Wow,dalyan is one stunning place. It feels like you are a million miles from the uk, with glorious rivers, lakes and beach. This hotel is basic, but beautiful in its own right. Chilled, but close enough to everywhere. Would I go again, 100% and I don't usually ever go anywhere twice. Special place.

Nice hotel in a good location, this is the first time we’ve stayed at the Alla Turca Hotel it’s a four star, but it’s really a three star, we stayed for two weeks B&B the rooms are ok,there is a safe, fridge, air conditioning and a TV but our TV didn’t work. The breakfast is typical Turkish, no bacon,sausage or baked beans,but plenty of eggs and plastic meat also fruit,tea and coffee the coffee isn’t very good. If you like a hot drink in your room then take a travel kettle, as there isn’t one in the room It will take you about ten minutes to walk to the town centre, by the side of the river or on the road If you want to go to the beach by boat it will cost you about six pound,you can’t buy a beer at the beach anymore, so we went the other way with Thomas to the market, a very pleasant trip costing eight pounds, it takes about one hour and forty minutes Meals cost about twelve pounds, but if you want a steak it’s about twenty five pounds,a beer is four pounds, if you like Indian food then go to the Spice Garden it’s very good and reasonably priced Would we stay again at the Alla Turca, Yes

We stayed here for 11 nights. On arrival we we were present with a scruffy, smelly room on the top floor and junkyard view, this was no 4 star room possible 2 at best. Asked to move rooms at reception and we were offered another room at the cost of another £450!!! We paid the upgrade cost as I knew we couldn’t stay in that other room. After a few days we noticed the towels-on-sun- bed brigade were in force. We only spent two days by the pool as we are not the type to get up at 6:30 on hols to bag a sun bed. Dalyan is lovely and we had a great time on the boat trips and beach. The buffet breakfast is lovely and the cleaning staff do a great job. Definitely won’t be back to Alla Turca but we will be back to Dalyan.

Came here 5 years ago,just returned for 9 days .It's been so relaxing plenty of sunbeds the weather has been amazing .We had a slight issue with our room but kerem such a friendly guy sorted this .The rooms are immaculate thanks to Halime the cleaner she is amazing so thoughtful and a very hard worker .The food was good plenty of choice ,We were served by Ibraham and hediye most morning and evening meals both very pleasant many thanks will return x

Pros. Returning guests, have always liked this hotel. Lovely pool and garden area. Good breakfast choices. Bar and snack bar good. Cleaning staff excellent. Walking distance to town. Cons. Rooms very tired and in need of refurbishing. Stains on banquette and bedspread. Bathroom door damaged, no toiletries. Patio door needed repair. More clothes hangers required. Decking in garden dangerous, moving when walked on and screws sticking up in places. This could be a serious hazard for the elderly guests and children. Enough sunbeds but inadequate mattresses for them. No more available. Mattresses marked and requiring replacement, reception staff fairly disinterested. Requested late checkout 24 hours in advance as required by hotel (chargeable) and was told to return the day of departure, not helpful for planning. Rep assisted and after a 20 minute wait during negotiation we were told a late checkout was available. In conclusion the hotel requires some fairly urgent upkeep and refurbishment before I would consider rebooking.

