Situated right next to st claire beach.walking distance to second beach and short drive to tunnel beach.Many restaurants around, good if you self drive. There's no other amenties at the hotel and they are strict about their check in time. As it has only 4~5 stories high, you can look right into the room from the ground floor/street level. If you dont mind the lack of privacy, ultimately the view is great!

In the scenic area, you need to click on the iron gate when checking in, otherwise you will not be able to enter the scenic area. You can order dinner in the castle. It seems to be 90 New Zealand dollars per person. The stable room where I live is in the attic on the second floor. There is enough space to store two boxes. Breakfast is very good. It is English breakfast with buffet + set menu. We didn’t finish the meal, so we took it away and went to Sandfly Bay for Chinese food. Get up early and visit the gardens and castle. Staying here is equivalent to visiting the castle for free. It smells great.

The first person who likes it is the front desk, who gave a very warm introduction. The reserved room is gone and the parking fee is waived. There are two large supermarkets around the hotel, New World and Countdown. The room is very clean, quiet and comfortable. Highly recommended. It’s also very close to the University of Otago.
