Following a recent stay at the Kestrel deluxe cottage at Llangaffo, Anglesey, dates of booking where 29th November until the 1st December, our stay at the cottage was not as we expected due to the issues that we encountered. Upon our arrival we went straight to check on the hot tub, to check that it was at temperature and ready to use, we were disappointed to find it three quarters full, cold and also dirty, with small black pieces at the bottom, understandably disappointed to discover this as prior to our stay we had contacted you via Air B and B to specifically ask about the hot tub, having seen a review from a previous guest saying about it not working. We were informed by yourself that the hot tub part would be arriving and it would be fixed prior to our stay We contacted you to discuss the issues, something that was challenging as two of the contact numbers listed at the property did not work. We were informed that the site manager was not available to come and fix the problem. We were advised that the site manager could not attend until 9 o’clock the next morning, when they did not arrive at the specified time and were over 45 minutes late, I called you again you advised that the cleaner had let you down and would be sacked, this felt as if you were just trying to pacify us saying what we wanted to hear, when in fact was not the case. The individual that did attend on the morning of Saturday 30th November identified himself as the cleaner and he collected the items from the garage to clean the hot tub, again can you advise why the site manager was not available to do this on the day of our arrival, given that your welcome information states that it is a 24 hour manned site We feel miss lead as we were not informed that once it had been cleaned it would take approximately 10 hours to heat, and as you were aware we only had the property booked for two nights. Therefore if not being cleaned until the following morning meant we would have lost a further day of using it, and best would not have been able to use it until 7 o’clock Saturday evening. Unfortunately we were not able to use the hot tub at any point during our stay due to it not coming to temperature, it did not go above 28 degrees during our entire stay, We did not contact you again on the Saturday afternoon to advise you of this as no benefit with check out at 10 o’clock the next morning. We were informed by the gentleman who identified that he had not cleaned it as he had not been informed it was repaired, this has left us questioning if it had even been repaired prior to our stays. This was not the case, as the advertised hot tub was not available during our stay, and remained unavailable during our stay, despite us raising the issue straight away and providing you with the opportunity to resolve the problem.
