"As the room faced the courtyard and was close to the staff room, I tended to keep the shutters down even during the day. It's close to the sea and historical sites, so it's great for sightseeing."

J'ai eu tellement de mauvaises expériences avec Mercure que je n'utiliserai plus jamais la chaîne. I was impressed with nothing except the food at this hôtel. The room was not cleaned to my level of cleanliness (spider webs, smelly toilette, stained towers, dust in the floor corners, etc) I was given a room right at the roundabout so I could hear all the car motocycle truck noises ... and the karoake one night. At the breakfast they kept running out of things and not replacing them, especially the last hour of breakfast. "It's coming madame", and then "breakfast is over at 10H madame". This hôtel may be cool for others but it was not good for me. I expect a lot more for a 4* hotel."

"Average experience. The hotel is located quite far from the city center (15 minutes by car), but there is parking if you arrive by car. The service at the reception desk leaves something to be desired. It's long and not necessarily the most friendly. The shower is a nightmare. The shower pressure is very low. The bedding is very basic and not particularly comfortable. I would say the strong points are the proximity to the coast, the parking lot, and the McDonald's across the street from the hotel."

"This gorgeous b&b is next to the Castle. We had a lovely view of the garden and castle from our room. The owner is keen to be helpful and is very friendly. Our room was huge, with a pod coffee machine and a large comfortable bed. A giant bathroom with a walk in shower and stand alone bath. All in grey and white, very french. The owner said we could use the terrace so we bought our lunch from the bakery and took a bottle of wine and enjoyed. We will definitely go again as I think it is amazing value and the breakfast is very good too."

"We came to dinner at the hostel for several years during our holidays in Varengeville, and we kept the memory of a refined establishment. We wanted to take the aperitif out and that was not apparently of the taste of the server.
