It can really be called a manor. It was the most surprising B&B in the entire self-driving journey. The yard is super huge with many fruit trees and flowers. We even picked peaches and grapes to eat. The house is also elegantly built in ******* style and the bedding is comfortable. There are a lot of dried fruits in the lobby, which are delicious! Breakfast is a combination of Chinese and *******, and the yogurt is especially delicious!
The proprietress and her family were very enthusiastic. Sister Zhamu sat in the yard and chatted with us after she was busy. The landlady's family moved from Niding Village. You can ask them to help contact Niding Village for the Baima Snow Mountain hiking route. Niding Village is really like a paradise.

Songzan Benzilan Hotel sells 1280 yuan/person ”Niding hiking product”, the official said that the hiking + forest lunch is 6 hours long, and it is equipped with a housekeeper and guide. Although Goose, the actual itinerary 1.5 hours (including car, hiking) + lunch 1 hour = 2.5 hours, the actual situation is sauce purple:
🙈 It takes 30 minutes to drive up and down the mountain. During the period, the housekeeper and guide have a variety of happy chats, and the guests are snubbed.
🙈 Get off the bus and start hiking, walk along the forest stream, the guide is in front, far from the guests, walk about 40 minutes, the eyes are open, the end of the hiking is not preventable, as if it is just a step downstairs in the community.... The professional guide has no expertise, and the whole process is zero introduction. I don't know what forest, what river, what mountains, what flora and fauna I have seen;
In short, it is 1200+ bought hiking products, and I am lonely 🌚

The homestay owner is reliable. Can ask and help you plan your journey. I use ~90 minutes public bus from Shangrila to Benzilan village. And ask the homestay owner to arrange the share van(local people use it) for my back trip.You will feel more comfort for altitude sickness problem here.

GGuest UserWhat can I say, Yeyu has simply got to be hands down, the best place that I have stayed in during my entire Yunnan trip. I am amazed and wasn't expecting it to be this great. I know the idea of staying in a luxury hotel doesn't seem to be something that goes hand in hand with hiking (I say this from my experience of having hiked in several other places before where the key highlight is the natural setting itself), but I have to say that it was really soothing for the soul. My girlfriend and I loved this place! The hotel is tastefully designed at every corner and angle and we can appreciate that a lot of creativity and thought was put into designing this place. The aesthetics is very pleasing to the eye and embraces the natural scenery really well. We also loved the homage it pays to the area's ******* roots such as the photographs displayed in the room (young ******* monks playing and the ******* gazelles in the bathroom) and also all the books about Tibet, Yunnan province that is in the library and living room space. The service provided by the staff was top notch, very attentive and caring. We were always asked if there's anything that the staff can do for us be it preparing a plate of fresh fruits, preparing some drinks for us when we were lounging at the living area and another completely unexpected one was when we returned from the Sacred Waterfall hike with our shoes filled with mud, the hotel staff kindly asked us to leave our shoes with him and it came back the next day fully cleaned, placed in front of our rooms. The lovely service provided was just simply amazing and for this, I would like to offer my sincere thanks and gratitude to all of the lovely staff at Yeyu who provided us with such a beautiful memory of our too brief stay here and thank you so much for the room upgrade. If I could organise this trip again, I would have liked to stay here much longer to be able to relax and enjoy the beauty of this place. Please believe me when I say that it is completely worth every yuan.
PS: Please note that there are two Yeyu Hotels in Yubeng, one near the pond and the other near the temple. We stayed at the one near the temple. Both of them are beautiful in their distinctive ways.

