Corner House

My wife and I went back to our wonderful hosts and beautiful cottage guest house. I have to say the corner house just gets better, the room once again was wonderful, spotlessly clean and exceptionally well appointed. Breakfast was delicious and the choice of menu was vast catering for everyone and their different diets. We booked dinner with our hosts for our three nights stay which consists of three courses at wonderful value. The quality served was not short of restaurant quality. The cottage garden is as beautiful as before ( so much work ) . To sum up, if staying in the area please don't miss an opportunity to relax, eat so well and have hosts that nothing is of any trouble. You will not be disappointed. Thank you both very much for making our stay once again so memorable in the Corner house.

Situated well off the beaten track, the Corner House is the most delightful cottage set within its own beautifully kept gardens. Inside, the rooms have a unique, homely charm - the sort of place you can't wait to get back to! Everything is truly immaculate, and it is evident that Martyn and Marina take immense pride in exceeding their guests expectations. Greeted with tea, and homemade cake, upon arrival; you just know this is a special place. Breakfast consists of pretty much whatever you want, and most of it (thanks to Marina) is home made! We were down for a nearby Wedding but have every intention of staying again, and exploring the sights nearby - Martyn can fill your day with recommendations! Thanks for a lovely stay, and for your exquisite hospitality!

The Corner House is a rare jewel and Martyn and Marina perfect hosts. We were fortunate to stay in the luxurious and intimate Shepherd's Hut, and woke to a chorus of birdsong. Breakfast proved sumptuous and set us up for a day discovering the Gertrude Jekyll designed gardens at Barrington Court. Montacute House too is close by, Tintinhull only a few minutes drive and we strolled along the lane to the 12th century St Michael's Church in the village. Somerset is beautiful, this B&B even more so and I loved our stay. We will be back.

We booked on the spur of the moment and are so glad we did. This is a fabulous B & B run by a super interesting and friendly couple who have paid attention to every tiny detail and are great hosts. We were very happy in our cosy blue room, lovely bedlinen and a very comfortable bed. The garden is outrageously pretty, a carpet of primroses to the front of the cottage at the moment. We loved the home cooked meal which was very generous in terms of portions, you don't get offered seconds in a pub!! Breakfast equally good and a real treat to have such attentive service. Martyn & Marina have the balance just right. The Shepherd's Hut is beautifully fitted out & well worth considering too.

The room was large , clean and comfortable . The cottage very quaint and lovely gardens After reading the reviews expected the breakfast to be outstanding it was ok . We didn't have a key to our room which is usual . Probably would not stay again.

Stayed two night in this quintessentially English cottage. The hosts are charming and willing to go the extra mile. Everything Is spotlessly clean and our bedroom very spacious. The bathroom immaculate and comfortable. Breakfast was a five star treat. It was a quiet and restful break in a beautiful setting. .
