When Mark met us and took us to our room he said "welcome to the Wild East" While trying to explain why he was having generator problems. But frankly between the challenges of running a resort in eastern Indonesia and the pandemic's devestation of tourism I was quite impressed with how well things were working. We had a great time relaxing in the bungalows at Sumba Adventure resort, paddle boarding and exploring the massive stretch of beach out front with no one to share it with. The beach was also perfect for my three year old to play in and we spent as much time as we could in the water. They included simple tasty meals and provided great service for the price. In fact when we got to "crowded" west Sumba we were all. Missing the quiet peace of playing at our little slice of paradise. If you are looking for an off the beaten path place to relax and watch the slow life Sumba Adventure resort is perfect!
