"I was initially in a dilemma about whether to stay here or not, but looking back, it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my trip! After carefully planning the journey, getting there was actually quite straightforward. For those coming from Hohhot, here's the route I took: 1. Take a train from Hohhot to Dalate West Station. 2. Take a Didi from Dalate West Station to Huailian Tourism Resort Reception Center (about 40 minutes, around CNY50). 3. Purchase rm176 of the Whistling Dune Bay package ticket, which includes admission, cable car, Yuesha Island access, and a camel ride. 4. Resort guests have access to a special lane for the cable car, which takes about 8 minutes. 5. Upon arrival, take the resort jeep transfer to the accommodation area. 6. Enjoy activities such as sand sliding, swimming in the pool, stargazing, and simply experiencing the peaceful desert atmosphere at night. 7. After checkout, take the jeep transfer to the mini desert train, followed by the duck car ride, before returning via cable car. 8. It can be difficult to get a Didi from the resort reception area, but the staff kindly helped arrange a taxi back to Dalate West Station for around CNY50. 9. Continue the journey from Dalate West Station to Ordos. What impressed me most was the hospitality. From the WeChat communication before arrival to the reception team and resort staff, everyone was incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The night experience was truly spectacular. The desert becomes so peaceful after sunset — all you can hear is the sound of the sand, while above you is a sky filled with countless stars and a beautiful moon. It was one of the most memorable moments of my trip. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique desert stay and unforgettable experience!"

There's air conditioning, an electric kettle, outlets (of all shapes and sizes), and a bathroom with hot water. Think of it as a kind of desert glamping. After meeting the staff, you'll be taken by pickup truck to your ger nestled in the remote desert."

"Overall, the Shansha Hotel offers a very good experience. The room design is full of sci-fi fantasy, making it particularly suitable for families with children. The staff in the hotel's kids' area are patient and attentive, actively guiding children in their play, which significantly enhances the family-friendly experience. The hotel is a bit on the smaller side with somewhat limited space, but the layout is compact and efficient, making it very convenient to access all functional areas. This actually works out as an advantage when traveling with kids, as you don't have to walk long distances. However, there are three minor drawbacks: 1. The dining quality significantly lags behind that of the Lotus Hotel. I suggest the hotel upgrade its meal standards. Adjusting room rates or dining prices accordingly would be feasible. For guests, the core appeal is the vacation experience, and improved dining would greatly boost overall reputation. 2. While the pool looks impressive, the water temperature is too low. Even with an outdoor temperature of 38℃ on that day, the pool water was still freezing cold, making it impossible to swim. This was a significant disappointment compared to expectations. 3. During my stay, there was a minor issue with room cleaning. Thankfully, the hotel, in coordination with Trip.com, resolved it efficiently and properly. Both the resolution process and the final outcome were very satisfactory. Compared to similar hotels in the Desert region, the Shansha Hotel is generally recommendable. Its unique, futuristic architecture resembles an interstellar island in the desert, making it a top choice for families with children."

I just asked the service staff which one was based on. He said their kitchen aunt got up at 3:00 in the morning to make breakfast. Why can't the guests understand their aunt's hard work? I don’t understand why he was so angry with us before we checked in. 2, booked a parent-child room, 10:30 pm washing found the hotel no children's toothbrush, called the front desk to send down, the front desk deep sigh made me think I was wrong. When I opened the door to collect my toothbrush, I felt that the front desk guy's eyes wanted to **. There is no tissue in the toilet behind, so I dare not call to ask for it, for fear of something happening. 3, around 10 pm found the quilt a bit thick, called to only the quilt cover to sleep. The front desk reluctantly gave you a quilt cover, saying that you don't want me to give you a dirty quilt cover either. Inexplicable! Early style in general, is the standard of homestay, acceptable. What is unacceptable is that when we had breakfast in their dishwashing room, we found that they didn’t use detergent or anything like washing the dishes. They just washed the chopsticks and plates with clean water, and then continued to use them,🌚🌚 Roads are under construction near the hotel, making it inconvenient to drive in and out of the hotel. Advantages In this small county town the decoration style of the room is still relatively refreshing, the room is relatively clean."
