Fantastic place to stay. Brilliant location with easy access to Cape Tribulation. Beautiful setting right in the middle of the rainforest. One of the most unique stays with the benefit of being able to hear the sounds of the rainforest right in your room. The staff were super friendly and gave really helpful advice about things to do in the area. Would highly recommend

The lodge was extremely dirty and full of bugs. The pictures on website seems photoshopped. The real condition of the room seems to be a motel rather than a 4-starred hotel

My stay at Daintree was phenomenal. The lodges are truly in the middle of the rainforest, with the wildlife coming alive at night. The restaurant food is excellent and locally sourced. The staff is one of the friendliest, hard working and most accomodating I have ever met. Rob, the manager, goes above and beyond to make sure everything is to your liking. I took the nature walk with Emma and her knowledge and friendliness made it a highlight. The spa was also excellent, with a very "homey" feeling and excellent treatments. Finally, the entire staff is there to make the stay enjoyable with everyone from housekeeping to waiters there for you. Couldn't recommend enough.

Loved the location, had 2 walking paths from property right into rainforest. Clean spacious quiet room, the screened in porch was my favourite part. Did not really enjoy the restaurant- food was not that good for the price. Got the steak and it was very grisly. The hotel bar in Daintree village is the place to go eat- they had excellent food! The restaurant was also absolutely covered in spiders because it’s outside so would have liked to see some maintenance done regarding that issue. Just dust the webs off every day or 2 and that would be better. Didn’t feel very comfortable dining. That was the only bad part, everything else was excellent

This place is truly amazing. As you drive in to what feels like the centre of a mini rainforest you are greeted by wonderful staff who can’t do enough for you. The rooms, set up high, make you feel like you’re the only ones there, with nature. Do walk around the property as it’s fabulous. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

The room was gorgeous. We stayed in the Rainforest Hideaway which comes with the balcony bathtub that overlooks the rainforest. This was an extra special touch, the bath itself was large and comfortable and it was raining while we were there so it was like being immersed in a beautiful soundscape. The room had all the amenities you would want (tea, coffee, wi-fi, robes and slippers etc). The staff were absolutely lovely throughout our stay and the food was beautiful. The ecolodge is incredibly romantic and the restaurant overlooks a body of water that attracts many of the forest residents including a chorus of frogs. I can't tell you how much we loved it here, but we left feeling so relaxed and very much in love with the experience. Can not wait to come back again.

Contrary to other reviews we've seen, the Ecolodge is NOT "tired" in any way. It's beautiful. Our rainforest bungalow was beautifully provisioned, clean, and idyllic. Everything is modern, especially the bathroom, and the bed was divine. The central areas of the Ecolodge are stylish and comfortable. The staff are absolutely next level amazing, as is the food! We did the 6 course degustation on our second night and the food was absolutely *to die for*. In fact, all the food was delicious and well-presented, even on the regular menu, and the included breakfasts were exceptional. I'm glad we only stayed 3 nights though... wouldn't stay longer, as there is not all that much to do unless you're keen on significant driving. Our only slight complaint is that the "gym" (if you can call it that!) is tiny and only has one cycle and a selection of handweights. Unfortunately my biggest "issue" isn't really the fault of the Ecolodge... but it needs to be said nonetheless. A HUGE party of about 10 adults and 10 young children turned up on our last night and morning. I'm surprised that the Ecolodge isn't billed as an adult retreat as everything about it isn't really geared towards families. The dining deck should be a place of candlelit calm and romance beside the lagoon, but... on our last night, and last breakfast, that was shattered. At dinner, all the adults sat together and the kids all at one table unsupervised. They were getting up and down, running around the tables to their parents. etc. We took our dessert to our room. In the morning, it was worse. We delayed our breakfast until the latest possible time to be finished before checkout, thinking the group will have already had breakfast. Well, essentially they had finished, but that didn't stop the adults sitting at the tables drinking coffee and talking loudly throughout our whole breakfast, with their children running in and out, playing games on the floor, even skating around the tables in their wheelie shoes, crying, screaming etc. The parents were completely tone deaf to the few couples like us who were trying to enjoy a peaceful rainforest breakfast. I can't believe they just continued to sit there as if the dining deck is an all-day play area. It was completely selfish. While I know this is not the Ecolodge's fault, perhaps there needs to be some counselling of such large groups in advance. Or give them a separate dining window and warn the other guests.

Stayed in a king room amongst the rainforest. The room was comfortable but warm when we first arrived. I feel that the ac could have been turned on prior to arrival. Food was good although not consistent. The first night dinner was ok but the second night was stellar. The staff were excellent and we also went on a tour of the grounds with an excellent guide. The grounds are astounding. The first night the mosquitos were awful and dining was outside so we had to move. This is to be expected in a tropical rainforest and goes with the territory. There are also a huge amount of steps so not for those who have mobility issues. I think I expected a bit more luxury but nonetheless less the stay was great. The swimming pool was being renovated and not ready a slight disappointment but not a complaint as renovations are to be expected.
