18 members of our trekking club from Ireland stayed here, and we were treated very well throughout our stay. The food - breakfast and dinner - was excellent, and the downstairs pool and sauna just right after a tough day in the hills. Lovely staff, comfy rooms, great service and a cosy bar. Lovely hotel, enjoyed by all of our group.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the start and end of our hike in the Dolomites. During our first stay we had a lovely room and had dinner shortly after arriving. The dinner was fantastic and included a buffet of breads, meats and cheeses followed by 3 courses. Marsei, the inn keeper, was wonderful and helped us with our upcoming hike. Breakfast was also delicious, with a buffet including meats, cheeses, yogurt, pastries, fruits, breads, eggs, coffee, and juices. The stay included local transit tickets for the bus and trains, a promotion running this summer, and made it possible for us travel between Cortina d’Ampezzo, Dobbiaco, Fortezza, and Bolzano for free. The proprietor of the establishment, Maralise, was so kind and helpful. She gave us garbage bags to cover our hiking backpacks when we discovered that the weather was gonna be rainy. On our second stay, she fit us in for dinner even though we didn’t have dinner included. Our second stay was in a gorgeous room with a fantastic view of the mountains.

I'm not sure who was ruder, the owner or the waitress! As facilities, it's not bad. But without being anything special. Obviously if I wanted luxury I wouldn't go there. However, I wanted to be polite. What most people lack. However, when you have the honor of working in the tourism industry, then politeness is required. Here are some tips to make it better. After all, this is the reason for a review. Well, when you talk to the customer you don't chew gum like a goat. When you talk to the customer, you don't talk to him while you have already left with your back turned. I have my wife for this. When the customer wants to eat, let him eat. If the food is going to be late then inform him to go somewhere else in case he is hungry and doesn't have time. We don't all travel for fun. But also for work. When your customer asks you polite to bring him the food he ordered from you, an hour and a half ago, I would advise you to tell him that it will be a little late. Do not tell him that he will be served when most of the people come. What do I care about the other costumers of your hotel when and if they will come? When lunch opens at 12.00 then it should be 12.00. it cannot be 13.00. The rudeness of the owner is unprecedented. The rudeness of the short waitress with myopic glasses is unprecedented also. Both are unacceptable. Shame about Tobbiaco. One last thing. You HAVE to change the towels every day! We stayed 4 nights and the towels were never changed!!!!!!!!!

The hotel having several qualities: sympathy of Maria (hotel owner?) and the SPA guy; hearty breakfast; great location; easy parking; the view from the balcony. However me and my son went through an unpleasant situation that negatively impacted our impressions. We were very anxious about the possibility of enjoying the swimming pool, but due to it was inside the hotel's SPA, some aspects prevented us from enjoying it: operating up to 7 pm; we were supposed to be silent and it was not allowed to take big dives; the worst: the water was extremely cold (in an indoor pool!!). Obviously, we didn't get inside and went back to the room disappointed. I looked for an alternative activity and found out from the description on the hotel's website that bikes were offered to guests. We went down to the reception, that was empty. There was only a dog, which belonged to a lady (maybe Maria's mother or mother-in-law). Innocently, my son went to pet him, as he was used to doing with other pets we met on our long trip. The dog let out a loud and angry bark and immediately appeared the old lady, that extremely dry and rude, scolded us for touching the dog. We apologize, but she didn't make the slightest point of being understanding or kind. An employee appeared and, in English, I asked about the bikes. Speaking Italian, the lady asked the clerk what we wanted and he talked about the bikes. I didn't quite understand what she said, but it was something like “say we don't have them”. I still replied, referring to the description of the hotel's website, but he reinforced that it didn’t. Disappointed with the pool issue and now with the bikes, I thanked them and headed towards the street, to cool my head. My son, howerver, asked us to go back to the room. When we head for the elevator the lady called me and in an inquisitive tone asked me if we were guests. I replied to her shaking the room key. Note: The lady was near the reception when we arrived with our luggages. I’d never been through such an embarrassing situation and it ruined my day. I felt offended as a guest and as a foreigner, for not being fluente in Italian or German. The next day we were greeted by the kind Maria, but we got a disaproving look from the lady, head to toe. Lady: Congratulations on the hotel you built, probably with a lot of effort and dedication. Be aware, however, that it is foreigners like me who contribute to keeping your hotel running. For my part, I guarantee that I will never return. Greetings to Mary! In time: reading the hotel reviews on Google I realized that this lady's pet peeve is about children. Well, since that's the problem, better to put in the description that the hotel is for adults only, it would save many guests the stress!

