Driftwood

We really enjoyed our stay here. 2A and 2 teenage boys. Great view from the cottage. Our hosts were very welcoming and had a welcome gift for us to help celebrate New Year’s Eve. Our cottage had lots of added extras that most hotel rooms don’t provide (slippers, binoculars, bbq, shampoo, conditioner etc). Easy driving distance to Hastings Caves, cockle creek and some lovely seaside towns.

Rooms are disgusting and service is non existent. Spend your money elseware as this is not a place you want to subject yourself to. I made a booking that was not honoured by the new owners. New owners are rude, stuck up main landers with an ambition to only make money and scam Tasmanians and tourists alike. Be careful as they will get more and more money from you at any chance. Room pics attached are what I would expect from a ran down motor hotel. Old, mouldy, warn and not clean. Soap leaks all over the bench and floor causing a slip/fall incident. Screws sticking out from walls, not working lights, mould everywhere. Tiny TV not viewable or controlable from bed or couch (blocked by sound bar that doesn't work) combined with a tiny and uncomfortable lounge setup means you can't relax at night. No heat pump or good heating/cooling options. Not self contained as fridge full of only bar items you can not move or get charged for to put your own food in. Parking is dangerous and hard to get in and out while they park their Jeep and Mercades on easier ground. Don't ruin your holiday by staying here and receiving harassing messages like I did.

This cottage a studio was well stocked with all crockery and utensils the fridge had no freezer door and froze food all up the underfloor heating was a god send keeping it nice and warm the bed was lovely and comfortable .The only down side of this cottage was the outside steps and garden were old and a bit wobbly garden and carpark needed a good mow and clean up .The laundry washing machine needed filter cleaning after previous people had left it dirty the dryer was put up to high on the wall on top of washing machine so had to watch didnt bump head also had to climb a step ladder to reach controls of dryer, The reception was not manned and went you wanted something you had to ring on phone owner had sold this property so really didnt care much we felt

Lovely self contained cottages a stones throw from the water. Great view, nice cabin, simply lovely couple running the show, nothing was too much trouble. Close to a lot of points of interest on the southern edge. Highly recommend for couples.

The waterfront studio cottage had amazing views of the bay. We had a warm welcome on arrival and the cottage is so nice and warmly set up - clean, warm, and has all the nice touches that really make a difference- a fully equipped kitchen with all the little extra things like glad wrap and foil, body wash and shampoo, comfy bed, coffee machine and pods and a well-equipped guest laundry. Definitely recommended.

Superb location overlooking the bay, very quiet and clean, all necessary amenities available. Conveniently located when exploring south of Hobart: Hastings caves, hiking tracks in close by mountains or along the ocean. I highly recommend. Laurent
