I came to Yunnan from Kunming all the way to Dali. This famous hotel is one of the best in Dali! Not only is the facilities complete, but the environment is very good and quiet, and the hygiene is super clean! The proprietress is also very good! When we arrived that day, we booked the wrong room type because of our own problems, and then the proprietress helped me change a room suitable for us without crowding, and it was free without our price difference!

這是整個雲南旅遊最喜歡的一家民宿。在出發前我看了好多酒店民宿，對大理海東和海西的民宿可以如數家珍的程度。其實本來沒有計劃在桃源村住的，但是無意間刷到這家，看了很多評論覺得挺不錯，就修改了一下我們的行程，結果是對的，非常舒服和滿意的一家民宿。
民宿對面就是洱海，因為在海西比較靠北的地方，人相對少很多，真的超級安靜，有種世外桃源的感覺。清晨拉開門簾，外面就是小庭院，陽光温温暖暖的，風清清涼涼的，坐在庭院的鞦韆上，整個人沐浴在陽光中，真的都不想走了。
房間很大，很乾凈，睡的很舒服。而且洗漱用品是這趟旅程中最齊全的，包括棉簽、卸粧棉、馬桶套這些都有。唯一可能有點不足的是廁所是單獨在一個小間，牆是石頭堆砌而成，有點原始？看着怪嚇人的，而且上方不是完全密閉的，上廁所會有點冷。但勝在乾淨又沒有味道。
早餐在二樓，非常舒適的用餐環境，而且水果、各種茶飲、咖啡都是自助的，非常大方和自助。主食是現做的，也非常豐富。二樓陽台就可以直接看洱海，在室內坐沙發上就可以發呆。真的超舒服。

The B&B is very quiet, and the overall design and environment really fit my aesthetic.
In the morning, you can watch the sunrise through the window. After breakfast, it feels so good to have a cup of coffee in the garden and overlook the city. There is sunshine and breeze.
You can see the stars at night, because it is located halfway up the mountain, so the stars are very bright, but it is not easy to take pictures. The room will be a little cold at first. Turn on the air conditioner for a while and it will warm up. There is an electric blanket that will not make you cold but will also get hot.
The merchants the hotel cooperates with can order barbecue, which is not expensive and quite delicious!

This homestay is worth living. The homestay is backed by Cangshan Mountain and the Erhai Lake. The roof on the fourth floor can watch the beautiful sunrise. It can shoot blockbuster movies in minutes. The location is quiet. It is also good to take a taxi at the door. It can be used by car or public transportation. Our trip is self-driving, parking is convenient, and I am very satisfied after check-in. Whether it is the decoration style of the homestay, the hardware facilities (the room has floor heating and air conditioning) and hygiene, or the rice noodles in the morning, I like it very much (personally feel better than eating outside, I don't know if I ate unauthentic food in the store outside 🤔) I originally booked for two nights at the beginning, and then stayed decisively for another night. In addition, the little brothers and sisters in the hotel are very enthusiastic. Every time they go out or play, they will greet them warmly. If necessary, they will recommend local delicious food. XXiiiiYThis is my second time in Dali. I highly recommend this B&B!!! It's so great! First of all, the service. They are very enthusiastic to help with the luggage. Whether you need something during the day or chopsticks in the early morning, you only need to send a WeChat. Your boyfriend won't reply you in seconds, but the girls and brothers at the front desk will definitely reply you in seconds! Let's talk about the facilities and environment. It's simply amazing. Lingxi and Yunxi on the fourth and fifth floors, one elevator per household. Who knows the feeling of Erhai Lake as soon as you open your eyes and open the door? Let me say secretly that the bathtub on the fourth floor is bigger than the one on the fifth floor. Haha. Finally, I must praise Saipan! It's so cute. I ordered a drink on the first floor in the afternoon and played with Saipan. There is a kind of life called Dali! I really recommend this B&B. Whether it's service or convenient facilities, it's really comparable to a five-star hotel (ps: Of course, if you are **, then just ignore what I said. I suggest you find the reason from yourself)

GGuest UserIt was completely beyond my expectations. The boss took the initiative to upgrade the room for me. I could see the sea by opening the window. The visual experience was great. The room was clean and tidy, with complete facilities, even equipped with a humidifier. I felt that the climate was a bit dry when I came to Yunnan. I stayed in many hotels during the week-long tour, and this hotel had the most complete facilities. The breakfast was rich in variety, the rice noodles were also well made, and the public spaces were also complete. There was a public space for viewing the sea on each floor, and a reading area was set up on the second floor. It was very suitable for leisure travel and vacation. At the same time, the transportation was also convenient. It was very close to Shuanglang Ancient Town, but not in the downtown area. The surroundings were very quiet, and it was also close to the main road, so it was convenient to take a taxi.

