I messed up my booking with the wrong date of arrival but was given excellent service by Vaughan in reception, and the booking team by phone who recovered the situation at a reasonable extra cost. Basic accommodation but had everything I needed. I would say good value for money.

The only drawback was the noise coming from the take-away shop below with the staff going in and out the bin area which was right below our room.

Booked the hotel at a good price. Space and lighting of the room were good. Bedding sheets felt sticky and I had to request a fresh set and did the bed myself. Additionally, there is no air con in the room. It is good that the window can be opened and a fan was provided. However, it attracted a lot of bugs and the dust was flying around when you switched on the fan.

There's a Subway, a Pizza restaurant next door, and a Beefeater 5 minutes away. After that you'll need a car or taxi to get into Doncaster. Great for the football though.

Excellent stay. Lady on reception very pleasant and helpful. Room clean plus excellent view of the lake. Shops nearby. Plenty of fast food places to choose from. Avoid Beefeater nearby for food. Food awful, service terrible. Overpriced. Most tables are filthy. This was the only bad experience we had during our weekend stay. Will return.

All expirence was very good, amazing views on Lakeside lake, great for walking after stressful meetings at work. Staff very friendly and helpful specially receptionist Vayghon

No twin rooms. So was charged for a family room, which was really just a double with two uncomfortable camp beds squeezed in. Rooms really hot. Workmen drilling inside hotel at 8am.

Good place for inexpensive night away when visiting Sheffield the next day. Clean well maintained, but very warm. Made use of a damp towel to cool us down! Lovely lake to look at out of the window!
