I'm not sure who was ruder, the owner or the waitress! As facilities, it's not bad. But without being anything special. Obviously if I wanted luxury I wouldn't go there. However, I wanted to be polite. What most people lack. However, when you have the honor of working in the tourism industry, then politeness is required. Here are some tips to make it better. After all, this is the reason for a review. Well, when you talk to the customer you don't chew gum like a goat. When you talk to the customer, you don't talk to him while you have already left with your back turned. I have my wife for this. When the customer wants to eat, let him eat. If the food is going to be late then inform him to go somewhere else in case he is hungry and doesn't have time. We don't all travel for fun. But also for work. When your customer asks you polite to bring him the food he ordered from you, an hour and a half ago, I would advise you to tell him that it will be a little late. Do not tell him that he will be served when most of the people come. What do I care about the other costumers of your hotel when and if they will come? When lunch opens at 12.00 then it should be 12.00. it cannot be 13.00. The rudeness of the owner is unprecedented. The rudeness of the short waitress with myopic glasses is unprecedented also. Both are unacceptable. Shame about Tobbiaco. One last thing. You HAVE to change the towels every day! We stayed 4 nights and the towels were never changed!!!!!!!!!

The hotel having several qualities: sympathy of Maria (hotel owner?) and the SPA guy; hearty breakfast; great location; easy parking; the view from the balcony. However me and my son went through an unpleasant situation that negatively impacted our impressions. We were very anxious about the possibility of enjoying the swimming pool, but due to it was inside the hotel's SPA, some aspects prevented us from enjoying it: operating up to 7 pm; we were supposed to be silent and it was not allowed to take big dives; the worst: the water was extremely cold (in an indoor pool!!). Obviously, we didn't get inside and went back to the room disappointed. I looked for an alternative activity and found out from the description on the hotel's website that bikes were offered to guests. We went down to the reception, that was empty. There was only a dog, which belonged to a lady (maybe Maria's mother or mother-in-law). Innocently, my son went to pet him, as he was used to doing with other pets we met on our long trip. The dog let out a loud and angry bark and immediately appeared the old lady, that extremely dry and rude, scolded us for touching the dog. We apologize, but she didn't make the slightest point of being understanding or kind. An employee appeared and, in English, I asked about the bikes. Speaking Italian, the lady asked the clerk what we wanted and he talked about the bikes. I didn't quite understand what she said, but it was something like “say we don't have them”. I still replied, referring to the description of the hotel's website, but he reinforced that it didn’t. Disappointed with the pool issue and now with the bikes, I thanked them and headed towards the street, to cool my head. My son, howerver, asked us to go back to the room. When we head for the elevator the lady called me and in an inquisitive tone asked me if we were guests. I replied to her shaking the room key. Note: The lady was near the reception when we arrived with our luggages. I’d never been through such an embarrassing situation and it ruined my day. I felt offended as a guest and as a foreigner, for not being fluente in Italian or German. The next day we were greeted by the kind Maria, but we got a disaproving look from the lady, head to toe. Lady: Congratulations on the hotel you built, probably with a lot of effort and dedication. Be aware, however, that it is foreigners like me who contribute to keeping your hotel running. For my part, I guarantee that I will never return. Greetings to Mary! In time: reading the hotel reviews on Google I realized that this lady's pet peeve is about children. Well, since that's the problem, better to put in the description that the hotel is for adults only, it would save many guests the stress!

We Stayed for four nights, three of which included dinner, which was a bonus, we were expecting ‘normal’ hotel fare, but they have an excellent chef. At the time of writing this, and the food was very modern and innovative, well presented, and excellent value, we could not fault the restaurant or the owner, she was always welcoming and chirpy, and even took us to the railway station with our luggage. Comfortable hotel, although we did not use the pool and spa area it appears very good.

It is a pity that despite this hotel having several qualities, some unpleasant situations weighed negatively in our evaluation. The strengths were: - the extreme kindness and sympathy of Maria (I believe she is the owner of the hotel) - the understanding and kindness of the employee who takes care of the SPA - the hearty breakfast, which compared to other hotels we stayed at, was undoubtedly the best - the comfort of the room, including the view from the balcony - the great location and the availability of easy parking near the hotel entrance However.... as I said at the beginning, a very unpleasant situation made our stay lose its shine. What has happened: My 11-year-old son and I did a tour of almost a month around Italy. We passed by numerous hotels, few with a swimming pool. My son was very anxious about the possibility of enjoying the pool at this hotel and I even canceled some tours in the city precisely to have more time for him to enjoy this benefit. We arrived at the hotel around 4pm and were told that the pool closed at 7pm. Okay, a little disappointing but we would still have 3 hours to enjoy it. When we arrived at the SPA, we realized that children are not welcome. We were told not to make any noise and to get into the pool without big dives. Okay, kind of discouraging for a kid, but we understand the situation. When we put our foot in the pool, however, what was our disappointment when we felt extremely cold water! In an indoor pool! A due passi dalla piazza di Dobbiaco. Hotel di costruzione non recentissima ma le camere sono spaziose e molto pulite. Buona la colazione a buffet con bevande servite e non prese dalle macchinette come purtroppo sempre più spesso succede. Noi abbiamo optato per la mezza pensione e la cena è sempre ricca e varia con anche un buon buffet di verdure. È presente anche una piscina con spa ma purtroppo siamo rimasti pochi giorni e non ne abbiamo usufruito. Ma il punto forte dell’hotel è la gentilezza e disponibilità della proprietaria e di tutto il personale. Ci siamo veramente sentiti a casa e se sceglieremo ancora Dobbiaco come meta per le nostre vacanze, sicuramente torneremo in questo hotel

