Dali Jinze Xiaoyuan Inn (Dali Ancient City South Gate)

I had the pleasure of staying at the Dali Jinze Xiaoyuan Inn (Dali Ancient City South Gate), and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The inn’s location is ideal—just a short 5-minute walk from the South Gate of Dali Ancient City, making it extremely convenient for exploring the bustling pedestrian streets and local attractions. Despite being so close to the heart of the city, the inn offers a peaceful and quiet retreat. The rooms were modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed. I particularly appreciated the intelligent features like the automatic heated toilets, blackout curtains, and sensor night lights. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic, and there was always plenty of hot water, temperature is just right which added to the comfort after a long day of sightseeing. What really made the stay exceptional was the hospitality of the host and staff. They went above and beyond to ensure my trip was memorable, offering valuable tips on local attractions, dining options, and even helping with transportation arrangements. Their warm and friendly demeanor made me feel right at home. I’ll never forget the relaxing evening spent chatting with the host over a cup of Chinese tea. The inn is also close to a charming vegetable market and a street filled with delicious local food options, which made dining out and picking up fresh produce incredibly easy. Overall, Dali Jinze Xiaoyuan Inn is the perfect combination of convenience, comfort, and outstanding service from the host Xiao Liang.

After searching around, I finally chose this hotel. Really recommend. Firstly, room was as described. We had the two bed and the host helped with luggage. Much appreciated. Spacious and comfortable. Host was very helpful. I needed some sewing services, contacted her late at night and she recommended an excellent seamstress. When informed we ran out of shower soap, she gave us a whole new good quality set. Host helped to arrange transfer to Lijiang and even personally took and waited with us for the coach in the rain. Location of this hotel is great. Food everywhere. It is set back in a small alley so is quiet at night. Minutes walk away from Dali ancient city with gate. Right opposite the fruit market. Room also has a big TV screen and powerful air conditioner. The hot water is immediate and the shower is powerful. There is laundry facilities too. Thank you very much to the host for making our first trip to Dali memorable.
