We stayed for one night as we were visiting Whipsnade zoo as a family trip. Having stayed at this hotel a couple of times before over the years we were looking forward to our stay but upon arrival at the hotel the greeting from the lady on reception was incredibly rude and unfriendly and felt like we were inconveniencing her. As we were being checked in I asked if our two rooms were together being one double and one twin room, as I had previously emailed the hotel requesting this as our teenage daughters were in the twin room. I was told this was not possible and the twin room was along the same corridor, I guess I shouldn't have been surprised as the hotel hadn't even had the decency to reply to my email. The rooms were ok but felt like they could have been alot cleaner particularly the floors and the bed sheets on the double bed were stained! Our meals at the adjoining pub ' The Horse and Jockey ' were very nice with a friendly welcoming service and good food and drink which we all enjoyed! Unfortunately I wouldn't want to stay at this hotel again and think that it now appears more suitable for travelling tradesmen judging by all the vans in the car park and all the the self closing hotel doors crashing shut from 6am onwards.....this didn't particularly feel like a family hotel !

Great hotel, very clean throughout, staff were very welcoming we will definitely revisit when next in the area. It was only a very short drive to Whipsnade zoo. So I would recommend doing that in the area it is a great great great zoo. Was very impressed

I am currently staying at this hotel, booked for Friday to Sunday It’s the worst experience ever. There is no hot water in the shower. Came back after a long day at 10pm. Wanted to have a nice warm/hot shower and go to bed as I have a very busy day ahead. Turn on the shower, ran the water for 20 mins still no hot water, the person at the reception desk don’t know the hotel, I was told by him he doesn’t usually work there, so he don’t know anything. I paid for half board, breakfast and dinner. Got back to the hire and was told the pub were meals are served is closed, so no food available. The duvet had lots of stain. I don’t think I want to stay another night. I have stayed at Priemier inn before but never experienced any thing like this. I hope the head office get in touch,

We were so tired on 12th Feb February and went straight to bed after a long drive from Sheffield. But this morning, after we came back from breakfast, my wife was going to make the bed and saw this hair. I did find some hair last night in the bathroom part between the toilet and the wall used to think much and cleaned before my family used the bathroom (this is what we usually do before using a bathroom in any hotel). However, when I saw this 13th feb mornning, I was so shocked and my wife was in utter disgust. She said she cannot shake the feeling that she felt numb.Our 2 daughters, who are 7 and 5, were in this bed. I am sure you understand what we're feeling......

If I could rate a zero I would. Racist night team member who tried to intimidate guests until he was challenged about his poor behaviour and then tried to act a victim . Rude, obnoxious and refused to provide his name. Gave me his managers name of Donna though! The room was set up well and spacious. Car park leaves a lot to be desired. There are potholes everywhere and the entrance is poorly lit. The hotel rooms are okay it’s just a shame about the staff!

Beautiful location where this hotel Is right in the countryside. Check in was very smooth with the staff being very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are brand new rooms which are amazing so comfortable and big with all the essentials included loved the big rainfall shower. This premier inn has a pub attached to the hotel food very good and desserts lovely. Very good choices of soft drinks and cocktails.
