This is a clean, modern hotel with a minimalist, 2010s aesthetic. The rooms are of decent size but the single bed for a third occupant is suitable only for a child, and is uncomfortable. The bar/restaurant is good and stocked an excellent local beer, La Triple Thiriez. The hotel has two lifts. They have a rated capacity of eight persons but you wouldn’t want to step into one if there were already three people inside. I don’t know if the hotel has service lifts, and they were out of order, but I found myself waiting an unacceptable length of time for lifts because a lift would appear and there was no space for me and my luggage because the lift was being used by housekeeping. It was an unseasonably hot day but the nighttime temperature was low. Despite this, the room was uncomfortably hot. I asked at reception about the aircon, but the receptionist told me that because the outside air temperature was low, the aircon wouldn’t work. The window opens fractionally, so gave some relief. We had driven hundreds of kilometres with our special needs son before arriving at the hotel and didn’t know where to park. My wife checked in, on my behalf, asked about parking and came back to the car in tears. The receptionist told her she had an angry face, an attitude, and didn’t want to listen to him. No. She was tired and wanted to know where to park. In summary, a decent, clean hotel with good facilities but poor lifts, poor climate control and a member of staff who is not cut out for a job in hospitality. Fortunately, the other members of staff were excellent and accommodating, including the housekeeping staff who apologised about their trolleys making the lifts unusable. I wouldn’t stay here again, because I don’t ever want to see that rude receptionist’s face again. But if you are young, unstressed, don’t need to move between floors in a hurry, and can sleep in a sauna, you may enjoy it.

Stayed here for one night. Bastian checked us in. Very courteous and very helpful. Underground parking was very secure. The rooms are very modern. Bar had a nice relaxing atmosphere. From the hotel it’s a nice walk to the beach Would use again if in the area

Very nice hotel right on the marina. Walking distance to stroll through town or to the Dunkirk museum. Best hotel breakfast with different cheeses, good assortment of hearty proteins and pastries!! Nice staff and clean rooms. We would return
