A Beautiful house hotel set in the beautiful surrounds of Connemara. Stayed here in a garden room. Very spacious and comfortable. The food for dinner menu was amazing. The house was slightly cold in places but understandable given the age of the building.

Lovely hotel - a true country guest house with a warm welcome, comfortable rooms, lovely staff and excellent food. The location is beautiful with lots of walks, cycles, swimming spots and places to visit nearby. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely stay - the hotel is a time warp and initially appears a bit tired and tatty but as long as you do not expect out and out luxury then this can be a wonderful place to do very little. The staff were excellent and we enjoyed two nights in the conservatory dining room with great food. The breakfasts were excellent as well. We had an upstairs suite - spacious with a decent bed but the bathroom was functional at best. Wifi was fine (just about the only thing modern about this hotel). The gardens were lovely if you like a semi-wild look (to be fair they would probably be better in the late spring/summer). There were a couple of issues regarding the hotel website that needs updating. The menu is limited and does not have the range suggested by the website. The term "a la carte" does not mean a separate menu but just a different way to order/pay. There is no live lobster tank as stated on the website and the suggested wine list is more or less non-existent although we did find some decent stuff. That apart, a lovely place for a midweek two night stay

My husband and I recently had a wonderful stay at Cashel House Hotel. The hotel gardens are simply beautiful and quite extensive. We had a very spacious and comfortable room. The food (both dinner and breakfast) was delicious, and service was excellent. The hotel also has a charming bar area. It was a great place to stay while exploring Connemara.

Beautiful location with lovely historical atmosphere. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staff are friendly and extremely welcoming. Restaurant serves delicious food, especially the soups, and the bar has relaxing lounge area. The bartender, Gee (sp?), was exceptional!

Absolutely beautiful! Such a very very well kept hotel and the gardens are sublime! The staff were extremely helpful and attentive at all times. The food was first class and the attention to detail on the dressing of the tables was very impressive!

We were disappointed with both the room and the dinner. The room in an old country house was furnished with cheap MDF-type furniture. We selected a ground floor garden suite room, assuming it would have garden access, but it doesn’t. The gardens are a big attraction - but they’re not well maintained. The dinner was also disappointing. The cod dish didn’t taste fresh, and was very expensive for what we got.However, the ladies serving us were very pleasant and efficient., and the conservatory in which it was served was lovely and full of light. These were the only positives for me. Overall: disappointing and overpriced

Fabulous old house set in beautiful grounds. The service was a bit lax but the food from start to finish was amazing. Would love to return over the winter - with large fires I would say it would be very inviting. The only issue is there isn’t much in the general locality other than the hotel.

Wow ! What can I say. We had the most fabulous stay. The staff were exemplary, professional & friendly - from check in, to bar, to dinner - nothing was too much bother. The suite we had was fabulous & very comfortable. The service and food were first class. Lovely variety on the dinner menu. Very reasonably priced for A LaCarte (though we had booked B & B plus dinner). The attention from the manager checking if everything was ok & asking if we required more of anything was a first for us ! Then to top it all they arrived at our table with a fresh made cake knowing we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. We were truly blown away. Breakfast has a great selection of continental fare & the cooked breakfast was delicious. We loved the old world charm of silver service & china. The house is beautiful and they definitely know how to make guests feel special. A wonderful stay (unfortunately not a longer one) and we will definitely return. It’s a 5 star experience.
