were staying for longer than a couple of nights. The off cuts of bread for toast that exact same bread every day, no barista coffee machine and a lot of sweet stuff on offer. The best part was the fresh fruit/s and yoghurt! Lastly the water charge... Charging for the local Greek water that they stock in the mini bar I think is a bit sad based on the price you pay for the room. All Hotels I have stayed on Greek Islands provide water free of charge! At least a large bottle in the fridge on arrival to get you started. This should have been clear that they charge for this as part of the "mini bar". It's trying to be Boutique but missing the mark...

We couldn't ask for better, from the first to the last minute of our stay at this place. We stayed in the room with the private patio and direct access to the terrace overlooking the sea and the small rocky beach. The friendliness and efficiency of the staff, the good taste in the decoration, the comfort of the room, the silence, the view over the sea, the impeccable cleanliness, the location and the high quality of the breakfast make this hotel a place to return and recommend. Thank you so much for a wonderful 6 days and the sweet gifts!

Absolutely perfect! There is nothing we would change. This family owned hotel is an oasis of beauty and peace. On top of a cliff, the amazing view from the room is unique. The sound of the sea and the wind acompanies your stay. Depi is willing to help and assist clients in wichever they need. We felt spoiled by the whole family in this paradise.

A family run 6 room boutique hotel at an excellent spot in Syros. Very clean and spacious room , beautiful sea view and a home made breakfast that satisfies all your needs; not to mention the warm and welcoming friendly service that makes you feel hone.

Excellent location - about 10 mins stroll (slight slope) into town. We stayed in one of the upper terrace rooms. The room was bright & well equipt. Terrace large - got sun in morning but shade in afternoon. Beautiful view. We named the maid “supper maid” as I’ve never seen as much care & attention when cleaning a room. On the first morning she even brought up a case stand for my husbands case as it was on the floor in the room. Breakfast was nice - homemade jams & marmalade. You have to leave a form each day with your request for the following morning. I did ask for 3 min soft boiled eggs (an option on the form) a couple of times but kept getting cold hard boiled eggs! So would avoid that option. Depi & the girls obviously take a great pride in their work & run a military operation. Very helpful with questions. A few minor things: would have been nice to have a second sun lounger on the terrace. Wi-Fi - you have to re log in every time. Minor I know & the password is easy to remember but a small inconvenience. If arriving from the port arrange your own taxi it’s only €5 but the hotel charge €20 to collect you. Would recommend a stay here.

Our stay at the Arion Boutique Hotel was incredible! Our room had an incredible view overlooking the Mediterranean with a gorgeous balcony where we enjoyed peaceful mornings. Thank you to Depi and staff, the hotel was beautiful and so well maintained. The breakfast was amazing, the best we had in Greece by far. The hotel is in a safe quiet neighborhood that was just a quick walk into the city center. I highly recommend the Arion Hotel, it was such a peaceful and relaxing stay and we talk about how much we miss staying there all the time back at home.