SS00001In all my years of solo traveling around China and other countries, I’ve never stayed at a homestay quite as enchanting as this one. The cleanliness isn’t just limited to the rooms, the entire place is spotless.
The location is perfect for a first-time visit to Dali, just a five-minute walk from the ancient city. Since it’s outside the ancient city, it’s close enough to explore on foot while still allowing easy access to cabs. The amenities were excellent, featuring a Xiaomi smart room ecosystem made my stay even more comfortable.
However, what truly stood out was the service. From the moment I arrived, the 三个帅哥 and 美女 running the homestay made me feel incredibly welcome. They offered me an upgrade to the best room available, took the time to propose an itinerary based on my stay duration, introduced me to the adorable homestay pets (two dogs and a cat), and warmly invited me to spend time with them whenever I wanted (a small but meaningful gesture when you’re far from home and solo traveling).
Their hospitality extended beyond just conversations and recommendations. As the weather turned cold during my stay, they prepared ginger soup one evening for the guests, which seemed to me a very thoughtful touch. They also offer afternoon tea with waffles, fruit, and flower pastries until 5pm.
I’m super grateful for their kindness and service, and I really hope to return in the future :)

The kitchen, in particular, is well-equipped, making it a great option for families or groups of friends planning to cook and enjoy meals together. However, if you're simply traveling for leisure and don't plan to spend much time at the homestay, you may find the kitchen unnecessary. One thing to note is that there is no central air conditioning or heating system. The homestay provides a bed warmer (which works well) and a small air-conditioning unit in the living room, but the bedrooms can get quite chilly at night, especially during winter. It's something to consider if you're visiting during colder months. In terms of location, this homestay is ideal if you're looking to unwind in a quiet and restful environment. However, for those planning a busy schedule with visits to Dali's main attractions, the distance might be a drawback. The homestay is located in a residential area, and getting to most tourist spots can take 45-60 minutes by car, whether you're heading to the west or east side of Erhai Lake. There are also no nearby F&B stores except one small restaurant in the building next door so make sure you eat in the city areas before coming back to the inn. That said, if you're staying for a longer duration and prefer a relaxed, free-and-easy itinerary, this could be a suitable choice given its amenities like the kitchen and laundry facilities. It's also worth mentioning that this homestay feels more like an Airbnb than a traditional inn. It's situated in a residential building, with the entrance being a carpark and access through an elevator to a residential unit. There’s no lobby, service counter, or common areas. Instead, check-in and assistance are handled through WeChat. Despite some of the drawbacks, the service here truly stood out. The staff member assisting us was incredibly kind, prompt, and accommodating. Whenever we had questions or faced minor issues, she responded quickly and made every effort to resolve them, which helped make our trip smoother. Her attentiveness and helpfulness were a highlight of our stay and left a positive impression. While this homestay may not have been our favorite, the excellent service and peaceful setting make it a decent choice for travelers prioritizing quiet and self-sufficiency over convenience and luxury.

AAllen HaimingJust spent a wonderful five nights at the Anyu Hotel in Dali in November, this beautifully appointed boutique hotel was so charming. From the warm lights, to the rich hardwood floors, ceilings, and furniture to all the thoughtful accents in the room and common areas, it felt like a charming and cozy home away from home.
Hotel location is fantastic, just steps away from the Dali Ancient Town, so everything from cafes, top restaurants, pharmacies, markets, bars, and hundreds of other stores and outdoor vendors are just a 2-10 minute walk away, no need to sit in traffic or call a car to get around.
Bed and pillows very comfortable, showerhead very powerful so makes for a very luxurious shower.
However, the best thing about the hotel is their warm and caring staff.
Nancy, one of the cleaning staff, was always super helpful and attentive and delightful to chat with, and was also kind enough to give us some great recommendations on places to visit which we ended up enjoying very much.
Anna was also very nice to interact with, her gentle and pleasant demeanor and thoughtful words always made it a pleasure to see her.
Candy was wonderful as well, always making sure we were attended to and ended up making some great recommendations on places to eat nearby. Her warm smile and kind demeanor will be remembered.
Finally, it was Vivian who we owe a deep debt of gratitude to. On the first day, my 84-year old Mom came down with an illness which included all sorts of symptoms. Vivian went out of her way to call a car and she accompanied us to the nearest hospital where she helped us fill out all the necessary paperwork and stayed by Mom's side for over an hour as we waited to see a doctor. Medication was prescribed and she called another car to take us back to the hotel while she went to a nearby pharmacy to pick up the medication for us which she then brought back to the hotel. By then it was well into the night and she had even taken us to the hospital when she was already off work, so this was all on her own time.
My Mom ended up making a recovery in large part to Vivian's quick and incredibly kind actions. She really went above and beyond and we are just so grateful to her and Anyu Hotel for helping to save my Mom.
Vivian was also an absolute pleasure to talk to as she always came over to greet us and chat everyday during our stay. Her warm smile, cheerful disposition, and charismatic yet humble personality always made every interaction a real pleasure. The hospitality we experienced from her will never be forgotten and feel very fortunate to have met someone with such a kind heart and also very high EQ and dedication. We know if we had stayed at a different hotel there is no way we would have experienced this level of hospitality so we are deeply appreciative for Vivian and the entire staff at Anyu for making our trip one that won't be forgotten.