We Stayed for four nights, three of which included dinner, which was a bonus, we were expecting ‘normal’ hotel fare, but they have an excellent chef. At the time of writing this, and the food was very modern and innovative, well presented, and excellent value, we could not fault the restaurant or the owner, she was always welcoming and chirpy, and even took us to the railway station with our luggage. Comfortable hotel, although we did not use the pool and spa area it appears very good.

Parto dal presupposto che la sig.ra Marlies. da veramente il massimo, dalla reception al servire la cena... ma c'è un problema di fondo. l'hotel avrebbe grande potenziale, come si vede dalla nuovissima e bellissima spa (a parte la zona piscina, ancora da ristrutturare), ma il problema grosso penso sia la signora anziana che supervisiona tutto, osserva i clienti a cena da un angolo della sala ( inquietante....) ed è pronta a sgridare chiunque si avvicini al piccolo cane per una carezza (lasciatelo in una stanza se non deve essere sfiorato da nessuno in un hotel...). Ho visto con i miei occhi dire ad una bambina appena arrivata : "in piscina solo fino alle 17, sei già fortunata a poterci entrare...". Ovviamente si è messa a piangere, ma se fossi stato nei genitori non sarebbe finita così a cuor leggero. Sui pianerottoli accanto all'ascensore ci sono inquietanti altarini di famiglia con ricordi di defunti.... ecco, di pessimo gusto in un hotel. Per non parlare del disimpegno con la porta nr. 4.... di cui allego foto.... grande potenziale, ma il problema penso abbiate capito chi sia....

Das Hotel können wir eher als eine Mittelklasse-Pension aus den 70er Jahren bezeichnen, wo die Zeit leider stehen geblieben ist. Die Zimmer sind winzig, wenn zwei Erwachsene mit jeweils einem Koffer dort einziehen müssen. Im Winter können wir von dem Balkon auch keinen Gebrauch machen. Darüber hinaus ist das Haus sehr hellhörig und die Reinigungskräfte sind schon ab 8:30 Uhr laut auf den Fluren. Das Frühstück ist eher durchschnittlich, aber in Ordnung.

Ho contattato questo hotel a Maggio (via email) per gestire una prenotazione per una vacanza di una settimana con mio marito e la nostra bimba di 6 mesi (prenotazione confermata via email). Li ho ricontattati ad Agosto per aggiungere una camera dei miei genitori sempre via email, (non avevo ricevuto risposta) perciò li ho contattati telefonicamente e avevano confermato entrambe le camere a mio nome. Arrivata sabato 11/09 con grande stupore NON avevano la mia prenotazione e nemmeno quella dei miei!!! Siamo stati accolti in malo modo e soprattutto non volevano ammettere subito il loro errore (hanno trovato molte scuse!). La signora della reception poi ci ha trovato un hotel per tutta alla settimana e alla fine ha ammesso il suo errore. Ci siamo recati nell’altro hotel che ci ha ospitati e scopriamo che la bimba di 6 mesi pagava il 20% della quota di noi adulti. Premetto che avevo scelto questo hotel in quanto la bimba di 5 mesi era gratuita! Il giorno seguente ci siamo recati in questo hotel per richiedere almeno la quota del soggiorno della bimba come “risarcimento” che ci è stato poi concesso. L’errore di prenotazione ci può stare (errare è umano), ma ci siamo sentiti trascurati e “buttati” nell’altro hotel senza tanti problemi, quando avrebbero potuto magari ri-accoglierci a metà settimana (all’ufficio del turismo risultavano liberi). Avrebbero sicuramente riguadagnato punti.

Prenoto a settembre,tramite il loro sito,una camera per due con un bambino di due anni. Pago la caparra e mi mandano la comunicazione di conferma della prenotazione. Per caso leggo le recensioni il giorno prima di andare in hotel e vedo su booking che non accettano bambini sotto i 6 anni. Mi risponde la titolare che mi dice che sicuramente non posso andare con un bambino perché non hanno neanche i lettini per accogliermi e sicuramente ho sbagliato io . Chiamo di nuovo facendo presente che ho la conferma vita mail in cui è indicato che abbiamo un bambino e mi risponde la figlia dicendo che aveva accettato la mia prenotazione perché facevamo solo la colazione e non la cena perché i bambini fanno casino. Inutile dire che ho annullato tutto e chiesto il rimborso immediato della caparra.rimborso che mi è stato fatto subito.
