Gran Tacande Wellness & Relax Costa Adeje

This was our second stay at the hotel, and once again, we had a fantastic time. From the moment we arrived, the welcoming staff and relaxing lobby fragrance set the tone for a great visit. We stayed in room 458 with a beautiful view and a large, comfortable bed. However, the room’s furniture is starting to look a bit dated, and the ironing board placement was impractical. One issue was the air conditioning—quiet during the day but oddly loud around 2–3 a.m., which disturbed my partner’s sleep. We booked through the hotel’s Gold Level package, which is excellent value. It includes airport transfers, daily spa access (a highlight of our trip), and access to the Gold Lounge with free drinks, snacks, and always-available sunbeds. We also enjoyed a glass of Moët on the rooftop bar—though we wish it were open more than just Thursday to Saturday. The downstairs entertainment area felt outdated by comparison and was not an area you want to relax in the evening, so most nights we went out elsewhere for a drink. We dined at the new restaurant Haydee and were blown away by the tasting menu—it deserves more promotion by the hotel, as we were the only guests there that evening. Overall, an amazing five-day stay. We’ll definitely be back again.

We booked our stay at Gran Tacande 6 months prior to our visit directly through their website. This was cheaper than doing a package with any airline and it also gave us some perks which I think are worth mentioning: we had a private taxi van pick us up and drop us off at the airport for free. We were allowed to visit the spa at the hotel whenever we wanted, again for free. I would like to mention that the staff at the spa were lovely and so were the changing rooms (bring a euro if you want to rent a locker), but the spa itself I think needs updating. My boyfriend actually cut his foot on the tiling on the bottom of one of the pools, and I noticed it definitely didn't look as appealing as it does in the pictures on the website. I think while the hotel is focusing on doing upgrades right now, they should spend some money on the spa. This leads me into talking about the main pool. I've seen reviews on here previously about the tiling in the main pool being poor, so while it is good that they have taken the time to fix this, I am very confused as to why they are doing it between May - July (surely lots of people visit during these summer months, why not do it in the winter just gone?). We received an email from the hotel at the end of April letting us know that the main pool would be closed during our stay at the start of June and we were quite upset about this as if we had known we wouldn't have booked here for our anniversary trip. There was noise from the builders in the pool every week day (we arrived on a Monday) which could be heard even when the balcony door was closed. We were in room 455 and I highly recommend this suite. It's on the top floor, and literally down the hallway is the Sunset Bar. The views from the balcony were amazing, and we went in the jacuzzi pretty much every day. The room itself was large and felt modern, and the cleaner did a lovely job and always brought a new large bottle of water for us. The only thing I would note is that the toilet door has a huge gap at the top, and it is also a misty clear door. You get no privacy with this door, so maybe don't book this room if you're not 100% comfortable with the person you're with hearing you go to the toilet. I did actually get in contact with the hotel about being disheartened about the main pool being closed, as we had paid quite a bit of money, and I had asked if there was any chance of a discount. We were first asked to move our trip to when the work was finished, however we had already booked flights 4 months prior and we were staying during our anniversary so changing the dates would defeat the purpose of the trip. A few days later, I received another email saying they upgraded us for free to half board instead of just breakfast. We were extremely grateful and happy about this and thanked the person we had heard back from over email, however we ended up not being the biggest fans of the evening food. Gran Tacande is a beautiful hotel located right by a beautiful beach and close to shopping malls. The surrounding area is perfect for practically everything, weather it be a relaxing getaway or for shopping, fine dining etc. Each and every staff member are wonderful, kind and attentive. The hotel room was large, spacious and beautifully decorated, the beds and pillows comfortable and the room had a shower and a bathtub. The breakfast buffet had a diverse variety of tasty food to choose from as did the dinner buffet. It was never an issue to get a sunbed in the morning or day time, and the swimming pools were lovely. I also tried the spa although it was not included in the room reservation and I highly recommend it for a relaxing experience, and also got a massage which was exactly what I needed, and the masseur was very professional. To add the hotel has a good gym for those who like to maintain their workout routine during vacation. By the time I arrived at the airport I realised I forgot my AirPods at the hotel but the hotel found them for me and will be sending it by post, so safe to say they offer exceptional hospitality services. I was already planning my next trip there with my family while I was still there, I cant wait to experience it with my closest people.

