Berkshire on the Ocean

Berkshires on the Ocean is a hidden gem. The rooms are a bit outdated, however, they are kept very clean and in the process of updating. The rooms have a sitting area with pull out couch, small kitchenette with dishwasher and stove, bathroom and decent sized bedroom. A couple friends and I went for a long weekend and had a room on the 2nd floor which had a view of the ocean. We never felt like we were fighting for space. The hotel had a pool, putting green and tables to relax in the commons area. There was private access to the beach where cabanas were on a first come first serve. However, beach chairs were also available from the front desk. I can not say enough about how accommodating and friendly the staff was. If you needed something, they brought it immediately. The famous Atlantic Ave. where all the shops, bars and restaurants are was only a 2 mile walk away down Ocean Blvd. If you didn't want to walk that far, a short walk over the bridge leads you to stores and other places to eat. It is a place I would definitely go back to and highly recommend.

Spent 4 days at this fabualous hotel with some friends. Although an older establishment, they are in the process of updating. The rooms were spacious and clean with a convenient kitchenette. The grounds and pool were well maintained and steps from the beach. It is conveniently located, only 2 miles from downtown (Atlantic Ave), where you'll find a variety of fabulous restaurants, bars, and shops. Although check out was at 10 am, and our flight wasn't until 4 pm, we still had access to the grounds, pool, and restroom. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating throughout our stay! I absolutely recommend this hotel and will return soon!

Great access to uncrowded beach. Resort is old but functional. They are giving it a face lift with painting. Customer service was excellent!

Great location. Communicate with the front desk via text. Pool on site. Sits directly on the Atlantic Ocean. Great stretches of sand to walk. Atlantic Avenue is lined with shops and restaurants. Flag 3 beach. Kitchen is small but well stocked with utensils and appliances. Our king sized bed was comfortable. Very hot outside, the AC works well. Also had ceiling fans. Beach towel service. chairs , loungers and umbrellas already set up on beach. Easy Peasy!

The location is a bit aged. Other than that, it is fantastic. The unit has ample storage and functionality. The pool is very nice with plenty of outdoor seating and there are grills available. The beach access is extremely convenient and the courtesy cabanas are fabulous!

Perfect for a couple who wants to have nothing but rest and relaxation. Steps from the beach where there are cabanas on a first come first serve basis. Extremely clean property and well kept. All employees were very respectful and had been there for many years. Something important to know is that they have a handicap ramp on the side of the parking lot to help those that are not crazy about steps. This is a 2 story building, so be sure and request the first floor if you are not able to climb stops. I absolutely loved my time here.