GGuest UserThe room is beautifully designed with advanced built in technology such as diffused oxygen supply and floor heating, with a great direct view to the snowy mountains.
There are many home stays nearby that offers the same Mountain View. We paid a premium to stay here, not only for the Mountain View, but also for the supposed services and daily activities that the hotel advertised on social media.
Unfortunately the service level is almost non existent, the breakfast area is easily overpacked. The staffs even asked me to share a four people table with a couple during breakfast. I am not paying USD500 per night so I can share a dining table with strangers with no privacy.
We joined the sound healing experience which was held at 9pm (on the contrary to most other sound healing experiences I had, which is usually in the morning). The sound healing experience was held in the meditation room, which is located right above the Bar. Naturally, during the sound healing experience I heard mostly loud speakers playing APT and other loud music, with some light bowl singing sound.
The dinner was the worst I have had during my 9 days trip in Yunnan. The afternoon tea on level 5 (Bar area) was strangely arranged with all guests cramped next to each other and hunched over the low table where snacks are placed.
The hotel claims to have the top hotel room design and provides top end appliances in all the rooms, including HERMES toiletries, a B&O speaker, and Dyson hairdryer. The staffs introduced the room with great enthusiasm and pride on the small design details.
Although, after 2nights in the hotel, I left feeling the hotel is nothing but an empty shell with no soul.
I will not come back to this hotel again

GGuest UserYubeng YOLO Hotel is really a perfect accommodation experience! Located in the upper Yubeng, the rooms here have an unparalleled view of the snow-capped mountains. Every day when you wake up and open the curtains, you can see the magnificent snow-capped mountains. The shocking beauty is unforgettable.
The hotel's detailed services are also very good. In particular, their road sandwiches are extremely delicious and provide us with full energy for a day's hiking. The sandwiches are rich in flavor and fresh in ingredients, which makes people have endless aftertaste.
What surprised me most was the bathtub in the room! After a day of hiking, being able to take a comfortable bath, the relaxation and comfort are really indescribable. Soaking in the bathtub and looking at the snow-capped mountains outside the window, all the fatigue is swept away. This feeling is simply a luxurious enjoyment.
In short, Yubeng YOLO Hotel not only provides a comfortable accommodation environment, but also unforgettable scenery and thoughtful service. If you also plan to hike in Yubeng, I strongly recommend you to choose here!

TTayutamenghaFrom the moment you step into the hotel, you can feel the caring butler service. When checking in, the butler enthusiastically helped to take the luggage and guided us to the room. Not only did he introduce the room facilities in detail, but he also reminded us of various travel precautions, including the best time and route for each scenic spot, which made people feel warm.
The room is warm and elegant, and the details show quality. But what surprised me the most was the toiletries, which turned out to be Bulgari! With that familiar and high-end fragrance, every wash became a kind of enjoyment, instantly improving the style of the entire stay.
After the play, the butler had been waiting at the door, and handed us glucose water to help us measure the blood oxygen content. After all, it is easy to feel uncomfortable due to environmental changes when playing here. These actions are really thoughtful, and the family-like care is very touching.
The environment of the hotel is also nothing to say, the surrounding scenery is picturesque, quiet and beautiful. Whether it is enjoying the beautiful scenery through the window in the room or strolling in the hotel garden, it can make people completely relax.
The food and beverages are also remarkable, with fresh ingredients, delicious taste, and rich variety to meet all tastes.
This stay at Cangshan Yunju Hotel is impeccable in every aspect. The attentive butler service, the quality enjoyment brought by Bulgari toiletries, the comfortable environment and delicious food are all impressive. I sincerely recommend it to everyone. The room was in a good location, facing the Goddess Peak. Unfortunately, it was snowing and foggy when I went there, so I couldn't see the Golden Mountain in the sun.

AAnonymous UserWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which is perfectly situated in town, offering breathtaking views right from our room (for sunset and sunrise see photos). The location alone makes it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The owner even parked our car right in front of the hotel. Even though we don’t speak Chinese, communication was smooth thanks to a translation app. Their hospitality truly stood out, and we appreciated their warm and accommodating attitude.
The only downside was that our room was quite cold until the heating started working in the evening.
Overall, despite this small issue, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a scenic and welcoming place to stay in the Meili Snow Mountains!

GGuest UserThere is a small bar under the room. It is very relaxing to sit there when you have nothing to do. You can eat in the lobby of the inn. The taste is very good and the price is reasonable. I drank 4 bowls of rice by myself. The room is relatively small, but you can see the snow-capped mountains when lying on the bed. The only thing is that the sound insulation is a bit poor. You can hear people talking in the next room. People with poor sleep need to consider this. In addition, there will be noise when people pass by in the corridor. There are electric heaters and electric blankets in the room, so you won't feel cold when you sleep. The uncle who serves at the front desk is very enthusiastic and nice.

