"Excellent hotel with a beautiful view. Very friendly staff. Great breakfasts and dinners. I recommend this hotel. The room is spacious. The beds are comfortable. In the morning at sunrise, there are beautiful views of the mountains. By the pool, there's a mini-bar where you can order beer, snacks, cocktails – everything you need. We loved everything. It's close to the city center where all the cafes and restaurants are, and not far from the Nine Arch Bridge. Choose this hotel, you won't regret it."

"It's a very interesting guest house. The hostess's service is very good. As long as you have needs, she will work hard to help you. As soon as you check in, she will ask you if you want tea or coffee. Sri Lankan coffee is very special and looks like a combination of coffee and tea. . The scenery outside the room is really good, with a mountain view and a waterfall. When looking at the scenery, there are many small animals, not to mention squirrels, and they are all well-behaved and cute. The location is also convenient. Tutu car or car It is convenient to get there. It is only 1-2 kilometers from the train station. You can take a tutu to many scenic spots."

"We had a wonderful stay at Greenland Villa. It is perfectly located right next to the Kithal Ella train station, from which you can directly board the famous train that goes through the nine arch bridge. The property was beautiful, very well equipped with everything we needed including a great kitchen. It was clean, well ventilated, and more importantly it felt like home. The owner took time to decorate it with great taste. On top of that he was such a humble and polite person.Upon arrival he gave us a ride to get our groceries; another day he brought us his homegrown vegetables, which was such a nice gesture. Having said that, there were a couple of issues that needed to be addressed. The WiFi connection was not great, probably because of the location, but we struggled with it. And the breakfast was very carb-heavy, which may work for you but wasn't particularly to our liking. Nonetheless, We would book it again if I ever come back to Ella. We can only recommend Greenland villa highly."

"Perfect Stay in the Heart of Ella! We recently stayed at Bridge Front Inn and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Everything about this place is excellent. The staff here are incredibly attentive and friendly; they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We were greeted with a complimentary freshly made passion fruit juice, which was a delicious way to start our stay. The location is simply ideal — right next to the iconic Nine Arch Bridge, making it super convenient for exploring Ella's main attractions on foot. Although we didn't use their shuttle service because we weren't aware of it when booking, the owner kindly agreed to drive us to a restaurant one evening, showing true hospitality. The food was another highlight, absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet deserves a special mention as there is an enormous selection of dishes to choose from. Our room was spotlessly clean with fresh bed linen and brilliantly white towels. Highly recommended!"

Misty Villas is truly a beautiful place. We were greeted with a warm welcome, and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, and every one was very friendly and accommodating to the guest. The rooms were luxurious, truly comparable to a 5 star hotel. I would especially like to commend Mr. Roshan, the manager. Who was incredibly kind, friendly, helpful and lovely. His expetional service made our stay even more enjoyable. "We booked this hotel well in advance with an advance payment, which based on the request of the hotel. During the advance payment, inquired about the hotel access road for the vehicles, was possible and confirmed by the hotel itself. On the arrival day (16th April) we turned from the main road to the hotel access road and the drive possibility was limited to certain distance from the main road. We tried our best to take our vehicle up to the hotel even with the help of people were in around, was not possible due to the condition of the road. We contacted the hotel and reported this difficulty and unfortunately the option got from the hotel was, somehow take the vehicle up to the hotel. Since it is almost night, no body was willing to assist us in around, unless we walk up to the hotel with all the luggages and belongings. We made our last effort for some time to move our vehicle up to the hotel and we had to give up all our efforts finally. Since the hotel did not take any further assistance towards us, we had to to look for an alternative option to spend the night. We asked for the possibility of getting a shuttle service, was just ignored. Sad part is, still we did not get any favourable assistance or courtesy call to check our condition and this made us a really disappointment with the hotel. We never received such a negative behaviour and negative attitude from any of the hospitality properties. There is no refund for our advance payment even."