We arrived at this hotel end of September..checked in and was shown our room..as I walked in, I knew that I wasn't staying..it was small.. dark..almost gothic..and the view of a whitewashed wall was not for me..so I went to reception to ask for a different room.. I said I don't mind top floor..so they put us in 127..again small..but slightly better..although the view was of a dumping ground..but it was quiet..or so we thought..1st night was noisy..but put it down to overtired and it was a one off..2nd night exactly the same..and there was an off smell coming from the drains..went to complain at reception next morning..to be told they will sort it..3rd night..again the noise, and smell was terrible, I got up and poured shampoo down the drains..next morning went to reception to complain of having no sleep for 4 nights..again very apologetic..told me he would have a word with the owners when they had finished breakfast..I said I would have a word instead..so off I go..was very polite and told them my complaint..after we went out for the day..but when we got back after tea..the manager was waiting for us in reception..Full of apologies, they said we could have another room, to which we said we are going home in 3 days..no point..however they were insistent..they took us to our new room..WELL!!!..it was a suite..huge bed..lovely bathroom..sitting area with a large t.v and a jacuzzi..and also they told us we could keep the other room on as well so we didn't have to move our belongings..very impressed..the next morning at breakfast..the owners came over to us and apologised again .which was a nice touch..so for the rest of the holiday we had perfect peace..and we slept..it turned out room 128 was being used by some evening staff and when they finished there shift at midnight..that's when the problem started..apparently they have had numerous complaints regarding these employees.and they have been moved several times around the hotel..so they were aware of these men..but hoped that these paying customers..who pay there wages..would not say anything..on the whole..it turned out in our favour..but I would definitely NOT stay here again..

I have been to this hotel three times . i arrived with my husband on 8th October ready to stay 9 nights and enjoy our holiday which we had been looking forward to. My 77 year old husband was in pain on the first night there , he had a very bad urinary infection. Rather than mess with his health we decided o go home after one day. The recepton helped us by ringing Jet 2 and we paid for flights home. The man on reception charged us 36 pounds for the phone call . [1.200 turkish lire] we expected to pay but not that much. Would i go back again , sadly nooooo....we had two holidays booked for next year to this hotel but not now they are cancelled .

Absolutely love this place. Everyone is so friendly. The rooms are traditional but comfy. The pool is great & clean. Rooms are cleaned daily & the cleaners do a fantastic job. Just wish they would update their website with photos of the guest. Dennison is part owner and absolutely crazy. He likes a laugh and always interacts with the guest. People return every year to this hotel because of the great atmosphere

Lovely large room, great size swimming pool, the food was very good and the staff lovely. There was a walk into town but they offer a free lift in a morning 9am 9.30 and 10am though a taxi's only 100tl (£3), and the walk's not too bad though pitch black at night so take a torch if not a taxi. It was very quiet with free safe (in room) and air con. The only negative was they have enough sun beds but not mattresses when asked at reception was told go and take one off another bed, so they're aware of this. First time we'd stayed at this hotel and would stay again.

Just returned from 9 nights at Alla Turca - first time at this hotel and certainly will not be our last. Room was good, clean towels every day, air con was great. Cleaners work so hard and are very friendly. Pool area and gardens are lovely. Plenty of sun beds with soft cushions, yes beds were taken very early but blame the brits for reserving early morning and then not turning up until late (shame on you) always beds available in the garden area which was nice and quiet and had the sun all day if you moved your bed around. Snack bar and bar staff were great, food and drink very good. We stayed B&B plenty of choice for breakfast, we did not eat at the hotel in the evening so cannot comment. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance and did not have a bad meal the whole time we were there. We did hear lots of repeat visitors to the hotel moaning to each other that the hotel is not what it used to be - however, I would say ignore their comments and try it for yourselves - you will not be disappointed.

We came back yesterday after a fortnight at Alla Turca. We have been to this hotel many times and afraid to say it's very tired and not being looked after. We last went in June and noticed the difference as in September was very busy and there wasn't enough foam sunbeds for the loungers. Our main complaint was our air conditioning didn't work we were in 123 and it was meant to be fixed but it didn't work and the weather was in the 30s so it was very uncomfortable in the room and we both got bad throat and had to go to chemist. Location great. Lovely staff just needs updating.

