On arrival hotel looked very nice reception staff very welcoming first expression of room was nice smell very clean and was happy got changed and went down to snack bar and pool's had snacks had to wait for hot chips burgers being cooked noticed flies around the bread rolls as not covered properly with cling film had hot drinks from machine which was good then got sunbeds and enjoyed few hours resting until restraunte opens later First impressions was ok but food was cold everyday breakfast lunch and dinner snack bar unless you get meat that has just been cooked Xmas day dinner was so so dissapointing turkey but no roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding veg was cold not cooked properly hard carrots etc and all that fish decorations was not for me Puddings same everyday and reused for next day My partner was ill with a gastrointestinal same night after eating chicken and pudding was in bed all day after Overall we like the hotel and the lovely staff was very helpful even the cleaners are lovely but feel there isn't much around the area unless your prepared to walk around 29mins to the shops and back never went to chinese asia garden but believe it's a lovely place

It’s a good walk to the beach , the food is good quality and tasty . Plenty of both married and soloes so it’s a friendly place. From the reception to the restaurant staff all helpful and friendly . Want an extra pillow ask the cleaning lady sorted in minutes. Maintain came right away . Fully recommend this hotel. Rooms spacious and clean . Pool towels good quality you get from the Spar if not receptionist. The 1 Euro fee for a plastic cup for around the pool drinking is refundable so hand it in the reception when u check out. The wine is the same quality as most local drinks provided hotel which is certainly not the best. Towels we heard they are thread bear , yes they are thin but clean and can be changed daily if you wish . We were told by people single people staying at the hotel don’t go out as due to it being dangerous ? We went every day and saw no sign of this . There are 2bars down the road behind the Hagpad- lloyd sign. And walking past them there is a shop and left before that there is a bar with nightly entertainment all good prices.

Just arrived home from a lovely 5 days at Matas Blancas, and already looking to come back next year! 😍 We booked for 4 nights, Bed and Breakfast through OTB, though very quickly after arriving to the hotel and seeing its location, decided to upgrade to All Inclusive. Not much around at all, and at the top of a fairly steep hill, so this was much more convenient. Very pleasantly surprised at the price of the upgrade, it was absolutely worth it. Check in and check out was very quick and easy, the staff behind the desk are so lovely, answered all our questions and were very helpful. The room was quite basic but very nice, comfortable enough beds and a lovely balcony overlooking part of the hotel, could just about see the sea in the distance which was lovely. The only one ‘problem’ with the room we found was the mini fridge not being cold at all, the light in it was on so it was all plugged in and working, but it was about the same temperature as the room. Definitely not a huge issue, especially as the bar had cold water and cocktails, but if we had a tea making facility that would’ve been more annoying. The restaurant was lovely, different food every night and as a picky eater, I could find something easily every night! I wished a few times there was better labelling on what food each thing is, there was a couple but definitely not for everything, and I felt I was wasting a lot of food from not knowing exactly what it was. Cleanliness absolutely wasn’t an issue, the servers were amazing at clearing plates away and wiping down tables quickly. The snack bar was also good, but supposed to be open until 6:30 and anytime we went past 3pm, there was absolutely nothing left. The pool was maybe our favourite. Everyone staying at the hotel, and all the staff are so friendly. You could always find a sun lounger easy, there was plenty spread out. The bigger pool was freezing cold, but the smaller pool closer to the bar was lovely. Aday was amazing, always getting people up and moving, we did a walk to the beach with him and a group on our second day which was great, you can tell he really loves his job. Honestly, would come back 100%, it was a great few days break and we look forward to returning! 😍

We had to most amazing time here met new friends food good plenty to chose from we was well fed, Aday the entertainment man is the best kept us busy playing games including making sangria and minigolf we will be back without a doubt, try the spa if you get a chance it's so relaxing in there, missing the place already 😀

I don't recognise this hotel from most of the reviews. Had 10 says at end of November early December and really enjoyed it. Had a hire car which I think is a must if you want to get around and see the island. Breakfast and dinner were very good. Wasn't there for lunch often but pool bar food was just burgers and hotdogs with chips or you could make up rolls but this was for convenience of guests who could still go to full lunch in the restaurant. Hotel nice and clean, lovely room always left nice by cleaning staff on my return and quiet bar where you could also sit outside on roof terrace. Love!y spar. I used this most evenings before dinner for a swim. I was not aware of any charge although the place was very quiet during my stay with not many guests. Beaches there are best in Europe but nice and quiet. Booked again for 10 says in May. Great value for money.
