This hotel has the most amazing views from any hotel we've ever stayed in, when you get to your room and step on to the balcony its breathtaking! we stayed 2 nights and ate breakfast and dinner each day, the food was good with a wide choice, both for breakfast and dinner, a good selection of wines were available, the staff were friendly and attentive but not obtrusive, the infinity pool has the same amazing view. The only one thing that was annoying was the busy road below the hotel, big trucks and busses made a lot of noise at night, but in saying that it did not spoil our stay.

Firstly we would like to thank the staff who work at this hotel and provided excellent and professional service to us at all times during our stay. Mr Shammika (manager) Natinda (reception) and Kearth (restaurant). The hotel is located in the mountainside in Ella. The views are spectacular. If you dine in the hotel restaurant you can relax while viewing the beautiful Sri Lankan countryside and the nearby waterfall. The hotel is near the railway line which leads to the Nine Arches. The breakfast menu was very varied and could be pre booked the night before for a set time and menu. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and clean , however some of the furnishings require some small upgrades.

A wonderful experience from check-in to check out. The staff were wonderful and the hotel facilities and location and views were amazing. The staff in reception were so helpful and guided us on things to do and not do. The rooms were spacious and clean. I would not hesitate in recommending this to family and friends.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Mountain Heavens Hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good with a choice of western or Sri Lankan breakfast. We tried both which were delicious and plentiful. Restaurant staff very attentive and friendly. The views from the balconies were breathtaking and on a clear day you could see for miles. The standard of the room and hotel facilities were outstanding. Thank you for a memorable stay in Ella.

We stayed here as part of our trip via Rickshaw Travel/Heritage expediciones for 2 nights. Our room was big and had a balcony with an amazing view. Staff were generally friendly and kindly offered to do an early breakfast on our last morning. Food was reasonable and lots of it!

Overall expertise was pretty good. Rooms were clean and spacious and the view from our balcony was spectacular. Service in the restaurant was superb, all cooks and waiters were friendly and polite. However, unfortunately we had a difficult time getting to and from the hotel. It is located on top of a steep hill - making it difficult for large vehicles to go up. We had a large group booking, and the hotel refused to produce a shuttle service and they were considerably unfriendly to our drivers which was disappointing compared to the service we got for the rest our our stay.

A lovely hotel with the best view from a dining room that I have ever had - and I have travelled quite a lot! Every breakfast was a real pleasure! Well appointed rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. It is outside the main part of Ella, so it’s quiet - but a short walk in to town along the railway (much quicker than the road). There are not many trains, and they are slow, so it’s safe to walk along the tracks.

Amazing place to stay in Ella! The views from the terrace and rooms are amazing, and from the infinity pool! The rooms we had were incredibly spacious (but there were different size ones). The staff were friendly and very helpful. Easy walk into town, but down a steep hill or along the railway track (or you can get a tuktuk).

A big spacious room with great views over the mountains, and a gorgeous pool area. Although the weather wasn’t on our side, we still had a great stay here. You can walk down the railway track from directly outside the hotel, to nine arches bridge via Kandy, it took us about 40 minutes. Good breakfast each morning, we also had dinner once. Friendly and welcoming staff.
