The Old Hall Ely

Most inviting welcome. Then offered delicious tea and cake. Room was beautifully decorated and spacious, bed extremely comfortable with views over the amazing landscaped gardens. Great breakfast too, good choice of high quality produce.

We stayed here 8th October and I have to say this is without doubt one of the most immaculately kept Hotels we have ever had the pleasure to stay in. The welcome received from all members of staff is second to none, the rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, needless to say they are spotlessly clean. The food is amazing and the grounds are to a standard of Royal Households Well done to Mrs M and all of her dedicated team …we will be back !

The Old Hall Ely has become one of our favourite haunts when we want to dress up a bit, have top quality food and a special night out. Everything here seems perfect. We have also stayed overnight and the rooms are fabulous. Great place that is accessible for wheelchair users too.

We had a great stay here. Clean comfortable spacious room. Excellent night sleep. Gorgeous view from our private balcony. Really impressive property with a lot of time and effort put into the landscaping and overall design. Lots of outdoor seating though it was a bit too damp and chilly when we stayed there to enjoy. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner unavailable the night we stayed but very friendly staff member gave us recommendations and we were happy. Plenty of parking and nicely situated a bit outside of town but easy quick car ride in.

We had the most incredible day celebrating our wedding at The Old Hall Ely. The staff were so supportive and professional throughout the entire process of planning the wedding and through the day itself. The setting of the ceremony was amazing, as were the areas for the reception, wedding breakfast, and dance floor. The rooms were some of the best I’ve ever seen and the food was complimented by all of our guests. There wasn’t a thing we’d change. Wow! What can I say The Old Hall was amazing. Hospitality is at the forefront of what ever they do. Nothing was to much and we were welcomed as if we had been their on many occasions before. How lovely it was to talk to the family Alison and Antonia and finding out about the history of their wonderful home. This was a very poignant occasion for my husband and as as I had suffered a serious accident and this was our first trip out in 6 months. I would have not wished to spend it anywhere else. Although this was an overnight stay for the The Old Hall it was for us a very memorable occasion. The room was beautiful and the snug was gorgeous. Breakfast was catered to for us as we are vegetarian and how delicious it was. We had a small walk around the grounds that were breathtaking. What a real gem. We will definitely be returning.

Visited the Old Hall for a family birthday, cannot recommend the place enough. The venue is stunning, particularly the grounds. Lots of family photo opportunities. We had a selection of Graze boards, the food was lovely, good selection and quality produce. Service was excellent, very attentive and polite. The whole family enjoyed the evening.

This was a lovely stay!! The property is gorgeous, well-groomed, comfortable, and airy. It is so well-designed, too. GORGEOUS interiors… The room was grand and luxurious. We were in a big suite with a HUGE bathroom, bigger than my first NYC apartment, and a claw foot bathtub. The staff was kind and helpful, attentive, and lovely. It is DEFINITELY a wedding venue… the music that is played in the lobby if 2000s wedding hits, ie Maroon 5 vibes. We were one of probably three couples / groups there, so it was a bit eerie at times. The property is a great location, but in that, it is extremely close to the highway and I had to sleep with ear plugs both nights. The pathways around the property are all dead-ends into farm land now, so that was a bummer. It was a lovely stay, but would I return for a little getaway, no. Would I recommend someone take the place over for a wedding and house their family and wedding party there, most definitely!
