I stayed there because the hotel owner opened it to our Gate 1 guided tour during pandemic- now it seems open for booking via ******* as well. - Room: will mention later under tips. - Courtyard, garden decorations: top notch and probably the main reason to stay. Make sure that you take enough night photos while lights and decorations are on. Then during daytime enjoy "hacienda" upscale Mexican home with included western bar area, all interesting cacti and tress, birds and more. Cool guest area to hang out with antique from different countries as well (same area where wifi is available). - Restaurant is interestingly decorated with big painting and breakfast buffet is also good. Tips: VERY IMPORTANT - make sure to mention during booking whether you want to stay in a "classic (Victoria B&B) like room" or a "rustic" room. It was a shock to me as it was assigned to "rustic" room - where previous negative reviews are. Felt like you are in "maid quarter" or dungeon like a prisoner due to very unusual design including difficult to open doors with slanted metal door ledge. After a long train ride, I was in short fuse and did not take long to disappoint when I can not open bathroom easily or can not get hot water right away due to weird equipment. Later beauty of the courtyard sinks in and able to enjoy. It is an acquired taste but later found out that it was a newer guest house section (2 story cute house with beautiful trees around it) and each room has a separate heating or AC unit. I am even more impressed here with beautiful decoration than next hotel in Alamos where we all expect to see beautiful courtyard.
