Very basic hotel but clean enough and did the job for one night stay. Reception only open for a few hours so check that your arrival time is within these hours as the main door is locked and only accessible by keypad. Receptionist was friendly and helpful. Plenty of car parking spaces. Had to drive into town as approx 30 min walk and was too far to walk in the heat. Supermarket on the doorstep. Breakfast was a decent continental offering. The building feels like an old hospital and has a strange feeling to it...I wouldn't like to walk around it alone at night! OK for an overnight stop but wouldn't book for a longer stay.

AVOID Don't stay in this hotel if: you like your room dark, your beds not creaky, but most of all if you would like your hotel to take responsibility for other guests being able to enter your room during the night. Around 2:30 PM we were woken up by another (drunk) guest in our room, who was accompanied by a group of friends outside. My wife was terrified. Safe to say we did not sleep much after that. The next day we took this up with the reception, where security footage showed that the door opened by itself in the early hours of the night. The door had been closed properly and locked. The hotel proceeded to do their very best to put the blame for this occurrence on us and on the guest entering our room in the middle of the night, even when it turned out the door-closing mechanism was faulty as it was not screwed onto the door. The hotel manager even tried to downplay the fact that the door-closing mechanism was faulty to us. Then, the email address they provided to us to escalate our complaint bounced (yes, we double-checked the spelling). As a result, we've lost all trust in this hotel, and we'd not be surprised if they try to blame us again for the door opening by itself due to a faulty door-closing mechanism in the middle of the night in a response below. At least none of our things were taken and my wife wasn't alone in the room. It could have been much worse than a few lost hours of sleep. We will never stay in any Vacancéole property ever again. We'd recommend you to do the same.

La Résidence " Les Demeures Champenoises " sont implantées dans une ancienne caserne militaire, bâtiments rénovés bien sûr, mais tout en conservant le style cossu et massif de ce type de construction du siècle précédent. L'aménagement interne est moderne et les appartements de location sont confortables et rationnellement conçus. A noter qu'à notre arrivée on n'a pu que constater la grande propreté de l'appartement qui nous était destiné, mais pas seulement, car les locaux de services, les couloirs et ascenseurs étaient également très propres et en parfait état. Lors des horaires d'ouverture de l'accueil, les personnels sont sympathiques et accueillants avec pour leitmotiv de satisfaire les clients de passage dans l'établissement. L'accueil c'est important, mais les services le sont également et là aussi le personnel est tout aussi accueillant, professionnel et prêt à rendre service avec toujours le sourire aux lèvres. Merci à eux toutes et tous pour l'excellent accueil dont nous avons pu profiter lors de notre séjour de deux semaines dans leur établissement, établissement que l'ont ne peut que recommander pour tous séjours dans cette belle ville d'Épernay.

Très bon accueil de l'équipe sur place (communication, organisation, explication, sourire). Par contre les tables dans les salles de restauration auraient besoin d'être changées ou réparées, elles sont très instables, ça ne fait pas du tout professionnel). Merci Cordialement
