Booked this hotel with high expectations from the reviews I had read previously to visiting so was expecting a very good experience what we actually got was a good showcase on first impressions but as the days past of a 1 week holiday costing £4600 for 2 adults with Jet2Holidays we discovered it’s more of a jazz hands and all smiles but without the glitz and glamour we have learnt to expect from a 5star hotel that offers a upgraded experience, The hotel itself is architectural masterpiece sitting prominently on the island of Lanzarote situated in Costa Teguise but for us the experience of this supposedly unique hotel was short on luxury we would have expected more in the way of a waiter/waitress service around the pool area and a swim up bar especially when paying for the Reserve area upgrade we would have also liked to have had more availability on being able to attend the restaurants more than once in a week but found the Melia App and the hotels concierge service to be lack lustre, all in all we had a nice weeks stay but wouldn’t return on the service available especially when the main Restaurant Isn’t stocked well enough for the amount of guests it’s servicing

We are on our second to last day of our week stay. We wanted a week’s relaxation and this is it. We didn’t realise how much we needed to switch off from everyday life until we arrived. Very peaceful and relaxing, especially round the pool. Good spa. The facilities, rooms and food are fantastic - the best quality all inclusive we have stayed at. All the drinks and food are good quality. The entertainment schedule has been very good. Lots of choice, varied for all tastes. We particularly liked DJ Luca and the saxophone/violin/percussion (both round the pool & at the bar). And the rock/pop band. The Halloween night was good too. Carlos and the entertainment team keep you well informed with the day’s activities and are always very friendly. The activities are suited to the hotel and don’t disturb other guests (for example Pool classes are quiet). The hotel was also immaculately clean and well maintained. We were so relaxed we barely left the hotel. It’s right on the seafront so felt like we were by the beach at the pool. Will visit Melia again.

Stunning setting on beautiful island. We had a truly fantastic holiday. Facilities first class. Food was amazing. Staff very hard working and always pleasant. Special thanks to Jonathan for his professional attention at the Reserve Pool Bar - a Master Mixologist: cocktails were outstanding. Louis in Ginger Bar very patient and apologetic during a particularly busy night. Entertainment was really good apart from one night when band didn’t interact with audience and all their songs were really sad :(. Food first class and always huge choice. Dining room staff also very busy but tried hard to make sure guests had everything they needed. The wonderful Anika looked after us throughout our stay. Definitely worth upgrading to Reserve - those extras make everything a wee bit more special.

Tranquil and relaxing. Absolute luxury from start to finish. All the staff were so kind and helpful but I’d especially like to say thank you to Laura who called to check on my son when he got sick and made sure he was cooked a special meal in the restaurant. We really appreciate your kindness.

We went for a 5 night break which proved to be a brilliant break, weather for October 26deg blue skies and perfect accommodation entertainment throughout the day in to the evening all inclusive. The location gave us a great choice for walks either in town or countryside as for the Hotel restaurants with beautiful food to choose from and staff couldn’t do enough for customers ask a question they give you choices and recommendations, fantastic. When we arrived our room had two single beds so I rang reception with in 10 minutes staff arrived and we had a double bed no problem. The day we were leaving we had to leave room by 12 noon collection 7pm went to reception Lucia said your options are problem solved. We don’t normally go back to the same hotel But after this experience we are very tempted. 5star quality.

Lovely hotel, with a good selection of restaurants serving excellent food. Staff could not be more accommodating. Lots of classes all of which were very good in terms of variety and level of tuition. Room was spacious, dark, quiet and worth a good shower. Evening entertainment was a good standard worth some top notch live music. Not a lovely resort, so perfect for a chilled week away. Did not feel the need to leave the hotel!

We have just returned from a two week stay at this hotel.The decor and pool area are stunning, and the hotel is spotlessly clean.The rooms were lovely but our bed was so uncomfotable the mattress was not the best ,we had paid for a premium resort view thinking we would get a bigger room ,perhaps not .We thought service in some areas was slightly lacking for a 5 star hotel,the sunbeds were so uncomfortable and on a few occasions felt there was a them and us culture with the reserve side To us we feel that you have spent hard earned money and should expect the same level of service no matter what part you stay in. Food at the Shack Bar was excellent, and the Italian especially.The main buffet restaurant was OK, but food was a bit lukewarm sometimes ,we found lunchtime had a better choice overall. Just a few little things need to be tweaked to make this 5 star.People love this hotel, and I can see why, but for us, it just wasn't quite there

A relaxing beach front hotel, very clean and tidy. So easy to sit and chill at one of their 2 pools. On your visit you need to go to the Reserve pool and ask for one of their wonderful cocktails made by Jonatan... lovely gent!! Ask for a Cristie, lovely and refreshing. Excellent service...thank you!

The hotel was amazing, extremely relaxing atmosphere and very attentive service from all staff members. We upgraded to the a reserve guest and it was worth the money, breakfast was perfect, in fact all the food was amazing and the restaurants were easy to boom using the hotel App.. Chandni, our contact for the hotel, was always a text away, not that we needed any help but good to know we had her to contact if we did. I wish I could remember the names of the staff that stood out to us, a lady who served breakfast, the cocktail man at the pool bar and a few of the staff who served our drinks in the Gin Ger bar, but unfortunately my memory is a bit rubbish.. I would definitely stay again for another relaxing week.