Stayed as a couple for a week in September. We have visited Dalyan a number of times before, but never this hotel. The positives first: Nice location with a lovely walk into town along the river Lovely pool and garden area (although I did see some fellow brits reserving sun loungers at 9pm ready for the morning!) There is a lovely garden area with plenty of loungers which was nice and quiet. Breakfast was very good and we also stayed half board and found the food perfectly ok. Staff generally friendly and helpful (especially the bar staff ) Not so positives: Our room (127) was tired and shabby - definitely not 4*. The view from the balcony was straight into the general dumping area where all the old sun loungers and broken equipment was. As well as the bins. Maybe the other rooms were better, but I wouldn’t go back unless we could have a different room. We had to ask them twice to come and change towels etc. nobody came for the first 3 days we were there. Our room developed a drainage issue which made it smell awful. They did fix it, but it wasn’t great. Overall, it could be a lovely hotel but certainly some of the rooms need a bit of updating.

Our first trip to Turkey but we are no strangers to foreign travel - I only say this because our stay got off to a bad start when, before we unpacked in our room I checked the air conditioning unit and discovered it was barely working: the fan mechanism was not responding and the cool air was barely detectable. I am an electrician by trade and it was 32°C outside and nearly that in the room situated two floors up beneath the roof. I was therefore not impressed when the front desk clerk came in and repeatedly told me the unit was working fine when clearly it wasn't. We were eventually given a different room where the air-con worked as expected...but not before I had to stand at Reception while he and his manager engaged in some angry and unpleasant sounding conversation in my presence which of course I couldn't understand. Neither was assistance offered to help me move all our luggage from that 2nd storey room to the 1st storey room on the other side of the complex. For me the test of a good hotel is their response to resolve any problems and the attitude of these two persons was very poor. After that the holiday improved and we did enjoy the facilities and the buffet breakfasts. Others have said the rooms are tired and to an extent we agree, but they were clean and the hard-pressed Room maids did a great job. We only asked for a tidy-up every other day to give them a breather. The bedding was in need of a top sheet and the rough cotton blanket was too small. The bed was comfortable and the shower excellent so that's always a bonus. The pool area was lovely but we noticed by 07:35am (when we went for a walk before breakfast began at 8am) that there were already 21 towels on loungers and no-one in sight! The clientele are mainly Brits and Dutch. There were about 3 dozen loungers around the pool and more in the garden area where you may need insect spray. On that point mossies are everywhere in Dalyan and seem to get worse between 7pm and 8pm. (Effective repellant is sold in the shops and all restaurants provide it if asked). Another point for non-smokers to remember when coming to Turkey is it seems that nearly everyone smokes! It's like being in 1960s Britain and the few old sad phlegm-coughing smokers we still have left in the U.K. seem to flock here to smoke themselves silly: so expect them to light up, whether or not you are eating a meal right next to them in a restaurant, or seated alongside them on a boat trip or pool lounger - they will not spare you a moments thought! (I am not of course not marking the hotel on this point :) Generally we found the hotel staff friendly, especially the Room cleaners and all the younger waiting staff. A couple of older men waiting on breakfast were less friendly and one of them was open-mouth coughing the whole two weeks. We didn't eat the £15pp buffet evening meal and chose instead to sample the huge number of restaurants within walking distance. We liked that our hotel was slightly out of the busier cent

Great position for walking to the centre. Lovely pool area which is very clean and plenty of sun beds. Most have a comfy base. There is a quieter area in the garden section. Slightly older guests so lovely and relaxing although pool music spoilt the relaxation as too modern and noisy at times. However they did change it when asked. Hotel is very dated especially our room. Broken tiles, very old furniture, not as clean as it could be although bed is made up each day. Bed was hard and only one itchy bed sheet which didn’t cover us both as not the right size . Blanket helped a bit. Shower was lovely but not enough toiletries for two people. Only one shower gel and one shampoo. No tv when we arrived. Replacement didn’t work then second replacement was really poor. Told everyone’s was the same due to a satellite issue but this wasn’t the case when chatting to other guests . Didn’t spoil the stay as not in the room for long. Patio small with the palm tree leaves hanging right over which spoilt any view. A relaxing 4 day break but we wouldn’t go back as this definitely does not have the feel of a 4star hotel as the rating states.
