Rustic Turkish hotel. Lovely cleaning lady. Quiet except near mosque.

very good location the hotel is located in a very good location close to all the sights of other places to eat. The hotel is made in the old style looks very cool, the room has all shower / toilet, air conditioning. The price is also not high the room can accommodate up to 3 people for this price a good choice.

Bayraktar Konağı is in the centre of Demre (Kale), an easy walk to St Nicholas Church and several cafes. If you follow the signs for Myra Antik Kenti from the main road (D400) you will go through central Demre and pass Bayraktar Konağı which is next to a filling station. There is parking on the forecourt of the filling station and in the street. Air conditioning worked well and the shower room was adequate with plenty of warm water. Everything was clean. The welcome was warm. The price was good value. This historic building is a point of interest in itself. Furniture and decoration makes it a living museum, a comfortable living museum. The history is explained in leaflets. Building work started in 1940 and was finished in 1963. At that time there was no road connection to Demre so building materials were brought from Izmir by sea. Wood came down from the cedar forests around Elmalı. The Bayraktaroğlu family lived in the building until 2019. In 2012 the building was taken under the protection of Turkey’s Culture and Tourism Ministry, restored to original form and opened for tourism.

Oncelikle rezervasyonda soylenen oda yerine o otelin temizlikci ve hizmetlisinin zanam zaman kaldigini soyledigi bir odada kalmam istendi. Odanin icindeki dolap tamamen baskasinin esyalari ile doluydu. Oda eski ve temiz degildi. Otel idaresi ile gorustgumde bu oda normalmis gibi davrandi. Sonra yanlis yapildigini kabul etti

Eski bir konak olan otelde 2 gece konakladık. ***et ilgili ve işini iyi yapan bir çalışan bulunuyordu. Oda oldukça genişti ve temizdi. Yalnızca eski bir konak olmasından kaynaklı eski bir yapı. Otoparkı mevcut.

Odadaki ölü kakalak ve odaların 50 yıl önceden kalmış olması dışında, işleten kişilerin samimiyeti iyiydi. Ne kadar ekmek o kadar köfte mantığıyla düşünülebilir.