L’hotel si trova praticamente nel centro di Dobbiaco, ma vicino anche alle piste. Di fronte alla struttura c’è la fermata dell’autobus che ti porta comodamente al lago di Braies anche in meno tempo di quello che si impiegherebbe in auto e in totale sicurezza. Inoltre, l’hotel offre gratuitamente il pass valido una settimana per viaggiare con i mezzi pubblici verso tutto il comprensorio: bravi. Prima di accedere, ho chiesto di farmi trovare in camere una bottiglia di vino essendo il compleanno della mia ragazza ed è stato così, fornendomi anche una splendida sistemazione vista montagne. La colazione è varia, abbondante e con la possibilità di prendere bevande calde preparate al momento. Il parcheggio è comodissimo e il personale squisito. Non vedo l’ora di tornarci.

Avremmo dovuto partecipare alla gara podistica notturna di Dobbiaco (Winter Night Run), e soggiornare presso l'Hotel Tschurtschenthaler, che ha trasformato la nostra gioia in un completo disastro. Niente gara, niente soggiorno, tanta amarezza e paura. Sin dal momento del nostro arrivo verso mezzogiorno, abbiamo avvertito una totale mancanza di cortesia e disponibilità da parte della responsabile, rendendo immediatamente chiaro che non saremmo stati i benvenuti, la quale ci comunica che (nonostante la nostra prenotazione effettuata qualche mese prima del soggiorno) ha deciso di assegnare la nostra camera ad altri clienti, perciò ci trasferisce a Villa Bassa, a circa 2 km dalla struttura, in appartamento (senza menzionare costi e servizi inclusi/esclusi e senza tenere conto della difficoltà di dover usare l’auto ogni volta per arrivare in centro). Noi ci opponiamo, e questa è la genesi del disastro. Ci manda via in malo modo, facendoci tornare più tardi, all’orario di check-in. Da quel momento l'atteggiamento della responsabile è diventato estremamente maleducato, per niente professionale ed a tratti anche molto violento, ma nonostante questo ci assegna la camera. Appena preso possesso della stanza, ci siamo accorti che il letto di nostra figlia non era stato ancora preparato. Lo abbiamo subito fatto presente alla responsabile che è entrata in camera come una furia con le lenzuola e cuscini ed ha iniziato ad inveire ed urlare spaventando mia moglie e mia figlia, che è stata spintonata dalla responsabile che non smettendo di urlare anche in tedesco doveva preparare il letto. A questo punto, visto il livello di degenerazione raggiunto ho fatto presente alla responsabile che non avevo più intenzione di rimanere dove ero tutt’altro che ben accetto e che iniziavo ad avere paura, ma lei mi ha minacciato sempre urlando di farmi pagare la stanza se ce ne fossimo andati. Mi sono visto costretto a telefonare ai Carabinieri che sono immediatamente intervenuti e che sono riusciti a mediare la difficile situazione e quindi la responsabile e la titolare (la madre della responsabile) ci hanno lasciato andare senza dover pagare per un servizio non utilizzato. Non solo la nostra vacanza è stata rovinata dal inverosimilmente pessimo servizio e dall'atteggiamento al di fuori di ogni limite della responsabile della struttura, ma abbiamo anche subito un danno biologico a causa dello stress e della frustrazione causati da questa esperienza surreale, e non escludiamo di rivalerci legalmente nei confronti della struttura. Note finali: la struttura è datata ma in posizione centrale, motivo della nostra scelta. La camera sembrava ristrutturata di recente e dotata dei confort minimi necessari, pur con qualche difetto (bagno sporco, asciugamani mancanti e carta igienica usata). Nel complesso appena sufficiente.

Peccato che la settimana di bel tempo non ci ha permesso di sfruttare la spa. L hotel comunque è discreto, camere abbastanza accoglienti, proprietari e personale molto gentili. Qualche pecca nella la colazione ed il buffet che non venivano reintegrati all occorrenza. Parcheggio libero ma con posti insufficienti quando l hotel è al completo Comunque abbastanza soddisfatti.
