Hotel Bella Vista

Nice hotel, which was spotlessly clean, with good facilities.Good choice for breakfast and dinner. Stuff is kind and friendly. Fantastic beach near the hotel, nice heated pool in wellness zone we really enjoyed our stay here, surely will do it again!

I was on a eight day holiday with Newmarket holidays to Dubrovnik, Montenegro & the Dalmatian coast, staying for three nights at the hotel Bella Vista, the hotel is in the small town of Drvenik set in a lovely location only a short stroll to a pebble beach, the season had not yet started when we stayed but you could imagine it would be perfect when all the amenities and huts selling food and drinks were open. We were the only group staying at the hotel, I had a lovely spacious room with comfortable beds and balcony, bathroom was clean with shower, everything I needed for my stay, but no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful and excellent housekeeping throughout the hotel, breakfast and evening meal was buffet style the food was delicious with plenty to choose from, we were allocated tables in the corner of the restaurant sometimes this was awkward to get in and out carrying food as the chairs were large and heavy and took up a lot of room. Guide Evan looked after us on this trip along with our various drivers we had lots of interesting information given to us throughout and from this hotel we visited Split, Trogir, Krka National Park, the local guides that took us around gave us lots of information and free time was just right to look around the areas yourself perfect itinerary throughout the tours. We also had the pleasure of Tom and Justin the film crew who came along each day to video our holiday experience for Newmarket holidays. I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday to Croatia and as a solo traveller the hotel accommodation and itinerary and guides were excellent, good crowd on the coach fellow travellers which made the holiday extra special, would definitely recommend Newmarket holidays.

Stayed just for two nights, nice hotel, the room was comfortable. Location is not ideal, not much to do in the area. It is let down by the food on offer, and the very cramped restaurant. I was travelling with a large group, we were allocated our tables, which were so close together it was almost impossible to get between them. Choice of food was poor, and not hot, when trays became empty there was no attempt to replace them. Staff were unfriendly and one member physically pushed a female guest out of his way as he came from the kitchen. To deserve a four star rating, the dining experience has to be improved. I would not want to stay for longer, and would not recommend for a main holiday.

Hotel bella vista is a subpar hotel. 1. The rooms: not high quality. Old furniture, and old style. Keep in mind that we got the non renovated room. There are rooms that are of much higher quality, but it seems that the hotel provides the rooms to the guests. We didn't have a choice. 2. The staff: the hotel staff is unexperienced and they run the hotel with a iron fist. If you do anything wrong according to their rules they will confront you in front of everyone. Situation nr. 1: they pulled a guest in the reception back to the breakfast area because he took a bread piece and was ordered to return it. (They would have thrown it anyway). Situation nr 2: while we were about the say our goodbye to our family members the receptionist almost ran to us to say that we have to check out of the room and pay the touris tax of 140 kn. Like we were going to bail on the 140kn when we already paid over 10000kn for the stay. When I confronted the receptionist about his rudeness, his answer was we have to be careful. He didn't apologize. He even charged me for broken key card wich I didn't break. There were several other situations. The only good staff members were the cleaning crew. The rooms were always super clean. One cleaning lady helpt us to find the hospital when the reception had problems. 3. The breakfast: Slim to non choices. The eggs were the one thing that was good. Everything else seemed old that they stored from day to day. This is at best a 2 star hotel.
