The Address Connolly

Knowing The Address from Dubai, I knew I could expect quality. Located on a main road across Connolly station, the train noises were only noticeable on the outside. As we arrived very early we accepted the first available room after an hours wait in the beer garden. We don’t normally accept twin rooms but as I was unwell we took it. A clean, classy, modern room, in comparison to which the bathroom with a bath looked a bit outdated. But the room had our fave rooibos tea! The hotel has ample F&B choices: a bar, cafe, restaurant and a ‘beer garden’ - a cute one too with useful heaters on the wall. Service in these areas however lack protocol, which we always seek in hospitality. The gym situated at the end of the premises is a public one, which means there’s non-hotel resident traffic through the corridors. It took us a moment to realise and a confirmation from the concierge that the hotel also houses ‘temporary residents’ evident from my fellow smokers in the beer garden and the children in their school uniforms having their breakfasts in one of the bar areas. We didn’t expect this from The Address chain. It reflects the reality Ireland is coping with. Excellent hotel, staff extremely nice and can’t do enough for you, rooms are nice and modern and the breakfast was superb !! Would definitely stay again.
