From the welcome to my departure, my stay at Gringo Perdito was enjoyable. The room rate came with dinner and breakfast included and all meals were delicious. The room was comfortable and the 9:00 lights-out and noise-off practice of the hotel ensured that I had a good night's sleep before a dawn tour of Tikal. The tour and airport transfers were easy to arrange via WhatsApp with the hotel before arrival. I could not purchase Tikal tickets and they even took care of that for me with no additional charge. The location is beautiful and I will happily return even if not visiting Tikal as it is a wonderful place to sit in the sun or rain and enjoy the beautiful lake.

Hotel Gringo Perdido is a magical place that fills you with energy as you connect with nature and the animals that surround it. From the moment you arrive, you feel an indescribable peace and a deep connection with the natural environment. The service is exceptional; the staff is incredibly kind and attentive, always smiling and ready to make your experience perfect. Plus, the internet works wonderfully, which is a rare find in such remote locations, striking the ideal balance between disconnection and convenience. The food is on another level. Finding such delicious dishes in the heart of the jungle is truly impressive. Every meal becomes a feast that elevates the entire experience. The location is extremely convenient, as it is very close to Tikal National Park. This makes it the perfect base to explore one of the world's archaeological wonders without sacrificing comfort or the connection to nature. If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable place, full of magic, great service, and incredible food, Gringo Perdido is the perfect destination. A true gem in the jungle!

The Gringo Perdido has something for everyone: cheaper rooms for hippies, backpackers, and young families --- and deluxe suites for a more upscale experience. I'm sorry to say that Lola (black Labrador mascot) was always sleeping but we were enamored by Antonella (black kitty cat with pink collar) who greeted us upon arrival and she even followed us into our room. So cute, lovable and I wanted to take her home with us! Room #201 was spacious and comfortable with two queen beds and a huge bathroom. I estimate it was 500 square feet (not counting the huge deck with Jacuzzi spa). The room had Air conditioning and they provided purified water. Our room rate included dinner and breakfast. All of the meals were excellent. The staff provided excellent service. We saw howler monkeys on the premises. The only thing that gave us disappointment was having to leave. It's probably the nicest lodging we had in Guatemala (and we stayed in many deluxe places).

Gringo Perdido is a very special place. Right on the shoreline of Lago Peten Itza, it is shaded by trees and surrounded by luxuriant vegetation. The howler monkeys are awesome! So is the hotel’s “proprietor,” Lola (a black Lab). The location is perfect, almost equidistant from Yaxha, Uaxactun, Tikal and Flores. The meals are good (especially the dinners). The staff is outstanding. Stay here. The experience is memorable. Full disclosure: We’ve stayed at Gringo Perdido 3 times in a little more than a year - we’re hooked!

I came to Gringo Perdido with a group of students to explore Tikal, and to work on a project with Ixcanaan. The staff at Gringo Perdido was so kind, helpful, and available. We had an incredible time there even in the rain. We loved our meals there and plan to go back again next year! The daily coffee from the pot over the woodfire is my favorite coffee of all time!!! Thank you!!

First off, I can’t say enough about how incredible the staff is. They’re awesome people, always happy and just downright genuine people. They took care of every need with a huge smile on their faces as well as treated our dogs like royalty. The location and hotel are 10/10, absolutely gorgeous, food is amazing and the locals are just as nice as the staff. I would highly recommend Gringo Perdido to anyone vacationing and especially if you’re going to visit Tikal. Just wanted to leave a huge thank you for making our time in Guatemala the best stop we had on our drive from the US to Nicaragua.

Perdido Gringo is a lovely resort - the perfect blend of rustic and plush - I stayed for a week over Christmas. The staff was wonderful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was great. Loved the fresh juices at every meal. I opted for a King Room, as the Quadruple Rooms are closer to the main area, and didn't seem to enjoy as much privacy. The lake is gorgeous, and there's no shortage of areas to chill out and watch the sunset.

What a beautiful paradise on earth is this hotel! I was amazing by the peace and tranquility. We got welcomed by Lola and Blacky a beautiful black Labradors the facility is so clean and perfect The rooms are clean and roomy, we had everyday room service and towels were made on a different animal figurine ❤️ breakfast and dinner are included, perfect size portions and delicious. The lagoon is clam and the water is warm. We enjoyed sitting on the deck for hours enjoying the sunset and a cold beer.

NOTE: THE WATER SERVED IS NOT SAFE TO DRINK, AND YOU COULD BE INGESTING PARASITES - ASK FOR BOTTLED WATER Staff was friendly, front desk was not. Manager was awesome, the best. Food was okay, but not exceptional. View was good. WiFi frequently cut out. Rooms were decent.
