Have spent a memorable time in Ging Tea House with family and friends. Staying in heritage Bungalow in the mid of tea garden was a great experience . The kind of service and hospitality the have provided under the leadership of Mr Andrew was amezing .

What a location! If you decide to stay at the Ging Tea House, I hope you are lucky enough to be able to have breakfast on the lawn with that amazing view! We have just spent 4 nights here and the staff and the food are both wonderful. We had a huge comfortable room and really cannot fault the hotel at all. Admittedly the final part of the journey down from Darjeeling is ***** just about one of the worst roads I have ever been on - but don’t let that put you off - it is worth it. If you are looking for a really quiet place to stay after the hustle and bustle of other parts of India (we had just done the Golden Triangle tour and Udaipur for 9 days) - this is the place for you.

On May 10th, we visited Ging tea estate expecting a great experience given the rates of ₹1800+ taxes. Unfortunately, the food fell short of our expectations. To our surprise, our meal included bhindi with fried ants, which was unacceptable. We were looking forward to a satisfying dining experience, but the quality didn't match the price point.

V disappointed. Extremely hard to Get access. Terrible roads. Too expensive for old property. Have nothing to Do in the property. Have to put up with day trippers for tea tastings so no peace either. Way too expensive for the mediocre experience . Staff are good.

Absolutely charming boutique hotel with stunning rooms and great views! The staff was very welcoming and arranged lovely outdoor breakfasts and cozy evening bonfires. Amazing ambience overall. A must-stay for anyone visiting Darjeeling!

My friend and I loved the Ging Tea House. Yes, it was chilly in early March in the public rooms, but we had a fire lit in the dining room and also a brazier outside for drinks before dinner. I got a bathroom heater on request - it would probably be a good idea to supply all the bathrooms with one. But a special thanks to Nikesh, who gave us some great guided walks through the tea estate, visiting the nearby small villages of “gingerbread” houses with perfectly kept gardens and arrays of pot plants. He also showed us the tea factory and arranged a trip for us on the “toy train” (swallow your scepticism and do it, it’s a trip back in time) and to places around Darjeeling. We enjoyed all our meals over a four night stay. It was a pleasure to be amongst the people of Gorkhaland, who were so warm and hospitable, in this unique and beautiful corner of India.

A gorgeous looking tea house with lovely views. Our rooms were huge as were the bathrooms. But for the amount of money we were paying the food and service didn’t match the outlay. First the tea house was freezing cold. There were no heaters in the common areas. No fires were lit during the day and one night there was no wood. There was one heater in the large bedroom and only electric blankets saved the evening. Food was average very average. They had no gin on one night and no non alcoholic beer. Breakfast outside was fine. The staff did their best but was far below the standard you’d expect.

I had an incredible and a memorable stay at the Ging Tea house. Andrew and his team took care of every personal details and went out of their way to make our stay extremely pleasant. The property is full of charm and very clean and decor was very tasteful. Food was excellent and the staff tended to our personal needs. The view from Ging was breathtaking! It is a place to be mesmerized by the natural beauty. Had an extremely nice trip to be cherished!!!

I went with my sister, to have some lovely time together and make memories. Awesome view, rejuvenating, lifetime experience, lovely decors , cozy beds, victorian touch... lovely interior, beautiful chandeliers, very very clean, stuffs were too polite , had a very comfortable stay. Itsca vast property. The drivers were very cooperative and friendly, the manager was too polite and responsible, the helper ladies were very courteous , compassionate and caring... altogether they made my stay very memorable and comfortable, a must visit place!!.
