It's actually the second time we're visiting this hotel, before when it was Hod Hotel it was a really poor hotel but when Herbert Samuel chain bought it we thought we should give it another try...too early as the did changed a lot but it's still far from reaching it's potential. The location is great as it's almost the last hotel (only one another after) at the end of the dead sea beach. The lobby is renovated and clean and the staff are nice but could be nicer for sure. Don't expect any dining in the lobby or even drinking as the lobby bar is poor and closes early and most of the time unoccupied. The free WiFi is fast and stable enough. The rooms are a bit small and the beds are terrible so sleeping quality is really poor. The TV offers some channels to entertain you with but nothing special. Water pressure in the bath is strong and really nice although still some repairs are required there. Housekeeping are cleaning in the morning but really fast and not a professional clean unfortunately and it took few phone calls to ask from the reception to replace towels and few other things. Breakfast is OK, nothing special but simply OK, Dinner is really lame and I would recommend skip it and go somewhere else outside. The pool is not so big but clean, the indoor pools at the SPA area are really good offering a dead sea water (salty water) pool, jacuzzi and and mineral pool, but they're rather small and get crowded frequently. We took few SPA treatments and these were really good, professional therapists that worth the time and money spent. View from some of the rooms is really nice so make sure to ask for it when placing a booking. Value for money is OK but as I said, still lot's of potential to make this hotel better.
