Holiday Inn Express Hotels in Dengfeng

Marked down on service only because upon arrival we had problems entering the hotel because I'm a foreigner & the lady greeting us was not particularly helpful, however a phone call to the local authority by my Chinese girlfriend sorted things out. Room large, bed very comfortable, shower hot, all very clean. Breakfast is one of the best we've had in a Chinese hotel and these are the first three photos. I'm vegetarian and was delighted to see a wide range of freshly prepared and freshly cooked hot & cold vegetable dishes, all delicious. Our compliments to the kitchen staff who clearly know their business! The last two photos are from a local restaurant not far from hotel, can't remember the name but the entrance is very grand like the Tang gate in Luoyang, restaurant on third floor - superb Henan cuisine.

We enjoyed the stay very much! The owner was very helpful and welcoming and we felt right at home. The hotel has a restaurant as well with very delicious food and sweet people working there. The location was peaceful, close to the mountain. All in all, we loved the homely stay and would recommend it to everyone traveling to Dengfeng

All in all we are quite satisfied with our short stay. We haven't used any of the hotel amenities like swimming pool or restaurant, so it's impossible to comment upon them. However, we'd like to say thank you to the stuff that is available any time. It turned out that one faucet didn't work properly and we only found it out at around 11 p.m. We called service number and the problem was solved within 10 minutes. One more pleasant thing is the pillow menu) The beds are generally very comfortable (unlike in many other Chinese hotels), but you still can choose an orthopedic pillow to your liking. That was very nice! Location is good (around 15 min to the mountain park entrance and to the bus station). Unfortunately, we are not very happy with the view. (It was a mountain view room). Yes, we saw a pagoda and the mountains, but also the construction site right below our windows. Workes started their day at around 7 a.m., which was clearly heard in our room. In addition, there's some soft music constantly playing in the corridor. Definitely not for those who are sensitive to extra sounds.

Checked in to the hotel and just happened to catch up with a large conference in the hotel. It was very lively. Although there were many people, the service attitude of the reception staff was still very good. The room was also very clean. I also chose this place after reading the reviews. I feel that the good reviews are really well-deserved. The hotel facilities are also complete. I am very satisfied 👍

The waiter was so enthusiastic. He picked me up and dropped me off. I felt a little embarrassed. The room was nice. There was just a small flying insect at night. The room was also upgraded.

During the Spring Festival, I traveled to Dengfeng to pay homage to the Shaolin Temple in Zhongyue Songshan. I chose a hotel with a good scenic spot nearby. The front desk immediately upgraded the executive room. The hotel campus is very large, very large, and very quiet. There are buildings, villas, and restaurants. There are two lobby side by side. It was very winding to walk around when checking in. The service was very thoughtful. The disadvantage is that the front desk also collects a deposit. The guest room has a door to the balcony, and the ventilation effect is very good. The air conditioner is turned on very high, but it is still quite cold. The bedside sockets are used more and are very loose. The mobile phone was not charged at night. The next day, the room manager called back to report these problems. He was very polite and courteous. He also wanted to mail a gift. It is a relatively high-end hotel. Recommended.

The location is very close to Songyang Academy, which is within walking distance. There are many restaurants nearby. The room is large, and the 2.4-meter bed is spacious and comfortable for two people. The hotel service is very good. When I first arrived, the clerk took the initiative to send the pear juice made by the store, and also carefully introduced the room facilities. Every time I came back from going out, I was greeted warmly, and I felt at home. The room facilities are unique, such as disposable toilet seat rings and disposable plastic slippers, which make people feel at ease. Breakfast was delivered to the room on time, with pastries, coarse grains, eggs, porridge, soy milk, and hot and cold dishes, which was comfortable to eat. You can order dishes in the room for dinner. The delicious dishes are moderate in size, but the serving time is a bit slow (more than half an hour), so you need to place orders more in advance. The hotel has a very cultural atmosphere. There is a wall of bookshelves in the lobby, with all kinds of books: culture, history, prose, novels, law, psychology, etc. I am particularly interested in books introducing the world cultural heritage of Dengfeng; there are also local intangible cultural heritage specialties on display, black peanuts, millet vinegar, soybean paste, sesame maltose, etc., which can also be purchased; there is also a tea room in the corner, where you can taste tea and chat, and there are also brushes and rice paper for impromptu ink splashing. In short, it is a hotel with characteristics and cultural taste, and you can feel comfortable staying in it. There is a 5G signal tower outside the room where I live, and it is almost within reach of the balcony. I wonder if there is radiation? It makes people nervous. But I saw a pair of magpies on the top of the tower busy building nests every day, worry-free and happy to go back and forth. I envy them for not worrying about radiation and being uneasy, I hope not.

This place is very close to the entrance of the Taishi shan in the Song mountain area. The house is clean and is tastefully decorated. The owner is very helpful and a gracious host. He interacted with me well and showed his collection of antiques.He is a positive and energetic person. For hiking Taishi shan, this place is an ideal base. Shaolin temple is a bit away but one can easily access Shaolin temple by taxi. I stayed here for 2 nights and it was a wonderful experience. Please remember that this is a home-stay and not a hotel. This is an ideal place to explore Songshan mountain area. I highly recommend this place.

The geographical location is not very convenient and is more suitable for self-driving. But the environment is very peaceful and the air is very good, as if you are in a paradise. Take a walk and you can feel the birdsong and the fragrance of flowers in every corner and forget all your worries. The food in the restaurant is also very delicious, the hotel service staff are very friendly, and the restaurant owner is also very enthusiastic. It's a pity that I didn't go up the mountain to watch the ceremony that night. I look forward to next time.
