Hipotels Gran Conil & Spa

Our first time in Conil at Hipotels Gran Conil. The staff are so helpful with a complimentary upgrade given. Most staff speak Spanish, German and English. The place is so luxurious, with the beach a stones throw away and the shops approximately 15 minutes walk from the hotel. The meals are first class and to the highest standard it's like a banquet with the amount of food and different varieties on offer. The rooms are very spacious and immaculately looked after by the staff. If you haven't visited then put this on your bucket list. We will be back very soon and thanks again for the best holiday!!!

Absolutely perfect in every way. Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Room was superb. Food was delicious with lots of choice. Pool area fantastic. Fabulous location and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. Can't wait to book for next year.

**Rooms** The rooms are spacious, nicely furnished, and cleaned daily. However, the amenities vary, such as small balconies without loungers or showers instead of bathtubs. **Restaurant and Food** The food is very good, and the restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere. However, after about a week, the selection can become somewhat predictable. I would have appreciated at least a complimentary bottle of water with dinner for half-board guests. Unfortunately, all drinks, including water, must be paid for separately. **Staff** The staff is very friendly and helpful, with many speaking multiple languages. **Beach** The beach in Conil is large, clean, and offers pleasant water temperatures. It's ideal for children, as the sea is safe with small waves. However, it can get a bit crowded on weekends. **Location** Easily accessible, just about a 45-minute bus ride from Jerez Airport. **Negative Points:** Average infrastructure, with a pool that's too small for the size of the hotel. The gym could be improved with additional equipment like a power rack Smith machine. There is only a small playground for younger children and a beach volleyball court. Additionally, only bottled water is available for purchase at the pool, which is inconvenient, especially for families with children. A water dispenser would have been appreciated. **Entertainment and Shows** A weak point of the hotel. The shows are mainly suitable for young children or older adults (over 60), making them boring and sometimes too loud for other guests. The musical shows are on the level of a karaoke bar. **Town and Surroundings** Conil is a small town that gets particularly crowded with tourists on weekends. There isn’t a truly charming old town center, and walking around the town can be stressful. **Summary**: A good hotel with excellent food, clean rooms, friendly staff, and convenient access, as it's only about 45 minutes from Jerez Airport. The large, clean beach with pleasant water temperatures is also a plus. However, there are weaknesses in the entertainment, a pool that's too small without a water dispenser, average infrastructure, and the gym could be better equipped. Additionally, I would have liked to see a complimentary bottle of water included with dinner for half-board guests. Overall, we give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Honestly, such a stunning hotel. I came here solo for a relaxed holiday and its probably one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in, in Spain. Because I came in February, it was very quiet. Which wasn't a bad thing! A few of the restaurants surrounding were closed due to the season however the food in the hotel is not badly priced at all. ROOM: Very clean and big! Bathroom is stunning and beds are comfy. Shower pressure is really good. BEACH: The longest beach I've ever seen. White sand, clean water. You can walk for miles and watch a stunning sunset. FOOD: They have the restaurant downstairs where you get a buffet for a set price. Buffet seems to change every night but only slightly. They have a wide variety of foods, from Pizza/Pasta to Fish Steak. Amazing salad bar and great selection of desserts. They also have the bar on the main floor where they also serve food and drinks. That's open all day, so you can get breakfast/lunch and dinner. The only thing I'd say about the bar area is I think they should play some music. Or at least pay the sound of whatever they're showing on the big screen as the atmosphere is lacking slightly. STAFF: Staff are so kind and lovely. They can't do enough for you and are always saying hello when you walk past. POOL: Pool area is massive and there's plenty of sunbeds. I can imagine in the summer its rammed of people. GYM: Went a couple of times to the gym and it's perfect for what you want on holiday. I will definitely come back here!

Everything in this hotel was nice. The rooms are large and clean, there is an excellent breakfast and dinner, pool still ok for the season, not too crowdy, quiet guests. We stayed just one night, but this was one of the nicest hotels during our 11 day trip through Andalusia.

The hotel has three major faults. 1. They turn the air conditioning off in the winter months. This may work at times, but for early November the rooms were far too hot. Sleeping without the door wide open was difficult. Which leads to problem two… 2. They have live music outside in the courtyard every night, both flamenco (stomping) and house. If you like such music, great. If you don’t - tough. You have no choice but to participate until nearly 11:00pm every night. It vibrates through your room. 3. The buffet (both breakfast and evening on one night) were poor by comparable standards. Plenty of choice, but the food was lower quality than I would expect for a four star hotel. Some absolute basics were missing, for example bananas. The pool is good, and the rooms are comfortable other than too hot and too noisy. Of course, the arrangements might suit some, but the first two points ought to made clear to guests before booking.
