I want to start by saying the night staff were fantastic, particularly Tania, who went above and beyond when I discovered what appeared to be a large blood stain on the bedding in the room I was initially given (418). I was shown several alternative rooms and found questionable staining on a number of mattresses, including the one in room 502. I have never experienced this in a hotel before, and I found it appalling. Had I known the condition of the mattresses beforehand, I would have seriously considered staying elsewhere. See photos.
Assuming you are given a better room than I was, the location was excellent, with restaurants, a supermarket, public transport and the city centre all within easy walking distance. The in-room fridge and AC worked well. Water, tea and coffee were provided. Daily housekeeping was adequate, with towels replaced and bins emptied. Luggage storage is also available. Facilities are a bit tired and wear and tear is visible. One thing worth noting is that the bathroom has a frosted glass door with horizontal clear-glass stripes, which may not suit everyone, particularly those travelling with friends or colleagues.
Unfortunately, the mattress issue significantly affected what would otherwise have been a reasonably positive stay but based on my experience I cannot recommend this hotel.
