Avoid this hôtel
From the moment I arrived, the hotel tried to charge me more than the price confirmed in my reservation. I refused to pay anything above the booked rate and had to insist before they finally accepted the correct amount. They then pretended they were giving me a “discount,” when in reality they were simply charging the original reservation price.
They also attempted to charge inconsistent and excessive credit card fees (first 7%, then 5% after I challenged them). Because of this, I paid in cash. Even then, it was extremely difficult to obtain a receipt or proof of payment.
Another major issue: during my 5-night stay, my room was never cleaned unless I specifically asked. This is not the standard you would expect from a hotel.
The worst part happened on my last day. While packing my luggage, I realized that one of my souvenir bags was missing. The staff had simply thrown it away. Although the hotel agreed to reimburse me for the estimated value of the lost items, money will never replace the souvenirs I brought back from my trip. This level of negligence is simply unacceptable.
Between the attempted overcharging, unreasonable payment fees, the difficulty obtaining proof of payment, the lack of housekeeping, and the loss of my belongings, this was a terrible experience.
I strongly recommend staying somewhere else.
