Comfort Inn & Suites DeLand - Near University

Hotel was clean, room comfortable, just did an overnight, breakfast was ok.

The young man who checked us in was very polite, friendly, and professional. Everything is very clean. The room is comfortable. The breakfast room has a lady attending it who is keeping Everything in good orer. The breakfast is basic and includes eggs, sausage, cereal, Oatmeal, waffles, yogurt, etc.

Room cleanliness is very important to us. And this room was spotless. Cleanliness is like godliness. Also the breakfast was superb. Everything was that was supposed to be hot was hot and things that were supposed to be cold were cold. All in all it’s a good day

Unfortunately the 2nd and 3rd floors smell musky. Walked in the first room on the 2nd floor, and it had a broken bed that one side was laying on the floor. We immediately got another room on the 3rd floor and it has a slight odor but otherwise seems ok so far (we are here until morning.)

The toilet kept running each time it was flushed which I had to fix. The t.v. would not work, went downstairs, they gave me another remote, still didn't work, went back downstairs and they screwed around with batteries, which didn't seem to be the problem because it worked for the t.v. downstairs. They came up to our room and changed the plug from one socket in the outlet to the other. Apparently, that is the problem with the t.v. often but they have no clue as to why. Next night, t.v. didn't work again but I fiddled with the power ***** switch and the plug and got it to work myself. And then there was the key card that took forever to work and then it didn't. We were told you can't have the key card next to a watch or your phone or it messes it up, but the key was in my purse, in a separate compartment not even close to my phone. This place is pet friendly so that's why we stay here, but it turns out the Hampton Inn, which is in the same area, is also pet friendly so I think we will be trying that on our next visit to DeLand. Evey time we stay here there is problems. Last time they had no food left for breakfast at 9, even though breakfast is till 10. They didn't have a lot of choices this time around either.

Running from Hurricane Idalia. This is our second hurricane stay here and they never disappoint. Clean, great rates, friendly, centrally located for all we need and pet friendly. Can you ask for more...no.

Horrible! Smells like old people and pee🤮🤮 Sheets were wrinkly and looked like the just made the bed and did not change sheets the soap had hair and smelt horrible bathtub was dirty and we found a COCKAROACH in our room. We opened the mini fridge and the was trash in it from the past guest hate it here🤬🤬🤬 would give it a 0 if I could if I was an inspector I would shut it down👎👎

Pitiful. We stayed here last July. Same experience this July. Room is not maintained daily. No trash removal. No fresh towels or washcloths. Beds are not made. I am at a loss as to how this establishment receives good reviews. I was hoping the good reviews were an indication of improvement. Apparently not. This has turned me off of Confort Inn completely, even though my stays with them in other states have been good to excellent. Move on. This one is not worth it.

Very loud place. TV was horrible so much tiling. Pillows were the size of a marshmallow. Absolutely no water pressure. Then used the lobby computer to print but the printer had no ink. Breakfast was good.
