The Manor Hotel

I'm so sorry to have to write this . But I feel you must be told . The photos you advertise are not true to date They where many years ago but certain now. We have been loyal customer for years & years and loved all the functions etc . But the last few visits have been really poor . What has happened ?? It is totally run down and gone to look cheap and tacky ,very poor . no table clothes sticky tables ,cheap plastic table mats, No heating freezing cold . Food was very average /poor atmosphere just grime & no staff on hardly . Not to mention the pool /sauna just shut it down. Never felt so depressed it's nothing relaxing about it. No heating freezing cold green water . Nothing works . No hot water . No lights Filthy changing facilities. You can't advertise these photos and produce this rubbish it's false advertisement . Absolutely saddens me to say after all theses years I think it's time we parted . Unless the owners invest a lot of good taste & class back in to a once beautiful venue then I'm afraid I can't see this venue being open much longer .

Wow! What an amazing place.. I went here with a couple of friends as we had been at Christmas and throughly enjoyed ourselves then..the food was delicious with lots of choice, my friend is a vegetarian and she loved her choices..we used the gym facilities, and our rooms were beautiful, clean , warm and plenty of facilities. The staff where amazing again, especially the managers Suzanne and Charlotte, and a big shout out to the chef who catered for my friends gluten intolerance. The views are amazing, my dogs loved it, especially the walks around the grounds. We have already rebooked for our spring get together, can't wait... Thank you all at the Manor for making our stay enjoyable and special once again. See you soon. ❤️

Had a Sunday roast at the Manor Hotel – not bad for the price! The food was tasty enough, though maybe could've been a touch hotter. Service was a bit slow, but nothing too major. All in all, a nice, affordable lunch and I'd probably go back if I wanted something easy and budget-friendly.

Room was spotless, please thank the housekeeping staff. Not so clen downstairs, tables at breakfast were sticky and had crumbs over the table, carpets/rugs needed a good hoover. I spoke to whom, I presume, was in charge on the night of the 26th to tell them that our t.v only had 2 channels, only to be told it was because of the weather and that the night before they didn't have any channels. Was then told "oh well 2 channels are better than none"!!!! My husband looked at the aerial socket and found it loose. Repaired it and it was perfect. So much for the weather 🙄 But we did have a lovely stay

Warm welcome from receptionist and efficient check-in. Period features were cool. Place seemed clean. Didn't notice any cobwebs or dust. Got Room 4. Looks like room has been updated throughout. Adjacent rooms with low numbers all had same style of updated door, so assume may all have been updated. Great view across valley when not foggy. Large hot radiator with thermostat and windows that open. No air con. Had dinner on first night. Mine was very delicious and service was great. Starter was supposed to be Chicken Liver Pate. What I believe I got was a Ham Hock Terrine. I was OK with that but others may not have been. Second course had the Steak Frites. Asked for medium and it came perfect for me. My other half is veggie. Not much choice for her and in fact the Rich Raghu in her Legumes dish was too rich for her taste and she couldn't finish it. Breakfast has cereals, juice etc. and coffee you can help yourself to. On our second morning also teapots, tea and hot water. If you would like freshly cooked items from the menu then I recommend you allow about an hour for breakfast as they took at least 30 minutes after ordering to arrive. Very nice though with runny yoke poached and fried eggs, and I prefer the wait to having the stuff left under hot lamps for ages on a buffet. Other half used pool and spa which was included in price for us as guests. She said the facilities such as changing rooms looked a little old and tired but all clean.

We cannot thank The Manor Hotel enough for turning our disastrous trip around! After a terrible experience with another provider, The Manor came to the rescue and provided us with an exceptional stay. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, festive atmosphere, beautifully decorated with Christmas trees in the hallway, which instantly made us feel welcome. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making sure all our needs were met. A special thanks to the assistant manager, Suzanne, who went above and beyond to assist us. Not only did she arrange a room for us at short notice, but she also booked a taxi to and from the wedding we were attending – her effort made a huge difference. After a long drive, we were able to enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant before heading to our room. The food was absolutely fantastic, and the staff ensured we were well looked after. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a well-presented en-suite. It was warm and comfortable, exactly what we needed after a stressful start to our trip. The breakfast the next morning was just as impressive, providing a perfect end to our stay. Thanks to the wonderful team at The Manor, what began as a disastrous trip became a truly memorable and pleasant experience. We will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. A huge thank you to everyone at The Manor Hotel, especially Suzanne – you made our stay in Wales unforgettable!
