Acacia Motor Lodge

Everything about this place is 4 star. Large clean and well set out room with quality fittings. The bed was very comfortable with first class linen and pillows. The bathroom was also large with seperate shower and bath with great towels. This place has obviously been refurbished recently to a great standard.

We enjoyed our stay at the Acacia Motel in Coonabarabran. Good size room, everything was clean and comfortable. We received a complimentary continental breakfast for booking directly with the hotel. We also enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant for dinner. The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful and friendly.

Looking for overnight stay in Coonabarabran and so pleased on selecting Acacia Motor Lodge. From the booking over the phone with Bob, through to reception with Bob, to dinner in the motel's restaurant (with Bob as the waiter), it was a most pleasant experience. Spacious room, good facilities and a very comfortable bed. Ordered the chicken schnitzel in the restaurant and must say it was one of the best from memory. Highly recommend this motel if staying in Coonabarabran.

This motel is centrally located and is the most modern and spacious of 7 motels we've used in the last fortnight. The massive bed was exceptionally comfortable and the room was quiet. The kettle and large mugs, the shampoo and conditioner, and other items are all of the highest quality. Our room was across a quiet street from Reception and the restaurant. We would highly recommend this motel and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Friendly check in, the rooms are a good size, quiet and well appointed. the motel is quiet and close to the middle of town. There is a restaurant available, but we used the local ones. this is a good base for exploring the region.

Really friendly check in ., Very clean reception and garden Room (11) was very clean . Huge room. Such good value for money. Bed super comfy. Shower was epic ! Ordered room service (chicken schnitzel) and was pretty good. Totally recommend this place

My husband and I have stayed at this motel several times before and every time I have given a rating of 5 out of 5. This time however we had an issue with the pressure of the water in the motel as well as the hot water in the shower. The owner/manager looked at this for us but we still didn't have sufficient hot water or pressure to have a decent shower after a long journey. This is why I am only giving a rating of 4 out of 5. Apart from that, this motel has always been a favourite of mine and it has extremely comfortable beds. This time we had stayed in a Standard Family Room which had 2 large bedrooms and large bathroom. I would still highly recommend this motor lodge to anyone staying in Coona.

This motel suited our needs pretty well. Pros included spacious rooms, easy parking, quietness, comfortable room temperature, extremely comfortable beds, and good location (just a couple of minutes' walk to facilities on the main road, and 30 minutes' drive to the magnificent Warrumbungle National Park). The room had a good TV, a bar fridge, microwave, kettle, and toaster. A good bathroom and shower with lots of hot water. We had a few housekeeping issues, but these were rectified after we spoke to reception. Motel rooms are located on 2 floors - be sure to ask for a ground floor room if you have mobility issues, as there is no lift. Breakfast is continental and served to your room on a tray the night before. We did a lot of self-catering, and if you too choose to do so, you'd need to bring your own supplies eg tea towel, dishwashing liquid, plates and bowls, cutlery etc. (There's a good big Woolworths and also an IGA nearby which is very handy, as dining options in Coonabrabran are limited. There's a pub down the road, and also a Chinese restaurant next door to the motel.) Decore in the motel is a little tired and could do with refurbishment, but this didn't affect the comfort of our stay. Also there's a pool and spa - again, a little run-down, but excellent for dipping one's legs into after a hard day's bushwalking in the Warrumbungles! Overall, a good option for a stay in Coonabarabran.

Well-placed motel near to the centre of town. Enough off the highway for mostly quiet overnight, and nice big comfortable rooms. Restaurant food was very nice, and alternatively the Chinese next door is excellent too.
