Castle Farm House B&B

Very enjoyable stay. Claire and Kim made us feel extremely welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Castle Room was very quiet and comfortable. Delicious breakfast the next morning and left feeling the stay had been both enjoyable and great value for money. The only tip would be to check the boxes of free range eggs on sale outside have eggs in them, before posting the required money into the honesty box 😂.

The whole experience was fantastic. From booking to arrival to warmth of the greeting, Claire was amazing. A fantastic breakfast each morning some great advice on local areas and pubs to visit. Immaculate clean old farm house building well supplied rooms and bathrooms. Not for people with mobility issues in truth , unfortunately, unless you can scale a set of stairs however well worth the effort if you can . A brilliant couple of nights thanks Claire would definitely refurn

Good base location 5 days with good breakfast and cheery host. The only issue which is symptom of old stone buildings was nowhere to plug devices in. Finally found a power board under the bed. But minor issue.

I arrived at around 3.30pm, which I acknowledge was before the 4pm check-in, though had anticipated being able to check in, due to normal check-in times for B&B's/hotels being 2-3pm. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case, and I did have to wait until 4pm to check in. I knew this beforehand so it is not a complaint, more of an observation. I stayed on the upper floor which is dedicated to the Rockingham Suite. The room itself is spacious with a comfortable bed and additional 2-seat sofa. There is a separate bathroom and seating area on the same floor for your exclusive use, with a staircase leading down to the other rooms below. My only concern about this set-up was there was nothing to indicate or stop other guests downstairs venturing upstairs to the separate floor on which my room was situated, so when I did go to and from the bathroom from my bedroom, I had to check nobody else was present, which did not make it feel as private as it should otherwise have been. Breakfast was on a shared round table which was not a problem for me, and I enjoyed the cooked breakfast that I requested. There are parking spaces for 4 vehicle within the grounds, though this could be tricky to navigate depending on the size of other vehicles and how they have parked.

What a splendid bed and breakfast. Very spacious rooms, comfortable beds with crisp white bedding, nice and peaceful, plenty of delicious options for breakfast. Clare Is a helpful and welcoming but obtrusive host. Perfect in every respect.

We booked a room here through a third party agency but their website showed a different room to the one that was reserved for us but Claire very efficiently amended our booking to the room of our choice. We stayed in the spacious first floor Castle Room which is very tastefully furnished with antique furniture, a lovely sofa in the bay window with superb garden view and a most comfortable bed that can be made up as a twin or king-size. The en-suite bathroom with its free standing roll top bath and separate shower stall was bigger than some rooms we have stayed in! Claire’s Full English Breakfasts were very tasty. We can honestly say that Castle Farm House B & B in Rockingham is by far and away the best B & B that we have stayed in for many years.