We would like to thank recepcion for welcoming us (already….) at 31 January and assigning room 517. Whole staff was very friendly. We had a rather good - 10 nights - stay, except… dinnertime. I have never been so cold during a dinner, not even in earlier winters (January - March with evenings of 16-18°) in Tenerife! It was very cold In the restaurant in the evening. Outside only reasonably under a heater, but even then you often felt a fresh wind around you. I had to wear long trousers every evening, with a shirt and vest and then a large shawl around me. Sometimes it was only 15-16° outside. Hotel can not do anything about the weather, but why can't they make it more comfortable for the guests, especially inside? Why do 8 of the ± 12 glass doors of the restaurant have to be open? A passage of 2 doors would be wide enough. We saw people sitting inside with coats on, even with winter coats… In the morning we sat in the left part. Was just okay. We were in Tacande in December 2023. Then it wasn't really warm outside in the evening either (max. 18°?), but it wasn't unpleasant inside. A bit of a turnoff because we like to take time for dinner, talking about the day and planning the next day. Now we ate the food as quikly as possible, to go inside to the bar. It was not always comfortanble there neither. In these months it is not always that warm outside during the day either. Unfortunately, Bocana Beachclub, at the pool, has too few places in the sun. Suggestion: put two-person tables again along the ‘outside’ so more people can drink/eat in the sun? Now the sunny part was full during lunch. In the shady part - again - there was a lady in a coat... Food itself: breakfast was good; enough choice. Hot food dinner was mostly not very warm. Maybe also because you always had to ‘walk’ your plate outside? Only meat or so, direct from grill, was warm. Lunch Bocana Beachclub (3 times): was okay but nothing special. Twice around 13:30 we noticed that they couldn't handle it at all: waiting times and complaining guests. About the room: very good bed, good view, nice to have Nespresso and water A pity there are no soft-closing drawers, nor toilet seat or lid. We heard sometimes loud bumps at neighbours. Thought they were doors, but were drawers… We miss a glass wall that can be frosted, between bed and bath. No privacy at all now. In the first days we had some worn towels. After putting a note: no more. We would like to mention: Antonio, Alexey, Ruth, Cosmin, Miguel (very attentive, still a ‘student’?), Oliver. GEX: Caroline, Virginia and Juan. Our ‘afternoon-roommaid’: Ainhoha (or Carmen): very good and friendly and helping out with the bed! (duvet was sometimes made ‘odd’…). We doubt a bit about price/quality but think we would return, but not again mid December – mid March.

This is our 3rd year at this very friendly hotel and very well maintained. The location is minutes from the beach and local shopping. Lots of top Restaurants within walking distance. Our suite overlooked the sea and the pools. Breakfast has something for everyone. Lovely spa. I enjoyed a facial by Gaia. She very professional. We found that people just keep going back and I feel that says it all. We will return. Marilyn C

Difficult to some up this hotel it’s has some good points and some bad one, so overall it ok but wouldn’t come back Stayed in the gold section which had a very large room which was quite nice but had some tacky snags like torn sheets ,safe didn’t work. But did include free drinks and snack and a private area which was nice When you first into walk in the hotel it’s dark dingy and lacks any class, which is such a shame as if wouldn’t take much to give a first good impression with some design Staff are lovely and helpful and pools are stunning and large which we did enjoy This is again let down by poor breakfast which is all about quantity and not quality, again the layout of this eating area is all straight line of table, this would take much money or effort to reorganize this areas with different seating, maybe high tables, sofa areas and some plants to break up the design So some good and some bad you can choose