"It's true that this guesthouse is a bit out of town (a small road). But what peace and quiet, and what authenticity! I really appreciated the warm welcome from this dedicated gentleman. And what a pleasure it was to wake up and discover this place nestled in the heart of the forest. My best breakfast of my entire stay in Sri Lanka, with a view of the mountains and lush vegetation. The room, with its original decor ;-) is very clean and offers all the essential amenities (great Wi-Fi, hairdryer, blankets—essential in this cool mountain spot...). But above all, it's authentic, and the gentleman is lovely and incredibly attentive. He truly deserves to work more. I will definitely return. It's a welcome change from hotels!"

"It’s a very cozy hotel in the heart of the jungle surrounded by trees and a breathtaking scenery. The rooms are kind of small but still worth it. Very friendly and helpful staff they ordered us a tuk tuk and waited for us even after the breakfast time to make us food. For those who aren’t used to mosquitoes, get some bug spray as you might have like 2 or three in the room but nothing dangerous. Special thanks to Dinith and the team."

"This hotel is located some 15km from Ella town centre. Fine if you have transportation, awesome if you enjoy the calls of Mother Nature. No so, if the above two points don't apply to you. Other than the above, the staff are friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. They took pains to explain where every facility was located in the hotel. As for the rooms, you get a large room. Yes, it's a rather large room, clean, comfortable and a lovely balcony to sit and relax. As the hotel is located on a hill, the weather is cooler than most areas in the Ella region, truly a great place to relax and unwind. The negative side is that the walls and floors are transparent. So if you have noisy neighbours like we had, their incessant talking, dragging of furniture and even footsteps kept us awake till the early hours of the morning. For this, this was a downside. Surely, the highlight of our stay is the restaurant food. Be it an Ala carte mea; order, or the buffet breakfast, the food is truly excellent. I'd say one of the best meals in the entire 9-day of our stay in Sri Lanka"

"Service was top notch but it’s located on a hill. Even though the entrance to the hotel is on the main Ella street, it takes a lot of effort to walk up the steep slopes up to the hotel. The decoration is also very dated. Views are great but it’s just a very old hotel that I don’t feel comfortable in"

"The smell of the room is indescribable. We booked it because the surrounding good hotels were fully booked. The hotel bellhops were incredibly busy helping with our luggage. We had four people, two large and two small, and it took three people to carry them. They even lingered after delivering them to the room (wanting a tip). The sheets in the room were extremely dirty."

"I hate to say this, as I know how important the business is to these small run villas, but unless you're absolutely desperate, don't stay here. Yes it was very cheap and the views are very nice from certain vantages, but the place is dirty and falling apart. No hot water so didn't shower during my stay. Bathroom falling apart. Window screen broken so any creatures can come through at night. Beds and bedding dirty. Towels beyond usable. Mosquito nets beyond use. Safety also a concern. Bathroom window not secure and front door - single small latch. You're given a luggage padlock to secure you're room when you leave. As mentioned, views are nice and good location to the city centre, but I would not stay here if given the choice. Id rather pay more and they upgraded this inn."

"Almost brand new hotel just out of Ella over looking tea plantations and countryside. It was fantastic. Breakfast buffet lovely and rooms were a good size. Nice to be a little out of the town and an easy tuktuk ride to town."

"Excellent hotel in the mountains with a wonderful view from the balcony. The room itself is very spacious and well-equipped. The fridge offers free drinks and beer. The breakfast was quite good. The staff met us with a tuk-tuk even though we arrived late and in the rain, as a car couldn't get through. The service was fantastic."

"Stay away from this hotel! The hotel rooms isn’t what’s pictured on booking sites, the entrance is through a forest on a mountain and through other buildings. The walls is stained, door is leaking, and the room are nasty. The entrance pathway crumbled under me so a nail went through my foot and got several scratches. It is NOT a hotel, not even a bungalow. I would rather sleep with the homeless dogs than stay there one night. We checked out 30 minutes after we checked in. At least the manager was nice enough to give a full refund and drive us to another hotel."

However, due to the surrounding chaotic development, the roads are narrow and steep, so driving there is thrilling ㅜㅜ.. Since it is still under construction, only the first floor and some facilities are open, and ingredients are not yet fully prepared.. The staff try to be friendly, but charging that price in the current state is excessive."

The owner, Priyanatha, is a very friendly and pleasant person, always ready to help and resolve any issues. We stayed in January and slept with the door ajar all night; the temperature was comfortable, and insects didn't bother us."