On the day I arrived, my luggage was broken. He was able to advise me where I could buy a new one, and he also took care of my luggage and brought it to my room when the room was ready. He always informed me and took good care of me.
The other staffs were also very helpful. They are able to communicate with me well, and provided other services, such as breakfast, called a taxi to my destination, opened and shut the car's door for me. It showed a lot of care.
I was very impressed. If I come to visit here again, I will definitely choose Pullman Hotel.

JJonathanHad a wonderful 3 nights here. The well-designed property offers a calm respite from the buzz of the streets outside. We had a room on the second level that let good sunlight in during the days, allowing us to sit by the huge window for tea. Though the toilet and shower was a little small, the stone bathtub was huge. Room was clean & had all basic amenities one would expect. We loved the Coco-mat pillows. The breakfast was a highlight every morning, offering varied & healthy options. Coffee was good too. They served complimentary night desserts/snacks. They didn’t have many staff but service was good and prompt, always ready to offer tips & advice whenever needed. This included texting them via WeChat anytime you needed something. When the caretaker lady found out that we were heading to the other JiXiaShan properties after Dali, she took the initiative to inform them about our pending arrival & asked that we be accorded good hospitality. She also helped to link up with the Dida driver when we needed to arrange the transport between cities. We didn’t miss Dali Ancient City that much, but we sure miss this wonderful property, and we won’t hesitate to stay here again if we were to pass by this way.

TT.W.LBooked the family room at courtyard level as I had elderly and wanted an accommodation which is easy to access. I also did not want to be hoisting luggages up and down and over cobbled streets in the old town and somewhere along the city wall so it is easy to start our tour of the sights around Dali in the morning.
Room: Simple efficient clean layout with open concept. Rooms are relatively new. Sink area is located outside the bathroom which is good. The beds are hard in my opinion but elder felt the bed was comfortable. Bottled water was provided everyday (left outside our door). Room Temperature control was ok and the hot water for the shower heated up quick and could maintain at a stable level which is a plus unlike some other hotels in Yunnan.
There is flight of 3-4 steps to room which is manageable for our elder as the room is slightly raised above the courtyard. We had an early check-in as the room was ready. The staff helped us move the luggages to our room. You could also book the entire courtyard for larger groups. The owner is building additional new rooms in the annex but the construction happens during the day and it is not noisy as most guests would be out.
Location:
It is near the South Gate (there is a local market nearby check the maps or ask the owner) and our local driver could stop right outside our accommodation.
We didn’t get breakfast from the bnb as there were food shops offering noodles, congee and fried dumplings around that open early at 7am. You can also make your way to the local market near the gate. You could also go up the South Gate for free to catch the sunrise or sunset view.
Touring around Dali
If you can comms in Chinese, you could message the owner ahead to assist to arrange for a car transfer from Dali Fengyi Airport or the Dali Railway station to the BnB. It cost RMB50 for us from the Railway station to the BnB. You could also arrange with him for a day driver to take you around the sight seeing places around Dali /Erhai Lake, Mt Cang or a driver to send you to Lijiang. We felt was more efficient and relaxing with an elder. It took ~3h drive instead of travelling south to the Dali train station to ride the train to Lijiang and finding a cab from Lijiang railway to the old Lijiang ancient city.
You could also easily catch a Didi or a cab which could be cheaper. A cab/car ride to the 3 Chong Sen Temple pagodas was about 10rmb for 3-4pax which is comparable to waiting for Bus 4 which cost 3rmb per pax.
