What a horrible experience! Got there and as soon as we opened the door and saw the room, we went down and requestes cancellation, but it was denied! The clerk refused to call management. Story short: the ocean view is through a glass, and the bed is set in an weird position to get that view. The table lamps have to be turned on at the same time. Internet never worked! There is no breakfast. Personell is rude. Bed linen (covers) are obviously not clean. Horrible! And the hotel (it is a motel), is priced at the same rates of the good hotels around. Stay away! Not worth your money and time!

Rooms are dated. Management is angry. Told me not to have any friends stay. Did not want any pictures taken from his parking lot. They should advertise truth that there is no beach access and no pool and ocean comes up to debris at high tide.

We booked this room for the pool and access to the beach in Feb 2023. Based on their website as well as a 3rd party site we were sure the location was perfect and the price was right. Unfortunately the hurricanes have taken out both the pool and the beach access. We were not informed of this before checking in. Once we discovered this we wanted to leave, but the manager was not available. We spent 1 night, and the following morning met with the manager and, after several phone calls and trips to the office to cancel through the booking site we were able to cancel and get a refund. I had to provide a great deal of proof to the manager. Including showing him both sites and my confirmation email. I checked their website over a week after and they have not changed anything.

Extremely friendly staff great location. They were extremely polite and courteous. The customer service just was amazing. The location was just so amazing because I could just walk down to the beach. The rooms were clean and I enjoyed staying there.

The good: Great location, dog friendly ($25 pet fee). Helpful and friendly front desk staff at night. Some upgrading of rooms was apparent with new-looking, modern design (but low cost) furniture and recent painting. Room, bathroom and kitchenette were clean. The bad: Bed linens had holes and old stains. Additional renovation/repair of stairwell was underway and loud work began early. In the morning, the manager/supervisor on duty began yelling at housekeeping staff from across the courtyard during which he fired the them. Remaining staff dropped F-bombs routinely as they worked. College spring-breakers probably wouldn't care about any of this but your customers the rest of the year, do care.

I would give this place a few pluses and one equally fat minus, unfortunately. Let me start with pluses. First one is the great location - right next to the bridge connecting to the mainland and also right across the street from the Cracked Egg, an awesome breakfast diner. The hotel is about 15 minutes drive from popular attractions - Daytona Beach Shoppes and the Boardwalk, Ponce de Leon Lighthouse, Crabby Joe's and more. What makes this hotel even better – it is right on the oceanfront. You can see and hear the ocean when you open your room door; and to get to the beach all you have to do is to go down the stairs at the end of the very small parking lot. There’s also a pool facing the ocean and plenty of tables and chairs so you can eat your dinner and enjoy the view. I’m about to talk about the one big fat minus, but I’m willing to get this place a benefit of a doubt. Because not a single review mentioned this problem before. So, hopefully, it is a freakish incident and is being taken care of? The problem? - cockroaches! And not only small ones – some half inch ones roaming the place like it belongs to them. Not scared of the light nor noise. Heck – one even climbed onto my cup as I was about to take a sip – I almost swallowed it!
