A lovely hotel, staff were helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked and very nice. We would absolutely stay at Highfield House again.

What a stunning venue our daughter and groom to be chose for their winter wedding especially as the decorations enhanced by the many chandeliers made it warming and very atmospheric. There were so many opportunities to take memorable photographs and the happy couple were even lucky enough to have some taken in the garden and in the snow. Lindsey, the owner of the establishment was excellent and on hand all day to ensure that everything went according to plan. She even advised the bride where to hold her bouquet before entering the ceremony room. The venue was very welcoming on our arrival with friendly and attentive staff. They couldn’t do more for us when setting up (and clearing up) the ceremony and dining rooms. The food was plentiful and beautifully presented. We all had a fabulous time and will remember this day for the rest of our lives.

We had a fantastic stay, the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The hotel decor is beautiful and is set in stunning grounds. The little extras such as sweets available were a nice touch. It was great being able to sit in the lounge area and relax with a book, I wish we could have stayed for longer. I will definitely book again.

Perfect hotel, food very good and the decor was truly beautiful. Very clean all round and our bedroom was so comfortable and quite breathtaking. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful and want to return very soon. Small downside was the temperature which was very warm!! But other than that pretty much perfect……Thankyou

We enjoyed a wonderful short break in this gorgeous hotel. We’ve never stayed anywhere as beautiful. The hotel is a feast for the eyes, with design features everywhere you look. The attention to detail is amazing. We experienced a personal approach to service and felt very spoiled indeed. Special thanks to Phyllis for ensuring that our stay was perfect.

Visited The Highfield for Sunday lunch as part of a cycle trip from London to Newcastle. The staff were so welcoming and helpful with our bikes and the house is simply delightful. Based on some of the mixed reviews I knew that I would like the house but was prepared for a lacklustre lunch. I could not have been more wrong. The food was beautifully presented and ranks as one of the most delicious meals of my life. I am not sure that I have ever tasted better seared scallops, they were so fresh and skilfully sear to a thin crisp. The local roast beef was so tender, moist and full of flavour. This is a world class standard of cuisine and the staff were so attentive and friendly throughout. Honestly, five stars is simply not enough.

Very welcoming on our arrival. Shown to our room which was luxurious. Had a meal in the restaurant which without doubt was way above our expectations. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. Delighted with our visit to the Highfield Hotel in Driffield where we dined at the Mill and Vine Restaurant. Jemma on reception was so welcoming and gave us a private tour of the hotel and reception rooms, which are truly amazing. In the beautifully appointed dining room we enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch. Fergus our waiter was extremely polite and took great care to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. It was my birthday and I couldn't have wished for a better day. Thanks to everyone concerned at the hotel and restaurant.
