Spirited Silky Inn（ncient Dali City）

I really appreciated how friendly and helpful the front desk staff were. They were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, even with the language barrier. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning—both inside and out. Staying here felt like stepping into the fairytale world of my favorite Chinese dramas. Plus, a few halal food restaurants were conveniently within walking distance, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

Amazing place to stay. It’s like being in a movie, the decoration, the lights at night.. The location is also good, walking distance from the old city. As a tourist I would definitely recommend it!

This hotel is very new. Three story building with lift. The building interior decoration is very beautiful. The room sound proof is very good. But there are too many lights in the room. There are about 10 to 15 spotlight and 10 to 15 lantern. The water pressure and temperature is very good. There are some small improvement need to be done. The shower area has no shelf to put shampoo or bath foam bottle. Have to put on the floor. The location is very hidden inside an alley, surrounded by other buildings. It is quite a distance to the ancient city south gate. About 10-15 mins. Have to walk an uphill slope when walking back to the hotel from the ancient city. Breakfast is very plain. Bread, Chinese bun, boiled egg, stir fry vege, plain porridge with preserve vege, noodle, black coffee, Breakfast is served in front of the lobby and next to the pond. There is two washing machine with dryer at the basement next to the carpark. Overall this is a very good hotel.

The courtyard is as beautiful as the photos! They give you coupons for a free pot of hot tea to enjoy in the courtyard as well as free costume rental (makeup and photos are addon $$). Quiet and serene. Close to the old town, less than 5 min walk. However the bathroom door cannot be locked and they do not seperate the wet and dry zones.

Absolutely stunning hotel. I loved my stay! Staff is nice and they sent me Information prior to check in. They also immediately added me on wechat, in case I have questions. I would recommend this hotel and would come back any time. The place is even better than in the pictures. It is in a quiet alley but close to the old town. Breakfast is good. Just beautiful !

Our room was not well cleaned. Hairs all over the place, in the bathroom, around the pilars and even on the table on the sofa. Very dusty. Even found fake eyelashes in the bathroom, that were not ours. When confronting the staff about these issues they were immediately willing to give us another room, upon taking us there and inspecting the room, we found again hairs in the bathroom of the new room. Despite the hygiene not being what it’s supposed to be, the guys at reception were very willing, informative and helpfull, they came to pick us up from the airport and helped us with our luggage. The potential is there, they just need to top up their cleaning game. The room and courtyard in itself are magical, the hygiene unfortunately isn’t.
