The hotel is in great location and the room has great view with a very comfortable bathroom layout (very spacious). The only thing is that the staff at check in and check out took our money. We booked 3 rooms in total and we paid in full at check in. Despite payment with credit card, the staff asked each of us to pay extra RMN1000 per room as a deposit in cash. At check out, no damage was found and they returned our deposit but all the 3 rooms only got RMB900 back. The staff could not speak English and even we could speak a little Chinese, the communication and the explanation is not understandable why we were deducted RMB100 per room total of RMB300 on top of the full payment. Other hotels will just block the credit card as deposit which is standard but when I asked if they can just use credit card that we paid to block the deposit, they said it could not be done. Moreover, when we paid RMB3000 deposit for 3 rooms, we counted RMB100 x30 to the staff. The staff took the money to another location saying they had to use the machine to count, then she came back saying there was only RMB2900. I guess she also took another RMB100 from the cash deposit. (Check in time was on April 10 at 10.30pm and check out time was on April 12 at 9.40am)

Honglongjing Hotel is a treasure hotel with excellent service. The waiter came to pick us up at the parking lot and arranged a relatively large room for us. In particular, there is a rooftop garden overlooking the ancient city of Dali. It is convenient to go to nearby attractions. It is very clean and has racks for drying clothes. The breakfast is not bad. There is a water bar with resident singers at night. Recommended to everyone.

The front reception staffs were very helpful and courteous. As we arrived early around 9.30am, we were offered breakfast while waiting for our room to be ready. The location is very convenient as it near the Dali Railway Station and also the bus station to take no 8 bus to Dali Ancient City.

Facilities: Bathtub, washing machine, smart toilet, overall good, disposable bath bags, laundry beads are also replenished every day. The only drawback is that the hot water is not hot enough on the first day of stay, the bath is getting colder and colder, maybe someone gave feedback on the second day and it was improved Holiday style afternoon tea: stayed for two days, no one asked if it was needed/when it was needed, and finally checked out without using it. Twin room, 2*1.35, this bed is really convenient for children. There is a parking lot for easy parking. There are many restaurants, small restaurants and convenience stores around the hotel, which are within walking distance. We drove here after getting off the plane in Kunming and stayed for one night. It is cost-effective, 259 yuan per night, and you can't ask for too much. The breakfast is not good, but it is filling. Sleep well and quiet.

We really enjoyed our short stay in the Linden Centre. Great location in the middle of rice field at the outer edge of the ancient village Xizhou. The staff did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. As the daily Center tour wasn’t available in English, the owner Brian jumped in and gave us a 20 minute introduction. We can highly recommend this place if you want to learn about the culture and be close to the beautiful nature at Erhai lake.

The butler provided exceptional service, reaching out a day in advance to arrange the check-in process and recommending local delicacies. The room views are breathtaking, with Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain stretching as far as the eye can see, while seagulls and wild ducks play on the water’s surface—a scene straight out of a painting. The room is fully equipped with all necessary amenities, including disposable items for convenience. The guesthouse also features a lakeside restaurant and picturesque photo spots, perfect for capturing memorable moments. If you’re visiting Dali, I highly recommend staying in Shuanglang for a few nights, and once in Shuanglang, don’t miss the chance to visit Tinghua Island for a different experience.

You can drive directly to the hotel entrance and parking is convenient. The room is about 30 square meters. , the lighting is very good, mainly because it has a large rooftop. In the morning, we watched the sunrise directly on the roof. I must recommend this to everyone.
