Hotel Walser Courmayeur

We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of August prior to a UTMB event. The hotel was a short walk from the town and only a 2 minute walk if arriving by bus. The good bits. Staff were super friendly and would go out of their way to accommodate you. The aperitivo between 5pm and 8pm was a lovely touch and much better than most of the nearby bars…and free (not subsidised through drinks prices). The highlight for this hotel was the garden area, which was a nice place to chill out before going out for dinner or for a drink at the end of the night. Never too busy, but a nice vibe and good background music. Drinks were reasonably priced. Rooms were clean, tidy and a decent size. Shower pressure was good. Things to note. Our room was at the front of the property overlooking the dual carriageway. We knew this beforehand but it was 24° (felt hotter) and stuffy when we stayed. With no air-con, we had to sleep with the windows open and the traffic noise was a pain on some nights, although the hotel do provide ear plugs. Rooms would benefit from being modernised. The breakfast was average at best. Overall, we feel the hotel deserves 5 stars based on relative value for the area and its 3 star status. There are two ‘5 star’ hotels in town but having visited both… not sure either are worth paying the extra for.

This hotel is in a convenient location to town, near to the bus station. Our room was well appointed, clean and the breakfast was substantial. Staff were very helpful. It is close to an overpass but not noisy. Would recommend for a short stay.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Walser. My room was ready right when I arrived, which was most welcome after a long overseas trip. The room was extremely clean and comfortable with a nice balcony. The staff was warm, helpful, and friendly. I also enjoyed the breakfast. The location is great - very close to everything you need yet still very quiet. I look forward to staying at Hotel Walser again!

We stayed at Hotel Walser while we visited Courmayeur for the Gran Trail Courmayeur 2022. Good food and coffee and a very cosy mood in the beautiful surroundings. The hotel is filled with little funny detailsalg and stuff from the Aosta Valley. The staff is very attentative and smiling. We will definitely be coming back.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel per due notti con nostra figlia piccola. Abbiamo prenotato perché le recensioni erano più che buone e sembrava offrire buoni servizi. Purtroppo ci siamo dovuti ricredere. Camera di dimensioni adeguate ma con mobilio troppo vecchio e letto scomodo. Assenza di un fasciatoio per poter cambiare la bambina. Ci siamo dovuti arrangiare a cambiarla sul letto. Tasto molto dolente il bagno con il lavandino che si otturava ogni volta che si apriva l’acqua. Nessun punto di appoggio in bagno se non una mini mensola su cui non si riusciva ad appoggiare nulla. Stanza molto rumorosa perchè affaccia sulla tangenziale. La colazione ottima, peccato che il giorno dopo abbiano proposto le torte avanzate il giorno prima. Unica nota positiva il personale che è stato sempre disponibile e gentile. Hanno investito tanto nell’abbellimento degli spazi comuni ma nulla nel comfort delle stanze. Non ci siamo, un hotel deve garantire il minimo sindacale senza se e senza ma.

Tutto perfetto, Era il mio compleanno e mi hanno anche fatto una torta! Personale simpatico, pronto e gentile Colazione buonissima e posizione anche. Se potessi avrei dato un 4.5 per la mancanza di acqua nella stanza, anche una bottiglietta sarebbe andata bene ma la cosa che non mi è piaciuta era la qualità del sonno, non per rumori o materasso, ma per i cuscini di qualità non buona che mi hanno fatto venire un po’ il mal di testa. Però in tutto l’hotel è perfetto e lo consiglio vivamente. Tornerò sicuramente!!
