The room is clean and spacious. The hostess gave us fresh fruits. The place is quiet in the day and night. Hotel is located opposite Huayan Temple and convenienfly walking distances to Drum / Bell tower and city walls. It’s also walking distance to 2 famous FenglinGe restaurant and Xijin Road Noodle Restaurant (喜晋道•面馆) and Fenglinge (凤临阁) - definitely must try for gourmet wannabes.

Excellent hotel! The service was exceptional. The ladies at the reception were amazing. They booked us a taxi for visiting the great Buddhas and they provided us with a breakfast picnic bag when we left too early in the morning. The hotel is situated just a few minutes walk from the old town. Quite handy. There is a free laundry room that we could use for our clothes. Much needed! The buffet breakfast was delightful and varied. Perfect stay!

The location is not too bad, it is within a cluster of many newly built homestays. I chose this place for its zen design style and it is newly opened, and i read in thr review that there was free coffee provided during breakfast. Therefore i was rather dissappointed when i found out that there is no such thing, coffee is chargeable. I was glad that i brought my own drip coffee to supplement the breakfast. Although my room was eligible for 2 breakfasts, i was only provided with 1 set of breakfast and not offered any replacement for the other breakfast set that i did not take. The room size is just nice for 1 person with luggage. Bathroom+toilet was quite large in comparison to the bedroom. My room overlook the opposite facility, the window can be opened to let in fresh air. There is washing machine+dryer on the ground floor. The girls at the lobby was nice to help me manage my laundry. I was glad that i could use the large table at the lobby for my work. It is an irony that there is a non smoking signboard in the room together with an ashtray....

Take a spontaneous trip and discover a treasure hotel next to the ancient city attractions. The hotel is located in the city center, and outside the window is a bustling street market with people coming and going. When you step into it, there is only silence in the room. The check-in process is easy and pleasant, and the smile of Wei Jianhua, the front desk staff, instantly dispels my travel fatigue. The hotel's facilities are also worthy of praise, from the exquisite and complete guest room supplies, to the heated swimming pool, to the gym equipped with equipment, every place shows quality, and the details are full of care. The welcome fruit, welcome card, and a pair of small fish prepared on the bed are simply too surprising, which exceeds my expectations. I am satisfied!

Spacious room, clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were more than adequate with a choice of varieties. Hotel location was ok just outside the wall though neighbouring shops were all shuttered. Taxis plentiful and inexpensive. Nightly dinner was at the hotel restaurant - good food, surprisingly very affordable prices and extremely good services from the staff. What stood out most were the very helpful, cheerful staff, at the front desk, restaurants, and cleaners!

This hotel was really good! It was in a smaller alley, so not alot of noise, close to the ancient city. In 10 minutes walk you will already have the views of the city walls. It was very easy to reach by bus from the high speed train station (Datongnan). The room was beautiful, bed was super comfy and everything was clean. No cigarette smell either. Staff was really friendly and could speak some English which was pleasant. There is also a coffee and cocktail bar in the lobby, we only tried the coffee, but it was a nice!

Excellent. Done in the traditional hotel style but with very modern in-room amenities. Bathroom is clean and private, with nice shower including good quality—free flow—shampoo and bodywash, clean toilet and a proper door (no glass bathrooms here!). It’s so hard to find a hotel room like this these days. Most importantly, all the staff were totally amazing, and the manager is so friendly and keen to help and can speak some English which makes things all the easier. There are quite a few shaokao and noodle places around the hotel, and importantly, the snowman drink place (蜜雪冰城) is not too far away! The hotel is just a couple of Ks south of the most popular entrance to the amazing ancient wall (大同古城), and in the other direction, about five hundred metres to another nice park called Mingtan Park where I flew my new drone for the first time ever while a local man practiced perfectly his Taoist meditation completely undeterred by the annoying whirring sound of the drone! My only regret is not planning more than a single night here. There’s so much more to Datong than just the Yungang Grottoes and the Hengshan Hanging Temple (though they are both totally spectacular!), so stay a couple of nights at least if you can.

Amazing start to our Shanxi visit - despite freezing subzero weather, our hearts are warmed by our most welcoming and beautiful Ms Zhang, who single-handedly took on and resolved all our issues, always with a smile and utmost efficiency and diligence; from picking us up at the train station, making us warm fresh longjing tea and fresh fruits every night breakfast preparation, recommending a driver (Ms Guo) to maximise our time in Datong, recommending the best local restaurants (Fengling Restaurant is our favourite), assisting us with our laundry, taking us to the bank to exchange money. There’s nothing she cannot do! Most importantly she is so attentive to my elderly parents, especially my mum who has mobility issue- Ms Zhang drove us to and from the city and we are very thankful for her very warm hospitality. She went out of her way to make our stay so comfortable and on the last night, took us on a drive around the ancient city to absorb the night scenery. My mum thinks this is one of the best hotel she has stayed in. Comfortable bedding and beautifully designed and well-fitted out with Smart technologies. Most highly recommended!

Very satisfied, it should be a new store. When I booked the room, I saw few reviews and was a little hesitant. However, it exceeded my expectations by a lot. I particularly liked the loft style, which is simple and stylish. The layout is reasonable, there are two bathrooms upstairs and downstairs, and the price is also very good. The whole house is smart and fully equipped. The shower gel and other items are all from L'Occitane. The bed, bathrobe and slippers are all very comfortable. The geographical location is excellent, Wanda and Xijin Road are very close, and takeaway can be delivered to your door. There is also a pick-up service, which is about ten minutes' drive from the high-speed rail station, which is also very fast. In short, I am very satisfied. It is a super treasure hotel. Please keep up the good work and come again next time! ! !

Enjoy beyond expectation, avoid the holiday by traveling off-peak, take the whole family to Datong, which is popular around Beijing, on Sunday, and find this new homestay with super value. The decoration style is simple but not simple, the materials are genuine, and the sincerity of the owner of this homestay is everywhere. First of all, when you enter the guest room, you will see a large plate of seasonal fresh fruits and a large plate of snacks to welcome you, which gives people a sense of surprise and warmth. The children are happy to clamor for food. Secondly, the guest room is spacious and bright, with a large aluminum alloy bay window that is clean and bright. The sun shines into the room, which is warm and comfortable. Thirdly, the various smart devices in the guest room reflect that the owner keeps pace with the times. Smart curtains, smart toilets, smart lighting, and smart TVs are all big brands, high-end, and the configuration is no less than or even higher than that of a five-star hotel. The biggest surprise for the children is that it is also equipped with a large bathtub. After a day of travel, take a bubble bath, which is both refreshing and exciting. Finally, I have to talk about the seasonal breakfast of the B&B, the local specialty millet pumpkin porridge, which is warm and stomach-nourishing. According to the boss, the local millet was tribute rice in ancient times. Nutritious eggs + corn + yam + special noodles, a few plates of seasonal pickles, and authentic knife-cut noodles. The B&B has thoughtful service, warm hospitality, and can also provide professional sightseeing advice and reasonable arrangements, which allowed me to avoid many pitfalls on this trip. For example, the boss suggested buying tickets early, going to the Hanging Temple early in the morning (there is a limited flow in the temple scenic area, which can avoid long queues), and arranging the itinerary to go to the hot food punch-in store (avoid long queues). The owner of the B&B is warm and hospitable. This Datong family weekend trip is quite successful. I sincerely recommend this B&B to everyone to experience the same wonderful journey as me.
