Cromwell House

on the website it was described as a guest house with reception and breakfast available it does no have a reception or any catering facilities now and is just rooms for hire a al AirbandB. And I was not expected, I had to wait on the door step for someone to come from another address to let me in and had to wait again while they got my room ready. It was OK but not what I thought I had booked for! And the batteries ran out on the TV remote and I had to replace them to make the TV work and the water didn't run away properly in the shower tray, taking too long to go away! Something must have gone wrong with your or their booking system and needs to be sorted out.

Disappointed The picture on hotel’s website must be either old or previous owners it said about breakfast included in the ‘breakfast room’ even a notice in the room about breakfast but there was NO breakfast room and NO breakfast had to go out each morning and buy our own never saw any staff after booking in which explained why they want payment on arrival did email the address on the room information and as of yet still no reply and have been home two days no reply to number I texted also which was in the hallway also The room itself was clean and comfortable bed but missing handle inside bathroom door and could not use shower as was broken and not attached to the wall at the bottom as was the toilet roll holder also broken I have pictures too show all the comments I have made

For the price was very good just a few negatives 1) I asked if i could leave my luggage before booking in time and was told yes and given code to enter.....but no one came so for security reasons i could not really leave it. 2) No word done on room between my 3 nights stay 3) long life milk was curdled ? down to very hot weather?)

A bed and breakfast with no breakfast room on site, £22 on top to get it at a local cafe and no daily resupply of room consumables. I thought 2 coffees were for my first day, it was for a 2 day stay.

Good location in the rown however surroundings were very run down. No option of breakfast on site and quite poor locally. Disabled parking outside property was used by a comercial van. Eastbourne traffic wardens took no action.

The room had not been cleaned and prepared to acceptable standards. The white pillows had some stains, and it looked like the covers had just been pulled up from when the previous occupier had left. Creased linen and stained pillows were really a put off. The adjoining shower was quite disgusting in that there was someone else's s hair on the floor from a previous stay. Parking is a bit of a nightmare, which is typical of the town, but the establishment could at least provide validated parking similarly to others in the area. The establishment is more of a halfway house than a hotel. Unfortunately, I arrived just after 18h00 when there was no one at reception who could have assisted with resolving some of the challenges, although to be they were available on the phone and were able to provide directions on how to access the property as well as where to find parking.