[The first good review is for the beautiful and gentle hotel housekeeper] From the moment we checked in, the hotel housekeeper (should be the hotel housekeeper hehe) received us very warmly and introduced the hotel facilities to us in detail. Knowing that we would return to the hotel after five o'clock, she turned on the floor heating for us in advance and pushed us a guide to play; at night, when she heard us singing the birthday song in the room, the lady brought us Coke, which was touching ❤️; the next day, the lady asked me in advance when I would leave and gave each of us a lucky knot.
[The second good review is for the hotel] In the winter of Yubeng, it is a very happy thing to live in a hotel with sufficient heating and excellent views. The hotel has sufficient floor heating, electric blankets, and complete warm air facilities in the bathroom. In addition, there is a shoe dryer, and the hotel also provides free foot soaking service. The window of our room faces the snow-capped mountains. At night, we curl up in bed and watch movies. In the morning, we wake up under the snow-capped mountains and are awakened by the snow-capped mountains. Downstairs of the hotel is the grassy plain of Yubeng. Watching the sun slanting and the vast smoke of mulberry trees, all of this will become a beautiful memory of our lives.
This time, in Yubeng, I met warm people and a warm hotel.

GGuest UserYourland Hotel is run and operated by a very hard working lady who essentially does everything herself - from welcoming guests, cooking breakfast, cleaning the rooms and washing the bed sheets & laundry. The rooms are very clean and neatly organised, it has all the comforts that any hiker should need in such a remote location that is high up in the mountains (e.g. electric blankets, warm showers, etc.) Please do note that the warm water does need sometime to reheat especially if another guest takes a shower right away after the first guest. It will not be sufficient time for the water heating machine to heat the water. You should take note of the number that is displayed on the water heater. By default in our room, it showed the number of 44 and after the first guest took the shower, it went down to 19. If someone takes a shower right away at that moment, it will be cold so the next person should wait a bit until the number displayed moves up.
The views in the morning are amazing as you can see the mountain ranges on three different sides so you get a very good panoramic view from the terrace of the hotel. After a long day of hiking, our moods were lightened up when we were welcomed by the friendly and playful Labrador Retriever whose name is Dou Dou. Such a lovely dog ＜3. I would recommend you to stay here if you are looking for a place to stay in Upper Yubeng, it's good base for your planned hikes to the Glacier Lake and Nise Ranch. The place might be a bit difficult to locate if you arrive in Yubeng late at night (like we did since we walked all the way from Ninong, which was really tiring), but once you get the gist of it, it's very easy to remember and locate.

GGuest UserThis hotel offers a great location to view the Meili Snow Mountains during the morning golden peak and also sunset (if you're lucky with the weather conditions). It is right next to the bus stop, which means it is very convenient if you are planning to catch an early morning bus (in our case). Rooms can be a bit pricey, but we know that we are essentially paying for the view. The food at the hotel is also tasty, I didn't need to go and look anywhere else for dinner and breakfast. I appreciated the great help that was provided by a staff named Xiao Wei. We arrived at the hotel when it was raining and wasn't expecting to see any mountain range in sight, but then the sky suddenly cleared up during the evening just shortly before sunset whilst we were having dinner and Xiao Wei came over to tell us to go and have a look at the snow mountain, which made our hearts rushed with joy. We also appreciated when Xiao Wei told us again during night time that the mountain range was visible so we quickly opened the curtain to treat ourselves with another fantastic view. The viewing platform on the top floor is a great location to see the sunrise and golden peak. I personally think it's even better viewing at the Feilai Temple platform that most tourists go to. On a final note, Xiao Wei again was very kind to help us by going to the bus platform at 8.30 AM in the morning to help us purchase the bus tickets from the driver (we couldn't do so as wechat pay didn't work for us).
We were very happy with our stay here and got very lucky with some of the best views during our entire Yunnan trip. Thank you very much to Xiao Wei and the staff at Once Upon A Time in Meili :)
