Arrived early hours Saturday morning and all was good! The following days were brilliant until the Thursday when my husband became very unwell and went back to the room and stayed there all of the day after but I then begged him to come down for dinner on the Friday evening! Whilst out for dinner he started to fit and collapsed! The doctor came and checked him over and then we went back to our room which was when it all went very very wrong! He was so poorly it was coming out of both ends and the tummy cramps were next level (thank goodness I had bought lots of buscapan) I would still go down for my breakfast and evening meal but obviously he never left the room until check out on the Monday evening! Everyone in the hotel (staff and mangers) knew what was going on and very kindly let us have the late check out room for free! On returning home literally a few hours later I made an appointment at our gp’s to be told it could be food poisoning but needed to do a sample test! A week later we had the results and it was confirmed he had salmonella which then spread to hepatitis! The hotel are not accepting responsibility even tho they knew at the time what was going on! He’s lost 2 stone and was off work 3 months due to the severity of it all! As such a massive company I’m very saddened how all of this has been handled even tho proof has proved he caught it from the hotel as he never left the hotel once.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay in October half term. The hotel had everything we expected from the Barut chain we have come to love over the years. Food 5* we ate in all the restaurants, my fave was Turkish, but hubby and daughters was Asian. They are all very good though. The buffet restaurant was great with everything you needed plus speciality nights some evenings. We tried the adults only a la carte breakfast one morning, ohh this was a real treat. Pools are nice, but be warned they don't heat them all, and some are absolutely baltic in october. Waterpark is good, but be careful, I broke my thumb and ripped my nail off (ouch). Drinks were exceptionally good, and the bar service was great everywhere, some better than others. However, we found the pool service not great having a long wait for drinks so we just went to the bar instead. Rooms are new and large. We had plenty of space for the 3 Entertainment was good, shows were entertaining. Fairground and games at night are good. They have done a great job of this hotel, considering it's the 1st season open. Would 100% visit again. Special thanks to Sibel who helped with a medical issue.

I’ll start with the negatives as I think it’s better to end on a good note! Pools- Unfortunately during our stay only 2 pools were heated and one of them was a salt pool which isn’t great for children especially due to what I am about to explain. This meant we only really were able to use the main pool. We had 5 children with us and the pool gave them horrendous skin rashes, they were like chemical burns which meant 2 of them couldn’t even swim on our last few days. I had to get bags of ice from the bar to lay in the room with my son to cool the sores down which we shouldn’t have to do on holiday. I reported this twice to the hotel and they denied it was the pool but we met other families experiencing the same issues and their children were in the pool a lot. I even contacted the hotel after we left for it to be escalated and I got no response so I don’t have confidence this will be resolved. I even sent images but nothing which is really disappointing. This has never happened in any other swimming pools elsewhere for us. I have put a few pics but can’t show all body but you can see face and that was all over his body! Shop - incredible overpriced take everything you need for snacks and toiletries wise! I brought a cream to try and help my sons skins and it was £8 for the tiniest tube! Water park was freezing cold which made it pretty much unusable which is such a waste as they are paying to have the splash area and slides on but no one on them as they are so cold. Kids club and fairground - kids did love the club, a few times I felt it was a bit chaotic at the entrance in and out which could be improved for safeguarding reasons. Loved the fair such a nice extra thing to be able to do in the evening! Food and drink The food at this hotel is great! Lots of people there on our stay were very angry they couldn’t get booked in but we were lucky enough to get into 3 restaurants and they were all excellent. Service a bit slow in some, one night my husbands meal was forgotten by staff and we had all eaten by the time he got his. The buffet is good. The pattiserie wasn’t really for us as I think more savoury options would be good to have. I think it would be great if they used this as snack bar type area as there isn’t anything easy to eat in the day, you have to go to a restaurant which can be hassle with kids if they want a more chilled lunch around the pool areas. Great touch having ice creams in freezers around the pool - although they did run out early on a few days. Cocktails are hit and miss but if you are descriptive to staff they do adjust for you! My father in law loved the whisky selection. Entertainment - we loved the shows and particularly the after show party in the beach bar area. There was one particular night they had amazing lights set out and all the dancers came into the bar and dressed up in masquerade style outfits. They did breakdancing and got the kids involved which was brilliant. There was also a band one night from Sou

**Anda Barut Review** **Staff** The staff at Anda Barut are absolutely outstanding—the friendliest and most enthusiastic I've encountered. While English is limited, it's not a problem. The waiting staff, cleaning team, and especially the kids club are all exceptional. **Rooms** The rooms are definitely 5-star, offering spotless luxury with all the amenities you would expect and more. They are incredibly well thought out and spacious. **Buffet** The food choice and quality were once again 5-star. We tried most items, and everything was fresh and of high quality. The staff are always looking to help and serve you. I couldn’t fault it! **Evening Entertainment** Unfortunately, this was a letdown from my perspective. However, it’s a new hotel, and they are still settling in. It's not great, I’m afraid. **Kids Club** The Kids Club truly stands out. It's the best I have experienced, and I have stayed at multiple resorts. The staff are genuinely kind and loving souls who really care about children. I have never seen this quality before and confidently say that the other Barut hotel I stayed at wouldn’t stand a chance. **Fun Fair** This is a great addition, providing lots of fun, and yes, it's completely free. We loved the bumper cars, and surprisingly, the rollercoaster has some kick to it! **Games Room** Everything is new and working great. You can always get on something, and while evenings are busy, if you wait, it’s no problem. The PlayStation 5s are most used, but we loved the table tennis. **Aqua Park** There is a great selection for all ages, serving everyone from babies to adults. A top tip: tie your shorts before going on the slide! **Swimming Pools** Lots of space, clean, and with a lovely environment. The family pool was the main one I used, and sadly, the lifeguards do let the team down. They are very disinterested and hardly pay attention, often seen on their phones or chatting. I witnessed these issues at the family pools and the sea, but I can't comment on the other areas. **Gym** The gym facilities are excellent and spotlessly clean, with water and towels provided. **Shops** Beware of the shop next to the kids club; it is completely overpriced, aiming to defraud and rip off guests. For instance, they tried to charge me 5 euros for inflating my own items and appeared to purposely damage them, so I would have to buy new ones. You cannot trust them; prices are ridiculously high—£30 for goggles and £3 for a pack of chewing gum. However, there is another shop on the walkway to the restaurant that sells electrical goods, toys, and books at very fair prices. I even checked on Amazon, and their prices were better. **Conclusion** Anda Barut is a great hotel that I would definitely recommend and return to. The staff, especially the cleaners, waiting staff, and kids club, are the best I have seen. Area for improvements is addressing the issue of shops ripping off guests. Also the evening entertainment.
