Hotel Bintang 4 Da Nang Quan Ngu Hanh Son

I’ve stayed in many hostels and hotels across Vietnam and around the world, but this has to be one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Let me start with the positives: the room was spacious, but unfortunately, that’s where the good news ends. The cleanliness was highly questionable. The sheets were stained, and I couldn’t help but doubt if they’d been washed at all. As a solo traveler, I was given a twin room, which provided the option of using two beds. However, both beds were equally dirty, leaving me with no decent option. The bathroom, while visually appealing, was let down by the subpar toiletries. The shampoo smelled like an overpowering, generic men’s product, more suited to a budget gym locker room than a guest accommodation. A neutral scent would have been far more appropriate. Additionally, there was no hairdryer in the room—a real inconvenience if you have long hair like mine. The provided slippers were oversized, clearly designed for men, adding another layer of frustration. While I was glad to have a TV, it was nearly unusable. The YouTube app, which was a primary reason I booked the room, wouldn’t connect, and the TV itself was slow and difficult to operate. All in all, what should have been a relaxing stay was riddled with small but cumulative annoyances. The worst part, however, was leaving the room and heading to the dining hall. Breakfast was a major disappointment. The options were overwhelmingly carb-heavy and catered mainly to Vietnamese tastes, with dishes like rice, noodles, and curry. For a hostel that presumably caters to international guests, it’s baffling that the breakfast options were so limited and unappealing to a Western palate. The dining hall was also overcrowded, with too many guests at once, including children playing on phones at full volume—a noisy and stressful way to start the day. Service was inconsistent and, at times, awkward. On one occasion, a staff member greeted me with “Namaste,” assuming I was Indian, which left me taken aback. Some staff were better trained than others, but the overall experience was far from smooth. For instance, I ordered sunny-side-up eggs one morning, which were available, but the next day, I was told they weren’t offered and was given overly greasy fried eggs instead. This lack of consistency and the apparent lack of training among the staff were glaring issues. The dining hall itself was uncomfortably hot, making meals even less enjoyable. Tissue was nowhere to be found, adding to the overall discomfort. I chose this place partly because of its location, which is conveniently close to many bars, cafés, and the beach. However, it was also advertised as soundproof, which couldn’t be further from the truth. The constant noise from other guests, particularly children playing with the doorbells and loud voices at all hours, meant I never had a peaceful night’s sleep. Being woken up between 3 to 6 am became a daily occurrence, and it left me exhausted and frustrated. In conclusion, this hostel was far from worth the premium price. The service, quality, and overall experience fell drastically short of expectations. Here I am, still in my room with blood stained sheets, on the verge of booking another place because I simply cannot stay here any longer. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

The service at Fivitel King in Da Nang is seamless. The staff from the reception area, catering and cleaning are all so friendly and will always acknowledge you. The roof top bar with its panoramic views and the two pools is simply a great place to make friends or spend time out and recover from the sightseeing in Da Nang.  The rooms are comfortable and equipped with all  a traveller would need.  The breakfasts provide a wide variety of Asian and western foods. Again the staff are on the ball and so very helpful. 

The Hotel is very nice! Near the beach. It got infinite pool facing the beach. The staff friendly and helpful. The room is clean, they change the towel and all amenities everyday. The room include breakfast, during my 3 nights stay there’s none of their food fails me, really delicious. Will be coming here again in the future ❤️❤️

A Perfect Oceanfront Getaway! 🌊🛁 I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel and had an unforgettable experience. We booked a room for four with an ocean view, and it exceeded all our expectations. The room was spacious and beautifully designed, with all-glass windows that offered a breathtaking view of the ocean. One of the highlights was the bathtub in the bedroom. It was such a unique feature, allowing us to enjoy a warm bubble bath while gazing out at the serene ocean. The combination of the soothing bath and the stunning view made for a truly relaxing and luxurious experience. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The amenities were top-notch, and the overall ambiance of the hotel was perfect for a peaceful getaway. We were also fortunate to witness some beautiful sunsets from our room, which added to the magic of our stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and natural beauty. Can't wait to return!

Alani Hotel has made our stay at DaNang Vietnam comfortable and incredibly welcoming. Our room and the hotel's facilities are neat and well-kept, which further improves the experience. Most importantly, however, is the wonderful staff that looked after us during our stay. Receptionists Helen and Steffie and bellboy Tin were incredibly helpful, and tasks were easy with their assistance. Lisa and Daisy from the restaurant were patient and understanding as my family nearly always ended up late to breakfast. Overall, our stay at Alani Hotel was more than satisfactory.

Good hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful specifically at the breakfast. The rooms were nice and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was nice with many varieties and didn't feel rushed. Also many restaurants and cafés and bakeries. The beach is also a few minutes walking distance so very convenient with a child. Overall the hotel was decent for the price I can't complain.

We were upgraded the room upon checkin to a 'suite' room. It was larger than what we booked with large windows. The bathroom was large, with a shower over the bath (no screen or curtain). The bed was very comfortable, and the WiFi was incredibly fast! Unfortunately, we struggled to sleep from the noise outside. We had to go buy earplugs to get a decent sleep on the 2nd night. We didn't rate the breakfast, mainly Asian so not exactly our taste. You could get fried eggs and toast which was fine, we skipped it for our 2nd morning. The pool has a great view, but needed cleaning.

The hotel's breakfast is exceptional, and I can't fault them in that regard. However, the furniture requires better maintenance, and the cleanliness of the units could be improved. The lack of a dedicated concierge was inconvenient, as I had to handle my luggage independently. Although the staff eventually assisted me, they could have been more proactive in providing assistance to guests. Due to unforeseen circumstances, my bus was delayed to the hotel. I contacted the hotel to request either a one-day postponement of my booking or a cancellation, but both requests were denied. Consequently, I forfeited a fully paid day of my reservation. I believe the hotel could have demonstrated greater flexibility and understanding in this situation rather than prioritizing financial gain. During my stay, my daughter's birthday occurred, and I kindly requested the staff to simply assemble and sing ”Happy Birthday” to her, which would have taken a mere two minutes. Despite their initial agreement, they failed to fulfill this request. Overall, based on these experiences, I am unlikely to return to this hotel in the future.

Check in is 2pm, not 10am as stated on the trip.com itinerary. Why did they ask to see my reservation after I gave them my passport? Is there no database linking that information? It seems that my room was not renovated in 2023 as claimed on trip.com...it felt more like a 2016 room. Whilst the room was clean, the shower pressure was lacking and temperature was difficult to get right. There was a drainage smell coming from the drain. Breakfast was ok but not like the photos 😏 The dining room chair cushions could do with a clean. The gym is good and the pool looks great although I didn't swim. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The Avatar Danang hotel is located in close proximity of many bars, restaurants and coffee shops. It’s only a 2 minute walk to the beach which is ideal for beach goers. The hotel itself is a a well maintained hotel which offer spa facilities and an outdoor pool. The rooms are spacious and offer views over the city or ocean. If you’re looking for somewhere that’s not too expensive, but offers a friendly and well presented hotel, then this is a great choice.
